Hi we are planning on visiting the Vatican from bologna. We saw that there is a station Roma s pierta that’s closer to Vatican City. Will the euro global pass cover the train from Roma termini to Roma s pierta or we will need to buy a subway ticket?

Hello, I'm trying to plan my journey fromw Sweden to Amsterdam, but the ICE train from Frankfurt to Amsterdam doesn't show in the railplanner app. But it is planned to go according to the NS. Can I still take this train with my interrail ticket?

There are still direct trains from Amsterdam to Frankfurt shown on the DB app, but on the Rail Planner app they only appear until December 13, and nothing shows up after that. The strange thing is that this route doesn’t even require reservations, yet on my travel date, February 14, not even the transfer options show up—only trains that require reservations.Because of this, I’m really unsure whether I should buy a Eurail Pass. I’m worried the trains might simply not appear later either. I don’t understand why this is happening. I was planning to get the pass for flexibility, but if the trains keep not showing up, it might be cheaper to just buy individual tickets instead.

I am planning a trip as a solo 60 year old in Jan 2026.1/24 - leave Chamonix early to travel to Interlocken OST. I want to take the Mont Blanc Express and golden pass express.1/25 - leave Interlocken for Montreux - Golden Pass Express preferred1/26 - Montreux to Gruyere and back by train1/27 - Leave Montreux  late morning to Paris, High speed train if availableWhat eurail pass should I get? Will I need to reserve a seat on Mont Blanc? Will I need to reserve a seat (first class) on Golden Pass? Will I need to reserve a seat on high speed Montreux to Paris? If I have Eurail, how do add those reservations? Any help appreciated.

I am trying to book a ticket back to Barcelona from Dusseldorf on December 26th. However, there are no trains from Dusseldorf to Paris available. How can I find available seats or an alternate route?

I’ve purchased an Interrail Monthly pass for my wife and I. She is German but a UK resident however, the pass says she is German resident. Does Interrail automatically mark you as a country’s resident just because of nationality? Or did I mistakenly mark her as German resident when I purchased. (The later seems unlikely but, I suppose, possible).

Ciao, mi date un mano a capire come prenotare una cuccetta da 4 (viaggiamo con due bambini) per questo treno? Dovrebbe essere gestino da CFR Romena ma non trovo come prenotare solo la cuccetta.Grazie mille!

I would like to find out what benefits we have on the S-Bahn with a Eurail pass?according to ChatGPT it is free to use the S-Bahn in Zurich for day trips without activating a pass day. This is also given in a pdf that comes from the website directly. How does it work. Do we show our Eurail pass without a travel date booked. Below is the exact words from the pdf we got."Switzerland for Eurail and Interrail Passes 2025Free ride in SWITZERLAND by following companies: SBB/CFF/FFS entire network."

Hi. Does anyone know if you can use the Interail pass (2 month) on the Madrid transit system and specifically the trains. Specifically I’m looking at the C2 and C7 services from Vicalvaro to Atacha.

Hello every body!we want to visit Roma and Napoli. WE start from Rennes in Britany, we are 4 and We have 9 days in total. How can we do? Wich ticket or pass should we book? Thanks a lot!!

Can one use the 6-day Greek island pass, which includes the possibility of a return trip from Italy to Greece (Ancona-Patras-Ancona), ‘in reverse’? In other words, imagine one is already on a Greek island and uses the first travel day to reach Piraeus, the second travel day for Patras-Ancona, the third travel day for Ancona-Patras, and the remaining days for travel within Greece. Is this allowed? Many thanks!

Good day. I am 60 yrs old. My wife is 62. Son is 20. Daughter 25. We are vacationing in Vienna in early June. We want to travel within Austria, take a 2 day trip to Venice(we want to travel there overnight) and hopefully day trips to Prague and Budapest. We’re new to this. What do you recommend as the most convenient vs least expensive trains. Thank you

Hello. My mom from the Philippines bought our Eurail passes. We will be travelling around Europe for the holidays. She put my residency as "Philippines". However, I have a Student Residency Permit here in Spain and reside here in the EU more than in the Philippines. • I hold a Philippine passport and a Philippine National ID which shows my home address in the Philippines.• But my Philippine passport only shows an expired Spanish Visa because I have only kept renewing my Student Residency Card in Spain. Will I encounter any problems since I have a Eurail Pass and not an Interrail? What's the best thing to do regarding my situation?

Hi, I live in Germany with a permanent residency but I am a non-EU citizen (of course with a valid non-EU passport). Can I choose to travel with Eurail pass instead of Interrail pass? I would really prefer to travel with Eurail pass as Germany’s central location and interrail pass’ inbound/outbound rule renders the interrail pass kinda useless if I want to say travel a few days to France and some days on the other side of Germany, to say Austria (unless I take some complicated route that doesn’t include journey’s in Germany). The language on eurail website creates a bit of a grey area (as it’s mentioned there that non-EU citizens who reside in the EU can ‘choose’ to buy an interrail pass). If I buy an eurail pass by providing the details of my non-EU passport, would it be fine or would I get into trouble? Has anybody been fined for such cases?  To be really honest, this inbound/outbound rule is very very inconvenient and frustrating, especially for people like me who live in central eu

I want to travel from Amsterdam to Munich using the Interrail Global Pass. I have 4 travel days in one month. I found a direct train on Deutsche Bahn (ICE 225), however, when I search this train in the Interrail planner I cannot find it. The part of the trip from the first border station in Germany (Oberhausen Hbf) to Munich is available in the app. I am a first time user of the interrail system, so maybe I misunderstand the system. The planner does show other (less favourable) options to travel the same day from Amsterdam to Munich. P.S. I have the same issue for the travels back from Munich to Amsterdam.

Hi,I have seat reservations with DB from Köln Hbf, 23.12.2025 08:49 to Utrecht Centraal, 23.12.2025 10:59. The train is ICE 220.When I search in the Eurail app this train journey does not show up. It does not let me select Köln Hbf as an option for the outgoing train station. When I try to add the trip manually, the dates and times seem to be getting messed up and it shows the journey as 26+ hours. I do not want to add this trip as I am worried that it will use 2 days of the Eurail pass instead of the 1 day as the journey is around 2 hours. Can someone please advise what would be the best option to do here?

Hello,I’m hoping to travel from London to Bologna (Italy) in autumn 2026.  I see there’s a 25% off sale on Interrail passes, but I don’t know if it would actually be cheaper to buy individual tickets.  Because the individual tickets for next autumn aren’t on sale yet, I can’t compare prices.I would be using only high-speed services (Eurostar, TGV, and Frecciarossa) and each of them has a reservation fee for each leg.  For Eurostar it will be 70 euros for the return trip, and I think the other two train companies might have a lower fee, but I can already see that the reservation will cost over 100 euros for the return trip.  I’m probably going via France, but I’m also considering going via Switzerland.I was going to do the journey this way:  Day 1:  London to Paris (Eurostar) then Paris to Chambéry (TGV).  Overnight stay in Chambéry.  Day 2:  Chambéry to Bologna (TGV and Frecciarossa).  I have insomnia so would prefer to stay overnight in an Airbnb rather than taking a sleeper train.  I

Dear all, My friend and I are travelling with Interrail in May 2026 and would like to reserve a sleeping car (two bunk beds) on the night train connecting Viena and Zurich, do u know where to insert the option of having an Interrail global pass on their website to proceed to make the reservation? Many thanks in advance! Diana.

Can I use my Eurail pass to travel from Paris to Fontainebleau?

I have ordered a Eurail Global Pass for 2 months/15 days flexi use. I am getting a printed version of the pass (not mobile), because I often tend to lose or break my phone while on trips. I prefer to keep the physical passes with me, not use the app.  My main question is, do I have to wait until I receive the passes in the mail to book seat reservations on trains? Is it true that to book seats using a Eurail Pass, we must input the Eurail Pass number somewhere in the seat reservation? What is the best website to book seat reservations using an Eurail Pass?Your answers, much appreciated.

Hi,Looking to buy my senior pass now while there's 25% off, but am not 60 until March next year - although plan to use it in the summer 2026.Is it possible to buy now? Im 59 at moment. Thanks

HiI am planning a surprise trip for my wife. I want to get from Bern to Bologne. The planner says this will take 5+hours and takes us via zurich.i beleive there is a high speed train that is direct. Hello - my first post here …..  I live in France and am thinking of buying the Senior 4-Day Global Pass under the current 25% discount.I will use it to travel as follows :One day will be : Paris to London and then London to ManchesterThen the return, also in one day : Manchester to London and London to ParisMy question is - can I do this or not? I will be on 2 trains in the UK twice on the same day - Lon/Mancs/Lon … but also the UK leg of the Eurostar each day ….I’m looking for a flexible ticket , that I can activate when needed anytime over the next year - this to be able to visit my elderly brother and spend a few days or up to a month with him as needed. The Interrail Global Pass seems to offer what I need - plus much more flexibility and a pleasanter journey than flying and a much better price.Thank you in advance for your adviceJulie

Hello everyone, I am actually traveling but my trip will soon end. I planned to come back from Berlin to Avignon with two different trains: One from Berlin to Strasbourg on the 18th of December. And the second is from Strasbourg to Avignon on the 19th of December. I went to a train station to book my seats because I saw somewhere you could include both trains in your pass. Even if one is from France to France. My problem is the train from Strasbourg to Avignon doesn't appeared on my pass. I kept a day free on my pass especially in case a controller says something. But what else can I do ? Thank you in advance for your precious advices !
