Solved

Hi, on interrail.eu there was a very helpful subpage (https://www.interrail.eu/de/plan-your-trip/trains-europe) where you could find a lot of information about reservation fees, how to book them and some general tips split up by country. Apparently this subpage has been removed recently? About two weeks ago it was still there but now it is nowhere to be found.  Does anyone know if the removed it completely or if they just moved it to somewhere else?

Can I book seats next to my wife with our separate interrail passes?

Hi there,12 days ago, I requested an exchange, but I did not get any respond yet, nor did I get refunded the money. I do not know how to get in contact with the service, so I decided to ask for help here. How long does it usually take till the money for an exchange is paid back? I don't want to look impatient. I just don't know how long it usually takes, so I don't know what time-range to expect before having the money back.Tanks in advance!

For the last 45 days I'm trying to book reservations for Narbonne - Barcelona on July 30th. But reservations are NEVER available. Now it says that the tickets are sold out, which seems odd, as they were never really available to buy.Is this correct? Or maybe reservations will be available some time later?Any help is welcome. Thanks!

Hello,I just moved to Netherlands and received my residency permit card. However, I am still not registered at the municipality and I want to buy the Global Pass. Do I buy the Interrail or Eurail pass?Thank you!

Just wanted to check again, no reservations are required? It says no on the app but I just like to double check. Thanks.

Me and my friend are planning to got on a trip in August. We have read that there are seat reservations required for some trains. We are wondering how early we have to make these. Is it enough to book the reservations 1 - 3 days before using the train or do they need to be booked a month in advance or something like that? Thanks for your help!

Hi,I am trying to book a ticket two weeks away in Norway, I live in the states. Whenever I try to book I get the message that my tickets would take to long to ship, and I need to provide a European address. When I provide the address off my hotel in Norway, it still gives me the same message. Is it possible to change the option to have my reservations emailed so I can print them myself? I hear of this option, but I cannot seem to locate it. Help!

Hello,my girlfriend and me want to make a trip to Avignon. I’m using an Interrail ticket, she just needs a ticket back to Hamburg, so she just book one normal ticket via the DB App. (She will travel to France two weeks before me with her parents and their car, thats why she just needs one ticket back)Now for the ICE from Karlsruhe to Hamburg she can choose a Seat and I will book the Seat next to her via the DB App. But how do we do that for the TGV from Avignon to Karlsruhe? We never traveled to France via train, so we have absolutely no idea, how we’re able to book two seats next to each other. There seems to be no Option to choose a seat in the TGV.Hope there is any way to make that work. Thanks for your Help!

Hi guys, I will be travelling with my girlfriend in July and August. We are currently planing our route and will be starting in Santiago de Compostela. We want to visit Vigo, Porto, Lisbon, Faro, Seville, Madrid and Barcelona. On the interrail app it says seat reservations are required for nearly all of them. How and where do I book the seat reservations?

What date is my inbound journey, when I use the Nighttrain Snalltaget from Malmö to Berlin on July, 2nd (departure in Malmön at 22:10 and arrival in Berlin at 08:58 next day) and I have to change the train in Berlin on July, 3rd, to come to my finally station (Bamberg)? The last station outside of Germany is Kopenhagen on July, 2nd at 23:06. Can I use the inbound journey for July, 3rd (its a 15 days in 2 months paper pass)?

I can’t reserve any seats on any trains to split in July, are they all gone ?

I’m trying to save a journey to my trip on the Eurail Planner app as I have a mobile pass but there’s one specific journey that it wont let me save. I want to save the trip from Penzance to Cheltenham Spa in the UK May 17th. It comes up when I search it but when I press save journey it says it saved but it doesn’t show up in my trip. I even tried entering the information manually and nothing shows up from that as well. It lets me save the journey on the 16th, but it wont let me save any journey to my account for the 17th of May. Was wondering if theres anything I can do to fix this glitch? Thanks and let me know!

Hi Everyone,I’m from Australia and new to the Eurail and Global Pass experience. I am about to set and purchase my Pass but there’s one thing that may make a difference to which one I get. With a Global Pass, are you able to make mutiple trips in One Country? I.E: I want to go to Manchester from London, then return to London the following day before I head off to Paris.Would that be covered with a Global Pass?

Hey, I want to take the nightjet from Rome Termini to Villach Hbf (first connection on the pic) on on Wednesday 25.05. at 20:17. The Railplanner App says I do not need reservations for that train, but usually you need reservations for all night trains. What do I do? Do I try to book who via the ÖBB webpage? Or do I not book and show them the screenshot showing that the app didn't ask me to book when they ask?

Dear member,Is it possible that I, user of a mobile interrail pass 5 days in 1 month,  can made a reservation and buy tickets for my friend without a interrail pass.Greetings,Herman

How do I edit a birthdate for a traveler?  How do I add a passport number for a traveler?

Hi - is it just me, or has the eurail ‘book reservations’ site been failing to load trains for several days now? I’ve tried in several browsers. I can enter the train stations, select my pass, but then it just gets stuck trying to load the available trains on that date? It previously worked fine (albeit with the various other glitches). Thanks

My train from Aulnoye-Aymeris to Paris Nord has been cancelled. I’m waiting for a train to Lille to Paris nord instead. 1 train from Lille straight to Paris nord requires a reservation, the 2nd has 3 change overs in between Lille and Paris nord. Is there any way that I can get the first train for free due to my original train being cancelled?

Hi, when I bought our passes, I was asked to select our home country as UK or Ireland...so I selected UK as we're in N. Ireland...now my home country on the passes is given as Great Britain which doesn't include N. Ireland...I now need to change my home country to Ireland as Interrail seems to treat the whole island as one home country...how do I make this change?Thnx

My rail pass shows that I've already used 1 of 4 travel days on my pass but I haven't booked anything yet.  While I originally set up my pass to start on May 22 I need to change that start date of my rail pass from May 22 to May 23 since I won't be traveling until then. I don't seem to have the rights to change the start date nor to delete the associated trip.

Hello. I’ve bought my first Interail pass for myself and my kids. Whilst I was aware there were going to be seat reservations to pay, I’m shocked at how expensive they are for myself and two kids. I’m also struggling with availability and starting to regret getting Interail passes at all. For example, I want to travel from Aix en Provence to Barcelona but whenever I search, although lots of trains come up it’s telling me none of them are available to book. Once, on my mobile app, it allowed me to click through to book them but I was shocked to learn it was 80 euros which included 10 euros postage (why when I have a mobile pass?) and 6 euros booking fee. Please can anyone help with regards to if this is all standard and if so i I might cancel my Interail all togas it’s too much hassle and cost, or am I just doing something wrong/not giving the whole process a chance? Many thanks

I have some questions after the flashsale. Definitely  I think I won't be the only one with such questions, so I will post them here in this community: I have the interrailapp. on my phone.  I bought the mobile pass with a 50% discount via “Treinrondreis” in NL.  That went excellent and correct. The next question is NOT about activation just before my first trip in a few months. A Does it have advantages and/or disadvantages to download the railpass already now some months before the first trip in the app?  (I know It can be removed again if necessary before activation). Or B downloading the railpass just before activation in the app after a few months? The next related question is about requesting the “passcovernumber” without haste, just to be sure: Can that A requested before downloading the railpass in the app.?  B After downloading the pass in the app.  but before activation?  Or C only after activation? There is so much knowledge here, so I hope for clear answers!

I made a plan with friends on a mobile phone, now I have changed to another mobile phone but the plan I made does not appear.Does anyone know how to transfer the plan from one mobile phone to another?

As for 4 days in a row all tickets from Toulouse to Spain (I tried Madrid, Barcelona, Girona, Pamplona) are sold out, I thought of trying local trains. I don't mind the change more often, besides it's a great way to meet locals and see more than just a fast blur by 250/h. But no, I can't find any connection. I tried Toulouse - Narbonne - Port-Bou, just over the border and from there to Barcelona. Nope, I have to back to Perpignan. I tried Toulouse - Orthez and then to Pamplona, but those are buses. I suppose the locals go by train too, don't they? I bet they don't take all a TGV, but just a train that stops at every tree. ;)Why don't these local trains show up?Anyone advice about how to get to Spain from Toulouse other than the TGV via Narbonne?
