Solved

Hi, I want to visit some different places in Italy. Only i can find a few train stops via the routeplanner. For example, i want to go to Lucca and Assisi but the routeplanner won't give those citys as an option. How can I travel to those places, if the interrail planner won't let me add those to the route? Edit: I want to use the global pass with unlimited days to use the train

I am having a terrible time trying to contact customer service.  No telephone numbers or email address, no response on twitter or chat… :( I just booked interrail tickets for my family yesterday and chose mobile passes as I thought it would be easier and we don’t have much time for them to be posted, but didn’t realise that the passes can’t be moved from devices.  During the two months my husband and I will be travelling separately with our children at different points so we have a problem.  I need to see if I can switch to paper passes but we leave next week so it is now quite urgent, hence why I am getting frustrated at the inability to reach any sort of customer service.  Does anyone know an email address or telephone number that works?  Thank you!  And happy travels!

Hi, if I have booked an interail pass why do I have to pay more to book my seat in most of trains? Can I book only the journeys and don’t buy a pass?

Hi community! We plan to go to Switzerland and Italy next week. We have a 2month pass. I’ve read a lot of the comments in the forum and I would like to ask someone to look over my shoulder to see if I making any thinking errors.I get on the train in Germany and leave Germany on the same day. When the conductor comes I show him the Interrail app with QR code. My wife shows her own app. Correct? On every day I travel I add a trip. If I hop off the train, I can continue the same day and just add a new trip. Correct? If I make a trip in Italy, I add a trip in the Rail planner and I make a seat reservation in the ÖBB app. I pay the reservation with paypall. If the conductor comes, I show the Interrail app and then I open  the ÖBB app for the reservation. Correct? On our way back to Germany, I plan the night train from Innsbruck. It’s important to travel this last piece in Germany on one day. Correct? If I go to the Netherlands, I plan to go accross the border on my own costs ( I live only 10 mil

Hello,The interrail rules are saying that I only have to use one in- or outbound journey when I travel by night train. The date of departure is the evening when the night train departs. Does the in- or outbound journey still counts when I take, after the night train, other trains during the day of arrival by night train? For example: I leave on Saturday evening and arrive on Sunday morning by night train. On Sunday I travel further with other trains. Does those other trains still count as the inbound journey? Thank you for answering!Kristoff

I am looking at the map of eurail routes and need to know if there is a short route from Faro, Portugal to Sevilla, Spain. I don't see one on the map but these cities are so close! We want to visit both and in order to get to faro to Sevilla it would be a very long journey back to Lisbon, Madrid, and then Sevilla.Or we have to rent a car which would be fine but to rent a car in one country and leave it in another is very expensive. Does anyone have experience with traveling between these smaller cities? And what might be the best practice?

Hi! In mei wss.Maar ik zie op de website dat je maar één keer het land uit en in mag rijden. Hoe werkt dat in de praktijk?

Hello, we are a family of 5 hoping to travel from Venice to Rome on Saturday 5th August ideally in the morning. I can't seem to get any results. I know there is some work on the line to Rome in the summer but thought that just affected Night Trains.

Hi There,I am a Chinese and I work for a German company in China. However I have gotten the permenanent residence in Germany (Niederlassungerlaubnis). I will travel to Germany soon and am not sure which type of ticket should I choose? If I buy Eurail, do I need to show a visum as well? Thank you very much. Best RegardsGodfrey

Hello, I am trying to book the Night Jet sleeper cabin for my family of 4 on July 24th 2023 form Salzburg to Paris. Are they already sold out? I've tried a few different combinations but nothing allows me to purchase tickets.

we have purchased a 2 month global Eurail pass for Spain & Portugal, Our trip begins in Spain on June 1st 2023. All accommodation bookings have been made so we know exactly on what dates we’ll be traveling from city to city in Spain and Portugal .Our question is regarding seat reservations. We’re aware that seat reservations cannot be booked online for these countries & need to be made either at a ticket office or at the station. We arrive Madrid 1st June & wish to take train straight to Cordoba. Do we run any risk of not being able to make a seat reservation when we arrive in Spain? Because of time of year we’re concerned we won’t get on the train. Is there some way we can secure a booking before arriving in Madrid? We are currently in New Zealand and will be the UK from the 10th May.Any help much appreciated

HI, I won de discovereu pass and I am solo traveler. I’d like to fin myself some company. Is anyone visiting Prague, Vienna and Budapest during the dates mentiones above. Thanks

we cannot book a seat reservation for Spain.  Route Madrid-Valencia, Valencia-Barcelona.  What should we do?

My husband and I will be going to Munich arriving on March 7. This is the first time I have used the pass, and it is on my phone. If I had a paper ticket I think I could figure this out.My question is how do I get the QR code on my phone to show the conductor I have paid for the train  from the airport to downtown Munich HBF? There are many to choose from, and I don’t know which train we will need. I put two of the schedules  in the phone, but until we are there, I don’t know which one we will use. I can see there are next steps to do, IF you know which trip you will use, and then I assume the code will pop up.  When do I show them the proof we have a Eurail pass? I have our passport numbers in the phone app, so I think I have it all in order. I have other reservations for this trip that I could print a ticket, and it had a QR code. That part I am not worried about, it is this very first trip from the Munich airport.

I’m trying to book a reservation which it says it’s needed, but it’s also saying that it can’t be booked on their website. How can I get a reservation for a TER train?  All I see on the sncf site is a way to “Buy” tickets, but obviously I don’t want to do that.

We got the 5 days train pass, but there are some that are overnight. If a train leaves before 00:00 but has a stopover after 00:00 which we’ll have to switch trains, does that count as two days of travelling or just one? Thank you

I am travelling from Australia in mid April with my 11 year old autistic son. We are travelling for 16 weeks through 11 countries starting in France. We wish to do a number of train journeys within each country not really big cities. We are visiting France, Spain, Morocco, portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Austria, Germany, Denmark, Netherlands, UK and Malta in that order.I have used the Traineline App and costed out just the main country journeys which exceeds theGlobal Pass however I'm struggling to work out the reservation cost associated with each eurail pass to see which is the best option. Our country dates are fixed but we have flexibility within each country so want to know if we can also use a Global pass to travel from say Porto to Lisbon as an example.Sorry for long question but the challenges are great for this journey.Thank you

Hello,i want to travel from austria to France, Spain and Portugal this year. I am thinking about to buy the first class ticket.  Do I have to make a separate seat reservation for 1st class? When yes, is the price for seat reservations for 1st and 2nd class same?Kind Regards

Just activated my Benelux pass. I want to use it to travel from Amsterdam to Berlin.  Part of the trip is covered by my pass.  If I schedule my trip in the application, will the cost difference on the travel from the Netherlands border to Berlin be shown with an option to pay the difference, or cancel the trip?

Hello, there are not trains available from barcelona to valencia on the 26th of April. Its a major line and why is this  pls

I married a Romanian woman two years ago, and we live in Edinburgh. Unlike the English, Scotland voted against Brexit. Now we would like to visit several cities in the EU and are uncertain about the rules. As a Romanian national, my wife is free to travel using Interrail. I am not. It seems I have to use EU rail.My questions are: Can we take the same train together, given that we are a couple resident in the UK.? Or do the rules require we both travel by the non-EU members’ mode of travel, using Eurail? We would appreciate any advice we can get to clarify our situation.I am 67 years old. My partner is 58.Can you help?Jack FullerEmail:j.xxxxxxxxxgmail.com (removed by moderator due to privacy matters)(Edinburgh, Scotland, UK)

Hello:)I’m planning a trip for August/ September and U found on the interrail webside the ferry from Bari to Patras. On the app tho there is no sign of this connection? So how can I find and or book it?Thank you in advance:)

I have chosen my pass for travel in Europe starting June 6 2023 ( 10 days in 2 months ). I’m coming from Australia . I am still hesitant to buy the pass because I find all the responses I’m reading contradictory. My first train journey would be Paris to Zürich on June 10. Could someone please walk me through the process including how and when to activists my pass. I would also like to book a seat. I understand I do that on the train companies website and that it differs for each one. Thank you.
