Solved

Hello! I have a US passport but a German residence permit. I would prefer to buy a Eurail ticket over an Interrail ticket, but the terms and conditions have been unclear if that’s allowed, as I am a non-European citizen but a European resident. Could someone clarify the rules for me? Thanks!

Before I can choose which pass I need to buy, I was wondering if the first travel from your home country to the first city and the travel back to your home country counts as traveling days. In other words, if I want to visit 5 cities, do I need the pass for 5 traveling days or the pass for 7 traveling days?

Hi guys! I’m planning to start my route in Rijeka and first travel to Amsterdam which is 23 hours long. I’m wondering does it use more than one travel day off my ticket to travel there? I have to take 3-4 different trains during those 23 hours to get there?

This will sound very stupid but I have not booked any seat reservations yet for my interrail trip I am currently on, and I need to travel from Hamburg to Copenhagen tomorrow, 9th of July. Can anyone help with seat reservations? I keep receiving error messages from the interrail website and the countries train line websites.

I have a 10 day Global Pass and I will be in Switzerland in September There are some trains that are not covered by the Eurail Pass. They do offer discounts on some trips however. My question is If you use your pass to get a discount does that count as a day of your travel days ?  ThanksDenny

So what happend?I’m checking my seat reservations and I have two seat reservations for the 12:26 ICE 314 train from Frankfurt am Main to Brussels Midi (South station) on Saturday 12th of August. From there I have two seat reservations for 15:52 THA 9351 to Rotterdam Central station. I bought the ICE seat reservations at OBB. I’m checking the exact train times and the 12:26 ICE 314 is completely missing from the schedules. So what is the best thing to do? How can I change my seat reservations for both the ICE and the THA ?Any help? Thanks in advance !

I have now fixed my Itinerary for Europe as hectic as it goes but this is the best we can do in the space we have seeing all the things we want to see and meeting my son in Rome through to KrakowThe parts not mentioned lon -rome & venice to krakow & Krakow to Munich are flightsWe have set rail journeys we wish to take and here they are below. What i would like to know is apart from Duss to Paris on Thalys and Paris to London on Eurostar ,  do any of these other trips need mandatory reservations on top of the seat cost.I am currently working out if individual train journey tickets for 1 adult and  2 youths 25 and under will cost more than say a 4/6/7 day Eu rail pass. plus any extra like Eurostar reservationThe part i am unsure of is if i get a EU rail pass and apart from the two journeys mentioned above are reservations mandatory if i buy EU rail or not. Does buying a Eu rail pass mean we have to buy reservations for every trip[ Dusseldorf Paris 26th Dec   Paris L

Hi, I have been trying to book 4 tickets from Paris (Gare de Lyon) to Barcelona-Sants on the 13th of August. Every time I try to checkout to pay, the website tells me that there is an error and that I have to find other options. Is there any other way to book those seats?Does anyone have SNCF email o contact ? (I am not in France and they didn´t answer to the phonecall)Thankss

I’m looking to get around small distances over just a week or so.  Successfully did more than two months last year with a Eurail pass for the two of us, but different mode of travel this time… so all I want is to get from Milan to Verona to St Moritz to Leipzig, to Dresden and back to Leipzig to get the overnight train to Zuirch. *over 7 days* Is it worth getting a rail pass, if I can’t get a seven day pass for the overnighter…  What about the Berlina Express?  Ta

Hi! I’ve been reading some topics about the connections to Belgrade. So, my question is: how can I arrive in Belgrade from any country around? Even if there aren’t train connections.

So I'm using the app on an amazing trip so far and everything on the app works brilliantly except one thing which makes taking screenshots for Instagram or such not work well. It is creating a line on it's own from the last destination I have entered so far back to my start destination. Does anyone know how to stop this?

I am ready to purchase an Eurail pass and would like to verify if the phone number I enter at the time of purchase matters. I currently have a Canadian phone #, however will be getting an European phone # once I get to Europe. Will I be able to activate the Eurail pass with the European phone # when I get there, or will I have to use my Canadian phone #, which I will use at time of purchase? Thanks in advance!

Hi there, just a quick feedback for the great Rail Planner app since I found it confusing that travel days are shown next to outbound/inbound days used like this:This may lead to people (at least me ;)) thinking that they have 7 travel days and in addition to that also one outbound and one inbound travel day. Of course, this clears up once you’ve added your first ticket, however I was confused at first and thought: yeah, that’s great, I must have missed this on the website that outbound/inbound travel days are on top (which they are not). Possible solutionsMaybe an info button next to the text “outbound/inbound” would do. It could explain what these days mean and that there are a subset of the travel days. Maybe another representation would be better, e.g. some nested layout, but I don’t really have an idea for that and it shouldn’t overcomplicate the layout. Maybe add the text: “… therefore” (of the 7 travel days) All the best,Dominic

Hi! I am planning to go visit the greek islands with a 6 day pass (+ maybe a 4 day pass). Now I have the following question:I know that with the 6 day pass, I have two international days and I know that night connections only count as 1 international day (departure). When I looked up the connection, I realised that the ferry between Ancona and Patras makes a stop in Igoumenitsa. Now: I couldnt find out, if the ferry just stops there or if I have to change the ferry. And more importantly if it still counts as "one trip" (-> Ancona to Patras) or if its a different / seperate trip, because that would mean that I had to use a second international day.Does anyone know that? Thanks for reading thus far :) GreetingsDaniel & Maria

We are travelling from Brussels to Amsterdam tomorrow Sunday 2nd April. Made decision to take cheap intercity. Looking on planner it's now asking to pay supplement. I think for the airport we don't want obviously! Also train now taking 3h 15m instead of 2h 50m. Can anyone tell me do we have to pay this on board or before hand? Do we have to pay if we are not using airport? We are a family of 6. Thanks

Hi. Could someone please send me a Eurail Map of Italy train stations? Thank you very much.

Hi guys, I’d like to know about your experience using the discount card in the DiscoverEu app. Is it really useful? Where did you use it?Any advices for the trip are also grateful. Thanks!!

Good afternoon, I try to make a reservation for train 195 Hernad, from Kosice (14.01) to Miskolc (15.19) on the 1st of October, first class.Via oebb.at, zssk.sk and cd.cz it is not possible to book this reservation (yet?). On mav.hu it is possible to book a train ticket for this train, but I cannot find an option to book only a seat reservation. On (for example) thetrainline.com it is possible to book a train ticket for this train. Is there another option to make a seat reservation for this train?Thank you :-)

Hi, I will be travelling with my child (16) across Europe and using some nightjet trains. Two questions, as they are 16 and we'd rather not share accom if possible, is the only option to book entire compartments? Also, if we decide to go for 1st class interrail tickets; does anyone know if the standard supplement cost (~€140) get reduced as we are paying a 1st class ticket, or are all supplements the same price? Also final thought, is the supplement per person, I'm guessing so, therefore sleeper would be almost €300 for the two of us! Is that correct?  Thanks in advance for all your help 👍❤️

Hallo, i need help. First I had problems to activate my pass. And I get support after one week. Then we had an sickness, I should send an notification of illness, then the support wanted to extend my pass. But nothing happend. The pass for three month cost 1200 € first class, I bought the most expensive pass, but there is no good support. You have cost on top, for seat reservation, actually these reservations are the tickets not your pass. So interrail is an discount for tickets and not a ticket. That they said in Spain and in France. The seat reservation are close to the actual price of a normal ticket in Portugal. The application doesn’t work well. The train strikes. It takes ages to get a solution from you. I thought your company is there for 50 years. My experience with interrail is more like with an start up. I don’t get it, everytime when I ask for something, the system does not allow this, it’s your company I thought. It’s your system so please help me. I done my job so please ext

Is it a problem during the train check if you have a 1st class train ticket but booked the seat reservation for the 2nd class because there was no free seat in 1st class?

I’ll be heading from Rome to Klagenfurt via Venice. Interrail is telling me that I need to pay €10 supplement fee (2nd class) for the second leg from Venice to Klagenfurt. Upon further reading about supplement fee, it seems that I can pay for seat reservation (€5,5) and it includes the €10 supplement fee. From Interrail websiteMy question is, does this seat reservation (which is optional) include the supplement, or will I still have to pay the €10 supplement fee? Anyone encounter this before?

Is is possible to get from Brussels to Utrecht without using the Thalys? We’re travelling next Wednesday (12th July) and would prefer to avoid the expensive reservation fee. Any ideas on how to do this journey? Thanks
