I will be getting the TFW train from Holyhead to Cardiff in a couple of weeks on a 1st class Interrail.  This particular train is the only TFW one that has an actual dining car according to their website - “Our first-class dining service and food bar service is currently only available on our Premier Service between Cardiff and Holyhead.”I understand that GWR are a good bet for a dining car on trains to London.  It looks like their availability is limited this month - https://www.gwr.com/travelling-with-us/pullman-dining, but hopefully will be available when I plan on traveling.I think I heard somewhere that some UK carriers had dropped theirs in recent years, but I don’t know which ones still have them other than TFW and GWR.  Does anyone know what routes north out of London have dining cars, or even which operators still have them in general? Thanks,David[edit] I see the title and the post don’t match, but I can’t change the title unfortunately.

8 days in Italy visiting Venice & major cities btwn there & Naples-Looks like 8 day pass would be perfect. 1.  Does one simply show pass upon request aboard train or scan somewhere prior to each boarding? 2. Is reservation fee for each leg of trip or round trip?  Example: Bologna to Pisa back to Bologna3. Any suggestions for questions I wouldn't know to ask about using Eurail pass?  4. Best/easiest/cheapest site to book trips?

I’ve read in multiple places that Global pass holders can travel between Italy and Greece for free on Superfast ferries (plus the fuel charge). However, whenever I’ve tried to book a ticket, I’m only able to get the 30% discount when I click on the Eurail discount. Is there any way to purchase a ticket where I get the full discount/I’m only paying for the fuel charge?

How does it work to get 2 trains in the same day if we get the pass 15 days in 2 month. for example, we would like to start from Brescia on 31 of July at 22 and get to Salisbury at 6 am. If we leave on the same day to go to Vienna, is it included in the same ticket?

Hi, I've been traveling in Europe for about 2 weeks now with a 3 Months Eurail global mobile pass, everything worked fine until last night. I was trying to search for a journey in the rail plannner, but after entering the stations the app keeps getting stuck loading loading the schedule. I am thus currently unable to add any trips or obtain the ticket QR-code. I've tried the following: (a) Using the app both online and offline, both with and without location services enabled(b) force stop the app and clear the cache( c) restart the device(d) Searching for the train journeys under “stations" (this wont even attempt to load anything).  All of this produces the same error. My next step would be to clear the app data and/or reinstall the app, but as far as I understand this will remove the pass from the phone entirely. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? I would also have no problem adding my journeys manually, but I haven't found any way to do this without the schedule loading. I'v

Can anyone help?We have booked Eurostar tickets using the Interrail discount and now (long story) we need to change the date and go a week later.Everything I’ve read says it’s 15 euros per ticket to change and that should be 60euros for the 4 of us. It even says the same on the confirmation from when I bought the tickets.I’ve gone to exchange them online on the SNCF website I bought them from and it’s saying it’s 200 euros to exhange four tickets from London to Brussels. It would be cheaper to scrap them and start again!I’ve checked the train and the interrail pass holder seats are still showing at 30Euros each. Can anyone shed any light? I’m relucatant to call because that seems to cost extra?

Hello everyone, I am from Istanbul Turkey,  i want to start from turkey, I have a ticket that I bought on May 11, 2022. This is a 50% discount non-refundable ticket for Interrail's 50th anniversary. I have to activate it until April 11th. I need an urgent route. I will start with Turkey.

Hello!I am visiting Europe from Canada, and travelling from Dortmund, Germany all the way down to Interlaken, Switzerland. I then plan on travelling East to Austria, to Innsbruck, a small town called Kufstein, and Salzburg. I am asking for confirmation that the Eurail pass (15 travel days within 2 months), works in most major train stations in most cities. For example, the Netherlands uses the NS system to travel by train. Does the Eurail pass work here too? I just want to ensure I can travel city-to-city through multiple countries by using the Eurail pass, and not needing to use local train cards like the NS system. Thank you for your help!

Hello, I want to do a single back and return travel from Paris to Copenhagen in train but I do not know whether this is possible with Interrail Pass ticket? Do I have to pay extra for trains demanding to reserve in advance? Best regards, Tristan

Wife wants to travel by train from Paris to London on Thursday, 20th of April. I go to the Eurail and other site’s pages, a train schedule she wants is available. When I try to buy a ticket, it says it wants either a  Paper Pass number or some other type of information she does not have. What is the first step she must do to begin the process of buying a train ticket from Paris to London? Thank you in advance,Robert for Tania

When I search for a train station in the railplanner app to add a journey to my mobile pass, the search doesn't give me any results of trainstations I could add. I didn't do that at the beginning of my journey. And now I'm stuck and can't add any more journeys.Has anyone any ideas what I could do?I also have no results if I choose only one train station that is in the list of already searched stations to show me the connections from there. Please help me out! Thank you so much!

Hey, i purchased as many of us a ticket during the promo offer: a 2 months global pass with mobile pass. Now i have two questions, i found similar threads but I want to be really sure I get things right and dont mess anything up so my pass is not valid. I found similar threads but sometimes I didnt know if I got the answer right.. My pass is valid until 10th of April (activation period), so if I understand right, it doesnt mean I have to start my travel until 10th? I just have to activate it before, means i have to decide for a travel date, so i could also start for example End of April (unless i activated and chose the travel date before 10th April)? Its very important to know for me so I dont get things wrong, because I would ideally start a bit later in April if its possible. If i e.g. start my travel at 25th April and then i travel for 3 weeks. And then i come back to germany and end my first trip. Am I allowed to use the pass nevertheless later if I start not in my home country? As

My wife and I are trying to reserve seats for a train on Thursday 6th October, however when we add the reservation to the cart, it says the booking is for Friday 7th October.  We are booking from Australia. Which date should we select to make sure that we are on the train on Thursday 6th is October local time?

I will be traveling with my wife and two children this Summer.  What is the best way to handle tickets/passes?  I have the Rail Planner app on my phone and passes for each person.  It seems like I need to create one trip per pass? Also, is a “trip” one train ride or can the entire three week visit be a “trip”? Thank you.

Hi, just wondering how far in advance the trains are planned and how set in stone it is? For example, I’m looking at going from Interlaken at about 8am to Milan from 11am - 3pm and then off to Rome after that on the same day (about 4 hours on each train if you book in May), but it will not show this same thing when looking at the dates in late June and July. Sometimes it does not come up at all, other times it may say 13 hours? Does anyone know why this is? Will this route not be available if I travel in summer?

hi there, I have purchased the flexi 5 day global pass. My route is London - Paris - Lyon - Sion - Venice - FlorenceMy question is, although i got a global pass for visiting different countries, 2/5 trips will be inter country (Paris - Lyon & Venice - Florence) does this still take up my travel day?

Hello everyone!I´m planning an interrail trip with my sister in Norway right now and we have some questions regarding the trains. On the trip we would like to travel with the following trains, but we don´t know if they are included in the interrail pass, because they are also scenic routes: The trains are Jærbanen, Bergen railway, Dovrebanen and Nordlandsbanen. We can find the routes in the app, but it always says regional train, so we don´t know if they are those trains we wanna go with. Did anybody go with those trains and can tell us, if they are included in the pass? The support of interrail couldn´t really help us.I also have another questions. There are some train routes I can´t find in the app, but on the website of Norrtag. Since the interrail pass enables us to go with trains operated by Norrtag, I suppose we can go with any train of them, no matter if we can find it in interrail or not. Is that true? Thank you so much in advance!Best,Isabell 😊

HiI have a one contry pass for Austria. I would like to do Wien - Innsbruck but the train crosses Germany. It's the only route possible according to the app.Can I do this journey with my pass ?  Thanks for your help
