Solved

We are planning on traveling from zermatt to como however in Milan there is a 15 minute transfer that says “transfer by public transportation”. There’s only 30 minutes to do this and I have no idea what kind of transportation there is or if it’s even provided. I don’t want to miss our train. Does anyone know what this could be? Thanks a ton for the help!!

I have a global pass and want to travel fromParis to Zurich.I  have a reservation from Paris Gare Lyon to Basel SBB. But no reservation from Basel to Zurich. Can  I use the pass to take the next train to Zurich

Hi there, on the last day of my trip my pass suddenly disconnected from saved trip and I had to re- add the pass but I lost all the data (journeys etc) that were connected to that pass. Can you advise how I can recover this / reconnect the pass to saved trip/ consolidate the two trips on to the one pass ? I currently have two trips- one has most of the journeys but isn’t connected to the pass , and one is the new trip I had to create to get home! Many thanksFrancesca

I think that the trip from Bucharest to Istanbul in May should count as one interrail day as there is a through sleeper from Dimitrovgrad to Halkali. My problem is that the Interrail app is coming up as two separate journeys on two separate days:Dimitrovdrad - Kapikule 22.50-00.45 on SaturdayKapikule - Halkali 2.30-6.34 on SundayHow do I avoid using two days of my 5 day pass? Thanks

Looking to travel from Bordeaux over to Spain to explore the Basque Country, San Sebastián and Bilbao would be ideal. However the trains don’t look the best, says it’ll be 26 hours of travelling which feels a bit much. is there anything we are missing or is that just the way it is? Cheers!,fraser

I am traveling with my family and want to get a pass for us all - 3 of us are UK citizens and resident in the UK and one is citizen of the US and not resident in the UK (on a tourist visa).  Which pass should I get?

Hello there,I am going to Syracuse in Sicily, Italy this summer, for about a week. I prefer not to take the plane, and was thinking taking the train could be a good alternative. Do you have any suggestions for which route to take and which stations/trains to take? I was thinking:Belgium (starting in Antwerp or Brussels), France, Swiss, Italy (Catania is closest big railwaystation). Would like to make as less stops as possible in between Belgium and Italy. And which pass should I buy for this? This is all very new to me :) Would this be a good option, or does anyone know about a direct option from Belgium to Italy (I prefer to go there in 1 ride, I dont want to make stops in any cities in between). Thanks so much!Anne

There have been a number of questions recently about upcoming track work in Sweden and people (including me) have said to check out the sj.se site for information on scheduled works. However, when I look at the page it talks of diversions and changes to schedules in April (last month) all the way back to February.  I don’t see much for for May and nothing for June.Is anyone aware of any more recent or up to date information?

Hi! My Friends and I are traveling to Greece for the summer and we wanted to buy the interrail Greece pass (not the island one) in order to discover continental Greece. However, when I use the interrail app to check the timetables of the trains from Athens to Thessaloniki and vice versa, it says that those trains are not available. What could be happening? It is going to be possible to travel Greece by train this summer? I know that last summer was not possible because some railway stuff... Anyways, thank you so much!

Hello, I have a flex pass of 5 days and I want to know how can I plan multiple destinations/ stops in 1 day ?For example: I will do Wurzburg-Germany => Nuremberg-Munich => Salzbourg-Austria..Should I set up every step each city or from Wurzburg => Austria is enough? Thanks

HelloI’m going to be getting a greek island hopping pass I wanted to check does it include the hi speed ferries which are on the blue star ferries website? I’m struggling to find this information anywhere Thank you😀

Hi all. im due to return to the uk from my 6 weeks interrailing in a fortnight. (Noooooo!!!) I arrive into London on the evening of the 16th on the Eurostar and plan to travel to glasgow the following morning. But does taking the Eurostar into London the night before count as my in bound travel day with my pass? Or can I still use my pass the following morning to get up to Scotland? just not quite sure how that bit works and wanting to plan ahead in case…

i need step by step instructions on how to book and pay for a reservation using the eurail app. I was able to create my trip but it requires a reservation and I cannot figure out how to do it.

Hi! I'm trying to book seats but is impossible in the eurail website. Do you know if I can book the seats anywhere else? I want to reserve seats from Brasov to Budapest. From Wien to Berlin. From Amsterdam to Paris. From Paris to Milano. And from Milano to Venezia. In August. Thanks a lot!

My last eurail pass was in 1983!  I’ve found EC52 direct from Milano to Spiez on July 10 at 11:20 in the Rail Planner app.  When I go to book a reservation using the website, the direct train to Spiez doesn’t appear. The route when using the website reservation system has me changing in DOMODOSSOLA and again in Brig.   My question is if I can just get the reservation from Milano to Domodossola on EC52, and then stay on that direct train without a reservation on to Spiez.  Thanks so much, Tom

Hello,Could someone guide me how to reserve a seat with interrail global pass? When does an option open up to reserve a seat?Thank you and best regards,Hrishikesh

Hello,I am resident of Hamburg Germany and I have purchased an Interrail pass. For my journey from Hamburg to Frankfurt, it is being shown as an inbound/outbound trip, which I find confusing.  I would like to use 2 days in the pass for inbound/outbound journeys as Hamburg to Prague and Prague to Hamburg. If my Hamburg-Frankfurt journey is incorrectly marked as inbound/outbound trip, I would not be able to make reservations for the Hamburg-Prague-Hamburg trips. Please guide me how it works. Thanks and regards,Hrishikesh

I can not add my journey or a traveller. When i add a journey, it says i just have to add the traveller (myself). When i do that, it says i have to add a journey. and so on…I don`t know what to do..All my journeys i tried to create are cancelled (it says they are already done?)

Hi everyone, I want to book a nighttrain between Stockholm and Hamburg. According to the Interrail’s planner, it should be possible (from 39€) but after buying my pass, it seems that there is no day where it is available (always “Seat reservations required from NA”). I try on sj.se too but even when there are some place available, there is no discount with the Interrail pass. Does anyone know how it is possible to book these trains (my pass is useless otherwise) ?  Thanks in advance

So I am planning a trip over 12 days. I plan to do a Round trip between Krakow and Auschwitz on the 16th and then take a night train to Prague (the same evening). Then I plan to take a train from Prague to vienna on the 20th, followed by a train from Vienna to Munich on the 22nd, then a night train from Munich to Paris on the 25th. I currently have a 5-day in a month pass to be safe but I am wondering if I should get a 4, especially because the train to Prague was initially going to be the next day. The money saved would be very nice (I bought the 5-day when it was $310 back in February). Also, unrelated to the original but the Train between Krakow and Prague has some disruption to the line. My Chzech knowledge is nonexistant and I cannot tell if the disruption will affect the scheduled night train. Thanks!

I’m currently trying to decide if I should buy the 2 month continuous rail pass, or the 15 in 2 month pass. I’ve worked out all my itinerary and transit. Considering ONLY transit between each big city destination I would save around €175 by choosing the 15 day option. This is doing all my math to consider which trains require reservations and so on.I am hesitating because I’m wondering how much I would use the EuRail pass once I am actually AT my destination. I know I cannot use the pass for busses or metros, but I can still use them for trains (including if I wanted to add any last minute day trips into my itinerary). I’m debating whether the flexibility with the continuous pass is financially worth it, and if its worth it because of savings when I’m actually in each city. My question to the community - is the pass worth it while you are in the city? Did anyone find themselves using the pass often for getting around big city centres? For example, getting around Rome as I’m staying fur

Hello,How to add paper pass in the interrail app, so that we can keep track of our trips in the app also?

Hi everyone, I am helping 2 friends, who are 1st time Eurailers, with the ‘benefit’ of my experience of 4 years ago.😬 They are travelling from Italy-France-Italy in June. They have the first trip sorted (La Spezia to Como San Giovanni), but we're having problems with seat reservations from Como SG to Lyon on 16 June. We can book the 1st leg from Como SG (dep 0904) to Basel (arr 1256) or Como SG (dep 0950) to Zurich (arr 1227), but not onward to Lyon. This is using OBB website, following instructions from other topics.RailPlanner app says that 0904 trip from Como SG needs a seat reservation from Como-Basel and Mulhouse (dep 1357) to Lyon (arr 1656). The 0950 trip from Como SG needs seat reservations from Como SG-Zurich, Zurich-Dijon and Dijon-Lyon.Even if I break down the sectors, as other posters have suggested, OBB says ‘no ticket available’ for both options (only Basel-Mulhouse-Lyon shown below).Basel-MulhouseMulhouse-LyonWhat are we doing wrong, or is it too soon to make this booki

Dear community,I wanted to activate my mobile pass in the app yesterday (last day to be activated), however, the app-activation unfortunately did not go through (seemed to be a technical issue). Now it just says the pass is expired in the app :(Is there any possibility to get the expired pass re-activated for the remaining time of the 3months? Unfortunately, I could not find a phone number to talk to somebody in person and could only send a general request. Please help - I don’t want to lose my Interrail pass before even starting my trip :(Thank you all!Marc
