I have an unactivated pass whose last possible activation date was in November. I bought it in December 2024 under refund policy version 7, which provides for a 6 month period after last possible activation date to request a refund. I had purchased the Refund protection option which allows for a total refund except the cost of the option. Yet when I go to the respective order’s details page, the “Return your pass” button is not there, unlike for more recent passes that I bought on 17 December this year. How to request the refund?

I opened an account in my name. Then ordered two global plus passes for partner and I. we both downloaded the app and she loaded her pass using the code. We then planned a trip and made several reservations on trains while logged in as me on the website. These appeared on my app but not on hers. How do we get the reservation details to her phone? She does not have her own interrail account as yet. Should she just log in using my details?

Just about to plan an Eastern Europe trip for 2026  (before Putin takes it all !).Never used Interrail before so please excuse my lack of knowledge. Can I go direct from London (my home)  to Paris on Eurostar as my first travel or should I fly to Mainland europe and work from there ?Any suggestions ad/or tips for an Eastern Europe trip beginning and ending in London would be most welcome

Hello, I’m Miguel from Portugal, I’m planning an interrail in June till Sweden and I’m looking for advices.I want to know where are night trains that I can use and I’m open to receive suggestions from other people, like what kind of things do I need to carry with me and what kind of things you don’t recommend to carry with me.

Good morning everyone!, and merry Christmas! I would like to know if I can cancel my seat reservation and my Pass, and naturally if I can have back my money again, because I don't do the trip anymore. I have the trip for 02.01.2026  Thank you and happy holidays! ♡

How do I know which end of a train is first- vs second class?

I purchased a rail pass yesterday but never got the email so I can’t book any seat reservations. I’ve emailled support but they say 2 days before I can expect a response.I’m freaking out because some of the trains I need to book are already showing sold out in some time slots. Is there any way I can contact someone from the company?

Hey everyone,I bought the Interrail Global Pass for youth (4 days within 1 month) last year in August. The pass says: “Activate before 6 July 2025.”What exactly does this mean? Can I theoretically activate the pass on 6 July 2025, and then the 1-month validity period starts, during which I can use my 4 travel days? So that I would have time to travel until 5 August 2025?Or do I have to complete all my travels before or on 6 July 2025, meaning that this is the last possible day I can travel?I'd really appreciate any help, thanks in advance! 😊

Was just trying to enter my trip for tomorrow into the app, but encountered a bug in the app doing so. When planning from Basel Bad to Basel SBB I only get journeys by tram, even when I apply filters to switch off trams. It is, with some filtering, possible to get options by ICE from the planner but not the SBB S6. According to the SBB app it's running, but the app refuses to show it and only entering manually works for some reason.

HelloI will be travelling from Basel to Hamburg in the öbb nightjet on the 25th odlf december. I will be in a minicabin. Do i need to pack a sleeping bag? Also, do you have any idea qt what time they serve the included breakfast?I couldnt find these information anywhere :(Thank you!

I have a pass and have booked Eurostar reservations but the app will not allow me to reserve this trip. Seats are now available on SNCF but Eurail gives me a ‘bad gateway’ error message. Help!

Hi Has anyone had experience of booking an overnight couchette for 2 people in France? I have a pass but my sister doesn’t but we want to share the carriage.. I’m immuno compromised so can’t risk sharing .. can’t see how to do this!!  Thanks!

Hello everyone,My family (two adults and two children) would like to travel from Nuremberg to Brest, then on to Montpellier, and from there via Genoa to Rome, before returning to Nuremberg. We're considering first-class tickets if it would save us the cost of seat reservations.Furthermore, the Eurail website's planning software doesn't show any connections from Nuremberg to Brest. However, other websites do show connections. Do we have to plan our routes through the Eurail website, or does it not matter? And how does seat reservation work? Do we book directly with the travel provider?

We plan to travel round-trip from Amsterdam to Düsseldorf using a Eurail Global Pass. When we check the Rail Planner app, the travel time is shown as about 4 hours with transfers. However, on the official DB website, a direct train is shown with a travel time of about 2 hours. The results are very different.Since we are required to show the QR code in the Rail Planner app when boarding, we would like to ask:Are we allowed to take the direct train that does not appear in the Rail Planner app, or can we only use the trains shown in the app?Thank you very much for your assistance.Kind regards,

How can I get an Interrail Global Pass Adult for a certain month (July 2026)? Or isn’t that possible?

I will travel by train in Finland to either Helsinki or Turku. I will take a ferry to Stockholm and then on the next day continue by train to Copenhagen. Same on the way back. It’s unclear how outbound/inbound trains work. If I buy a 7-day pass, will two of those days count for the domestic journeys in Finland or not? So do I have only 5 days outside Finland to use?

Hello, I want to go from France to Sweden in one day. Its a long trip and i cant calculate to many time in between. Because I need to catch the Euronight to Stockholm in Hamburg. If i miss it i would need a new travel day, but i dont have any travel days left. So would my Interrail pass still be valid the next day of I miss the connection with the Night train in Hamburg? (Even if I am changing train company from DB to SJ)? Thanks for your help,Katharina

Good evening,Next Friday, 19th of december, I will take nightjet 420 (departure 20.46) from Innsbruck to Amsterdam.  I made a reservation via OEBB but I cannot find the train in the Rail Planner. In fact, I can not find this service on any day after december 14 at all. However, in the OEBB app and DB Navigator the train does exist. Is this because of the timetable change?Thank you :-)

HiI’m trying to make a seat reservation from  Paris to Tours or St Pierre Des Corps in April 2026. When going through the Eurail seat reservation system, every train from April 5th to 11th says “No price results were found. Pass holder reservations may be sold out for this connection, but there are other ways to check for available seats—more info below our timetable.” Surely not every seat for the whole week is booked out already? Or do they release seats  not until 2026 for April?Or is the system not working?Any answers welcome. ThanksJon

Hiwe just bought our first ever eurrail passes to go on a family adventure in June 26. Is there a guide to how to get set up?I’ve received the email confirming that we bought the passes, but I’m not sure if I need to do anything now about it? I’m slightly worried about activating the passes too early and then them running down. Is there a risk of doing that? Is there anything I need to do now? (I think we need to look at reserving seats in Feb - 4 months before travel. Is that right?)THanks!Ben

We have bought 4 Day Global Pass 25% discount. We are planning to travel in May 2026. Our understanding is we can activate it in next 11 month and once activated it is valid for a month. Is our understanding correct?
