Solved

Hey there!I traveled from Berlin to Barcelona using two travel days. I started with an swiss over-night train from Berlin to Karlsruhe. From there I took a french TGV to Paris. It was counted as two travel days which I planned with.BUT: Also they counted both of my outbound and inbound travels which doesn’t make sense to me due to the fact, I was traveling non-stop from Berlin to Barcelona. How can I fix it? (As no one of support team seems to be reachable and I want to use my inbound travel soon). Many thanks for any advice!Nina

As a NL resident, I want to go to Luxembourg.  The route transits Belgium. And there's the rub.   The public transport in Luxembourg is free… smart smart smart. Can I use a 1 country pass and have it count for the transit country, Belgium?   Or do I need a global pass? Thanks!

Hello we have now experienced twice not being able to order seat tickets. On monday 24th we are going from Budapest to Zagreb, but can’t order a seat ticket without paying for a regular ticket as well. On tuesday 25th we Will then go from Zagreb to Split with the only Daily departure, where a seat ticket is required. However, we cannot understand how to order that seat ticket, and we are nervous that the train will be fully booked when we arrive in Zagreb to buy the tickets physically at the train station. Can someone please help us?:)))

Hello I am new here and new to interrailing.I am travelling for the first time through from the Netherlands to do a stretch of the Camino in France/Spain and then onto a few city stops.  I willl probably book a 7 day one month card.My question: How far in advance should I reserve my seats? All tips are welcome.Kind regards,Simi

Hi I have been trying for a month to reserve a train from France Gare de Lyon to Milano Central. There are trains on the list and every time I put the reservations in my cart then click to proceed to payment I get an error message. I started trying 90 days in advance so I assumed it was all of the protests and such stopping trains from France being booked. I am still getting the error message. Do my Eurail passes not cover an international train from France to Milan, could that be the issue? I have tried different computers, different websites and I am still not able to reserve a seat on a train that says seat reservations are required. I would so appreciate anyone’s help to try to resolve this.

HelloI have an Interrail Pass that expires on 3 May. However, my journey back home is on the 4th of May. It is cheaper for me to buy another pass for 4 days in a month than a normal standard ticket. It concerns the journey from London St. Pancras to Zurich. I need 2 seat reservations for London - Paris (Eurostar) and Paris - Zurich (TGV).I would like to book these now. However, as 4 May is outside my 1st pass, I get an error message. However, I have bought the 2nd pass and have also activated it.Waiting until the first pass expires on 3 May is not an option, as seat reservations should be made as early as possible....Can anyone help me? Thank you very much!

I have booked the Irish Ferries sailing to Dublin tomorrow at  14.10.  The 9am train from Euston doesn't get in to Holyhead until 14.18 according to the Interrail and DB websites. Seat 61 advises that the train from Euston gets in at 12 50. I know there can be issues with the timetable on the Interrail site .Anyone know what's the option are as getting an earlier train has some short transfers. There is a bus trip as part of the route from Rhyl in any option I look at . Many thanks.

I already booked seat for 2 pax, and i’ve randomly got seat number 8C and 9C. However, i prefer seat in the same row such as 8C and 8D. How can I do?

Can I change cell phones  before I leave? My Pass is Added, no trips connected

Hey community…I was wondering if anyone has tried to purchase a Greek Island pass in the past couple days and been unable to? Every time I try to add it to my cart I get a messaging telling me that this pass can’t be added to my cart because its not possible to buy a mobile pass and a paper pass together at the moment. to continue, check out with the passes in my cart first then come back and buy this pass separately. Thing is, I don’t have anything in my cart - yep its empty!!

I’m currently travelling and been using the eurail app with Mobile pass for the last 2,5 weeks. today my mobile pass suddenly disappeared from the app. My trip was still there but the pass isn’t anymore. I tried to re add the pass, but now it is not connected to my trip anymore. It says I used both my inbound and outbound on the pass, I think because I already put my travel home (tomorrow and Saturday) in the first planned trip.I tried to re install the app, but this didn’t make a difference. What can I do to be able to use my pass and the inbound that I need soon? Hopefully someone knows can help me, because I need to be able to use it by tomorrow morning.best regards, Sanne

Hi,How do you book the Lake Brienz ferry on the Eurail app?

So, I programmed my travel to april 20 of 2023 and I couldn’t travel because the strike on Berlin, I programmer an other one on to 21 april, but the same thing. I already lost two days that I couldn’t use. What can I do?!

My student son was traveling today from Freiburg-Bruges and forgot to activate his travel day/ticket on his eurailpass (although he saved it to his planner). Throughout the entire journey, he was never asked to scan his ticket. He missed one of his connections making it impossible to reach Bruges till several hours after midnight so he quickly changed his plans, decided to stay on his current train and spend the night in Amsterdam, continuing his journey tomorrow. When he went to leave the train station in Amsterdam he needed to scan a ticket to depart, but when he went to activate it on his eurailpass, the app wouldn’t allow it since it was after midnight. So he joined a line of people that weren’t scanning their tickets and now he is worried about not only being fined for this (50 + 15 euros) but being required to buy a ticket. He is returning to the train station tomorrow to continue his journey and straighten things out, but what I want to know is will the folks at the train statio

Hi All, I am planning to visit Europe in summer and looking to purchase a Global pass. The problem which I am having is to understand the travel days. The pass which I choose was 5 days in 1 month. My itinerary is given below: I arrive to Rome via international flight on 22nd June Rome to Milan -----25 JuneStay will remain in Milan for 3 nights and will visit Venice in betweenMilan to Venice -----27 JuneVenice to Milan------27JuneMilan to Zurich------28th JuneZurich to Paris-------1st JulyParis to London------4th JulyFlight back to home on 7th July Now if you look at it there are 5 destinations which I am visiting and Venice is the one which I will be covering in 1 day and will be back to Milan. When I enter these details in Eurail planner, it shows me 6 days of travel and recommends 7 days in 1 month pass. I am confused because as per the information about the travel day, you can travel as many trains as you want after midnight to before next midnight and it will count as 1 day. Pleas

I ordered two interrail passes - one for me, one for my child - but we do not receive any confirmation mail. According to the order overview and the “invoice” it is paid, but I am still waiting for the email with my pass. The chat bot is also not really helpful. We wanted to travel tomorrow and I have already booked seats. The only notification on the upper part of the order is: components.orderState. Does anybody knows what this means?

Hi! Im traveling from Canada - Can we use the Global Train pass to travel within the cities? or just to outside towns and other cities?  what pass would I need to take busses and trains within city limits?

How can I get a refund form Deutsche Bahn for my seat reservations. ( due to a strike the train doesn't run). Deutsche Bahn says I can refund the seat reservations, but I got them through interrail, and the refund page of interrail says DB doesn't refund them  .

I am trying to do the seaet reservation from OSLO to Myrdal  5 May 6:25.But the web always loading for a long time, then showed “ Price unavailable”. I checked VY, they have seat available. Can I directly book the seat from VY?  I have to keep the pass no activate until I can book the seat?

We were on the 12th April Paris-Hendaye train that got terminated at Bordeaux due to vandalism further down the line.  We were travelling on a first class eurail pass so consumed one travel day on it plus the additional first class reservation charges.  Are we entitled to any compensation for the bus tickets we had to buy to complete our journey to San Sebastian and the approximate 7 hour delay to our arrival as a result? Most of the information I can find relates to trains that are either cancelled entirely or delayed, but not to trains that commence the journey but fail to complete it.

Hi everyone, sorry if this question has been answered elsewhere, I just couldn’t find it…So, we live in Germany and are planning to get a One Country Pass for France to visit some friends in September. Can we use the pass for the outgoing train from Germany and the inbound train on our way back? I know this is possible with the Global Pass, just not sure about the One Country ones…Thanks in advance!

My friend and I both bought a 2-months Global Pass. We are going to travel together for 45 days, then she will depart to her home country, and I will continue to use the Pass for remaining 15 days.I am going to put both Passes on to my iPhone, as she doesn’t use a mobile device. My question is: Would my Pass still working as normal, after she left? Would I get into any problems, as I have two Passes on my device, but only one person travel, after she left?

I can already book a seat reservation for the thalys via b europe with my interrail pass for the 28th of july. Via the interrail website itself there is not yet an option. Is it fine to book the reservation with your interrail ticket via the official b-europe thalys website?

HiI am finding ticket reservations for trains in Spain to be challenging, Can anyone advise?I understand long distance/high speed trains in Spain need reservations. You must collect reservations within 72 hrs of booking, at a station in Spain. However these reservations are released to general public 24 hrs before departure and therefore you loose the reservation, if not collected 24 hrs before departure. I am also told there are no charges for reservationsMy first station is Barcelona and I want to go straight on to Madrid I cannot use a reservation because my arrival will be less than 24 hrs from departure. It appears the only solution is for me to go to the ticket office in Barcelona and show my Interail pass and hope there are seats that I can use to get to Madrid. Is this correct? Then if there are seats available I presume these are free with my Interrail pass- Is this also correct. If I am missing something please advise. Thanks Malcolm

Hello, I have a question regarding ferry reservations with the Greek Islands pass: would it be possible to book the same ferry trip for two different days and then cancel the one I do not use? Many thanks in advance
