Solved

Hi there,I'm planning my Interrail trip for next summer. The idea is to travel from the Netherlands to Ancona or Bari (Italy) and from there take the ferry to Albania. Now it seems nice to travel to München by day train and from there take the night train to Ancona. However, I'm struggling with the ICE reservations. The most convenient route would be to take the 08.34 ICE 105 from Utrecht Centraal to Mannheim and change to the 12.30 ICE 595 to München (preferred date 10 July). Now, via the "seat only" option on the Deutsche Bahn website, I try to reserve seats for said trains. The ICE 595 seems to work fine, but for the ICE 105 it says "Reservation temporarily not possible". I've tried several times over the course of 1-2 weeks so it seems persistent and not temporary.Another option is the 11.04 ICE 123 from Utrecht to Cologne/Köln and from there the 13.55 ICE 519 to München. Seat reservations for both ICE 123 and ICE 519 can be booked just fine. So it's probably not (a) that I'm too ea

I just found out that I purchased a 15 day pass for 15 days. We thought it was 15 days in 30 days. yikes.I see I can buy a new pass and then refund the original one. I am worried about my reservations I bought for 4 of us for multiple travelers. Will my reservations transfer over also? We are leaving for Europe in 2 days. Thank you!

I would like to board on this train can someone please tell me I have Eurail Global pass, can I pay extra and reserve seat ? If yes from which website  Thanks a lot in advance.

Can someone please guide me how to book seat reservations from London to Paris to Bordeaux (st Jean station).  I am needing to book seat reservation from London via Paris  to Bordeaux on same day Monday July 3, 2023 .  I was able to get a seat from London to Paris, and there is connection time to get to Paris Montparnasse station  to Bordeaux (St Jean), but the seat does not show for Paris to Bordeaux.  I am getting the following message below “PARIS MONTPARNASSE 1 ET 2 (France)2h 7mTGV 8509TGV INOUIShow facilitiesSeat reservations requiredYou need to buy a seat reservation to board.Prices for this journey will start to be available 90 days before departure.

Canadian couple will be traveling Europe by train with first class Global Passes already purchased, mid-May to mid-June 2023. I’ve scoured the forums and picked up the info I can, but am still just a bit confused as to the best way to make the reservations. We are new to this.I’ve used the rail planner app for initial research on the routes we’ll require reservations on, but my understanding is that it isn’t always accurate as to schedules and isn’t ideal for making the reservations through. I’m posting my trip schedule (and reservations needed as I understand it) below and would appreciate feedback on whether it appears correct and the best way to make the reservations I have to.I do understand that I need to generate a pass cover on the Eurail site to make reservations. Can I use one cover for all reservations for both my wife and me? Also, where needed, are supplements purchased with reservations?ItineraryAmsterdam to Brussels May 16th - no reservations/supplement Bruges day trip -

I would like to book a day trip from Paris to Mont St Michel (leaving 7.32am, getting back to Paris at 10.16pm or thereabouts to have time to explore) but I’m not have any luck trying to do this using my eurail pass.  We (2 of us) can only do this on 9th, 10th or 11th of May, is it possible to book seat reservations, or are we too late and nothing available as I don’t seem to be able to make seat reservations.  I haven’t booked anything with my pass yet and this will be our first trip and I’m now wondering if the eural pass is going to be the best option for us.  Thanks in advance for any advice anyone can provide for us newbies.

I can't make a reservation on the app, it won't let me log in. If I try to get into the Eurail.com website, it keeps telling me bad request

London to York, i am planning to travel this line on a public holiday towards end of next month. Should i reserve a seat well in advance or would i be ok to arrange something within the week prior since there could be changes? I was looking at the LNR website and i don’t know what you would add for a booking reference since there no actual ticket being produced with pass, just QR code.

Hello, I wanted to take the Bus from Chambery to Bourg St. Maurice.. Do I need to buy a reservation? If yes, where can I buy it?

I bought my interrail pass (10 travel days within 2 months) but when I tried to reserve my first train journey I accidentally reserved it a month earlier than I meant to, when I won't even be travelling so won’t have activated my pass. Will this count as a travel day even if I don’t actually travel?

I am looking for a eurail special for 2023. There was one in March but I sadly missed it.

Hi all,  We are travelling from Milan to Lyon on 21st September and were planning on travelling via Trenitalia’s FR9296 Frecciarossa train using our Global Pass.  I have tried to book via the Eurasia website and have received the following message:PASS NOT VALIDYOU NEED TO BUY A FULL FARE TICKET TO BOARDCan anyone confirm that the Global Pass does not work on this trail. Gusto

Hello can someone pls help. Today I am using my interrail pass for first time and when I try to show ticket I am asked for a pin but I don't have a pin and didn't create one. What can I do? waiting at Munich Airport! Thanks.

Hello people! As my previous question insinuates, I am going on an interrail trip this summer. We start in Dublin, catching a flight to Madrid and ending in Paris. I have just one question for some people(Mostly Irish) about Carry on bag rules. So I have my flights booked that allows me to have a 10kg Carry On and a 20kg Checked bag if I want to, but obviously the horror stories of lost bags in Airports has set me off checking in my bag if I can avoid it as much as possible. So I have recently purchased a bag from Decathlon, it’s a Forclaz 50L Men’s trekking bag, link here: https://www.decathlon.ie/backpacks-41-liters-and-more/309807-72760-men-s-mountain-trekking-rucksack-trek-100-easyfit-50l-black.html#/demodelsize-254no_size/demodelcolor-8559690It’s dimensions are 58cm Height, 26cm Wide and 26cm of Depth. My question to people who have travelled Aer Lingus before with their carry on bags, do you think I’d get away with bringing that on and not checking it in? It is slightly taller tha

Does anyone know if eurrail’s reservation service charges more than if I were to reserve elsewhere (like at a train station or at another website?) On that note, what’s the cheapest way I can make seat reservations? Do I need to make reservations to travel on the golden pass scenic train from lucerne to interlaken in switzerland? What about travel from places like bern to paris, paris to brussels, and bruges to amsterdam?

Does one get reductions on buses between Seville and Faro with an interrail pass?

In the app, I set my first journey for 12 May. I was then able to find and buy reservations on the website, as long as they were on 12 May or later. If I searched for an earlier date, I got the “Your Pass isn’t valid on this date.”Then I decided to leave earlier, and added a journey leaving 27 April on the app. The “My Pass” screen confirmed that my pass now started on 27 April. But when I searched for reservations on 27 April, I was told again that my pass wasn’t valid on that date.So what gives? Does it take a while for the website to catch up to the app? Is there some other cause? Thanks!(Side note: I wanted to use the website because it often gave me the option of reserving a seat when the app didn’t.)

I want to travel from Meran to Mels. I could not find in the web pages of interrail whether the Vinschgau Bahn (Ferrovia della Val Venosta) is included or excluded in the Global Pass. Thanks for helping...

I'm travelling from London Euston next Wednesday on the 19.46 to Liverpool Lime Street. If I go straight to Liverpool I need a € 6 seat reservation. The journey takes 2h 21m. If I take the same train from Euston without a reservation I have to change at Crewe to wait for the next EXP train that gets to LLS at 23.17, a total of 3h 31m! If I bought a normal second class ticket with a senior rail card the seat reservation is free, or not necessary. But I've already got a Senior Interrail global pass, so why the cost? Just because it's quicker, even though I'm using the same train an hour later. Or shall I just risk it and pretend I caught the earlier train from London and waited at Crewe for this one... Any suggestions 🤔

I might be in trouble here…  Have planned outbound overnight from Inverness to London and then Eurostar London to Paris and beyond, then inbound back through Paris to London and overnight London to Inverness.  Having activated the pass and adding journeys to my pass it says I can’t make the final journey, I guess because my outbound one covers 2 days.  Is that right / any way out of this …. Already bought Cal Sleeper reservations?!  Thanks, John

The official in Santander FEVE railway station said that we can go into the train if we have Interrail pass, but How can we add a trip to our e-pass while the train we want to go with does not show in Planner of the e-pass? Do we need to add it or just go to the train?

Hi,I would like to take a sleeper train from Amsterdam to Zurich early May, but the eurrail site and OBB site both say that tickets are unavailable for the night jet. I’ve already selected Interrail/eurrail pass holder for the discount and one-way travel option, but all the night jet tickets are “unavailable”. Does this mean that all the night jets are booked full? What should I do?

Hello Community.  We are a family of 4 planning a European vacation this Summer, traveling by train between cities and countries.  We bought the Global Pass with Eurail and are trying to book an overnight train from Paris to Nice, leaving Paris July 1, 2023 and arriving in Nice the morning of July 2nd. The only option seems to have a stop over in Marseille from midnight to 6am.  We really would like to avoid sleeping in a train station.  What are we missing?  How can we find / book an overnight train from Paris to Nice? Thanks in advance for your support,Gabriel
