Solved

So I’m travelling in a few days and am deciding what trains to get my the Interrail app. By the app, it says that none of these trains need a reservation. But when I get to the train station how do I know which train to get on and if my pass covers it?  On the app it says ICE 645, from Berlin Hbf- Brussels central with a couple of change overs. Will this be shown at the train station and how would I know which platform to get on etc. Also, when I need to get off for a change over how will I know to do this?  I know that people have said to check online as well as using the app but how do I know which train service I’m checking for? And for each country, how do I know this too.

I've been on the Eurail site and cannot figure out how to book seats for my clients traveling to Europe this summer. I added the Eurail pass, which they really don't want. But it seems necessary to book seats.  Is this correct? Also, it tells me to add Passenger info and I cannot figure out where or how. Is there a person I can speak with at Eurail please?

I (18 years old) want to go to Valencia with my mother, she said that the plane was easier but I want to travel with high-speed rail for many reasons (relaxed, better seats, no airport hussle, great views when traveling, less carbon emmissions, etc). Since the normal tickets are €800 for Amsterdam-Barcelona and Barcelona-Amsterdam I think interrail for 4 days is the best option. The planned dates are:june 23 Amsterdam-Paris and Paris-Barcelonajune 24 Barcelona-Valenciajune 27 Valencia-Barcelonajune 28 Barcelona-Paris and Paris-Amsterdam Now for the reservations, Im a bit confused.I think I can make reservations for Amsterdam-Paris and Paris-Barcelona (and return) with the reservation tool from Interrail but it also says somewhere that you need to do it up to 90 days in advance, its only 50 days until our trip. So can I still make reservations? And are they digital or paper?  Now for Barcelona-Valencia (and return) it seems that you can only get reservations at a trainstation in Spain. S

Hi! I’m in Split, Croatia at the moment. My plan is to get from here to Greece before taking a ferry to Italy. The problem is that I can’t find any reasonable (train)connections from Croatia and to Greece. Apparently there aren’t any international trains from/to Greece at the moment but I’m also having difficult time trying to find trains from Croatia to any other direction than north to Budapest and Ljubljana for example. So, how can I get from Croatia to Greece. It doesn’t have to be direct connection as I don’t have any spesific plans and am more than happy to visit other neighbouring countries as well! Thanks in advance!

Hi, I am trying to book an overnight seat reservation from Sighisoara, Romania to Budapest, Hungary on 2nd June, evening. Unfortunately, the only option I have is for a paper ticket which will be delivered to my home address after we have left the country!!!Is there anyway around this? The romanian train line website is down for me :( Thanks,

We purchased our mobile passes last night with plans to travel from Barcelona to Pisa this morning. When we put our passes into the app, we receive a “something went wrong” message. We have extended our hotel stay in Barcelona by one day to hopefully get it ironed out. But we urgently need help!

From what I understand, pretty much every train operated by Renfe requires a reservation with the exception of REGIONAL trains like the commuter lines around major cities. However, I noticed that there are some long distance lines that are REG EXP trains. Would these be the same as REGIONAL trains in that they don’t require a reservation? Example:18214 REG.EXP. From Leon to Palencia18105 REG.EXP. From Palencia to Santander The Eurail website doesn’t mention these types of trains, only that AVE/ALVIA/AVANT/MD require reservations.

Hi, i bought at 15 April an interrail pass for 10 days within 2 months and i used accidentally the 2 inbound and outbound days in a trip i did and now i am not able to use the other 4 days left. The app tells me that there is no outbound/inbound journeys left and i can not use my other days and that i need to buy a separate ticket in order to make this journey. The question is; i have paid for the interrail pass and i don’t want to pay any more money since i have already paid for that. Is there any solution to my problem? Thanks in advance!

We ordered 2 mobile passes, but cannot log in to reserve seats. It asks for a password reset which we both did but never received an email to reset it. I requested this 5 times. I then tried logging in with FB, it says my name on the top but says I have no active orders. I cannot even cancel because I cannot log in. No phone number to call. Sent an email, to be told I will receive an answer in 48 hours. That was 2 weeks ago. We are beyond frustrated, spending a total of 6 hours going round in circles on the website. I am disgusted with the lack of response. I want a full refund as we cannot use the passes without reserving seats and I cannot log in to do this. Where do I go from here? We are nearly 60 years old, my partner has a broken back but we cannot reserve any seats. I desperately need to resolve this and get my money back. Does anyone even read these messages?

I may have left it too late to book Eurostar  reservations for early June returning from Paris to London: the reservations page says 'no information'.  Is it possible to buy last minute reservations at the station in Paris, maybe as a result of passenger cancellations?

I’m starting my trip the day after tomorrow, but the support are not replying anymore on my problem. I had a broken device, bought another one but it keeps saying it is connected at another device. They disconnected twice already, and now I don’t receive any answers anymore. What can I do! Can I call interrail? thank you

Hey guys, I would like to know if it´s possible to use a night train at the first day to get out of my own country. The problem is, that the train is still inside of my country at 00:01 next day. So I spend one day without going out of my country, which should be disallowed by the rules of Interrail. Otherwise, I saw that night train trips cost only one day (the day of departure), so it should be allowed. Maybe someone can help me to remove my confusion. :D

Hello, as the booking for the high speed trains was hell, i am thinking of taking the regional trains back however i somehow cant find the connections. Isnt there a train through the Pyrenees which doesnt need reservation? Best Anne

Hi Interrailers! I have a question about two seat reservations between Lyon-Barcelona and Barcelona-Valencia  - I can see that other travellers had similar problems with seat reservations on these routes.I called RENFE (Spanish Train Operator) and they told me that it is not possible to make seat reservations for these trains online (wtf) and that you HAVE to reserve seats at a physical train station. That is problematic because I have a 6 hour train ride beforehand from Zürich to Lyon, and it would be stupid to show up in Lyon if the train is fully booked - and again stupid to show up in Barcelona later that day if that is fully booked(:      Do you know a way around to reserve online? Or do you know if I can reserve seats from an Austrian train station? Or if my friend in Spain can make the seat reservation for me and then send me the reservation with email?Stay safe! Allan

I want to book a paper ticket from Valence TGV to Barcelona on 21st of August. If I want to try it, I receive a notification that the ticket will not arrive in time and that I have to go to an European train station. I went to Amsterdam Centraal and they said at the international office that they do not sell tickets from France to Spain. I've added the notification in Dutch below. How can I still make the reservation for this trip? Interesting to note is that I ordered another paper ticket and I received this within a week. So if this is the average speed of the delivery of the paper tickets, my ticket would still be arriving in time before I will leave… However, the website does not allow me to take the risk and order the paper ticket anyway.

Trying to find a way to book my seat on the highspeed train from Barcelona Sants to paris on Saturday 7th May but having no luck? says book at the station but we will not be there until the day of travel? Any guidance welcome!

We’re very keen to use rail, not air, to get to Croatia from the UK this August after two years of pause … but have no idea whether a Eurail pass is the best way to do that.  Is it?

Hi! Me and some friends are planning a trip this summer and everything is going fine but one detail. We’re trying to book seat reservations for a train between Prague and Warsaw on June 19th but can’t because “prices unavailable”. Does anyone know why we can’t book it? Is it already fully booked? Do we have to wait til 30days before departure?Any help is greatly appreciated!Sincerely, Kalle

I booked a Global Interail pass for myself and another for my child to go from Paris to the south of Spain and return. I had done many simulations and saw that the return journey from the country of departure to the country of destination was included in the pass. But as soon as I want to book to go from Paris to Barcelona, I am asked to pay 34 euros per passenger ( or 68 euros extra. Please confirm if the first Paris-Barcelona ticket is included or not.

hi me and my friends are planning a trip around in Italy, i have a question about the night trains. if we for example order a pas that says 5 days within a month, and I take a train at 13:18 and arrive 14:00 the next day dose that count for 2 travel days?  dose a night train cost 2 travel days?

Hello everyone,I've bought an Interrail Global Pass for 3 July - 10 July. I want to travel from Amsterdam to Prague and later from Prague to Munich, and from Munich back to Amsterdam. However, there is one thing i don't understand. The website of the Deutsche Bahn says a reservation is required for every high speed rail as well as night trains. The travel plan of the Interrail website tells me i do not need to book a reservation, but that it is possible to do so.However, i cannot add any train journey to the cart. The ‘add to cart’ button is not clickable: Am i too late for booking? I have not received my pass yet, but i will get it within two weeks. Thank you in advance, Kind regards

So I know how the inbound and outbound days work this is just a question about the rules. My question is does the return day have to end in my hometown.Say I live in Southampton  UK (I don't) would it be possible to end my trip somewhere else in the UK which is not where I live as long as it keeps within the rules and in the outbound) inbound days. For example on the last day I go from Paris to Manchester instead of Paris to Southampton. Or do you have to go to your town of residence

We have bought an Interrail pass to move between Spain and Portugal this summer. We took the mobile pass option. We went to the train station to buy the seat reservation necessary for high speed train in Spain. They have advised in addition to the ticket, we must have the trip registered in the app. But some trains do not appear in the app… can we add them manually? Another option: can we get a paper pass if we already got the mobile pass? thank you!

hallo, ik kan niet alles vinden via de rail planner app en voeg dan handmatig in. Moet je elke tussenstop (overstap) en exacte tijden in de app aangeven of gaat het alleen om de datum + begin- en eindstation?alvast dank,Anne

While booking train reservations for my Global Pass, the ‘continue to traveler details’ button does not work at all, even after I filled in all the information required. I think the button is broken. Can anyone help? This is a Milan Centrale - Venezia S. Lucia journey.
