Hi, i have problem reserving a bed on the nighttrain from Budapest to Bucharest. Anyone same problem and a tip? Should i reserve in the train?

Is the train leg from visp to Zermatt covered on a global pass??

In using trip planner, I am trying to figure out how to break up my trip a bit.  For example, I am arriving in London at one train station and leaving London from a different London station, and it is trying to plan a route from one station to the other (and I am not planning to use a train from one station to another).  I am also breaking up the train travel with one flight from Paris to Milan, and the trip planner is arranging a train route for me from Paris to MIlan.  Is there a way to not have that planned?  Or do I just not make reservations for the stretch it is planning for me in these two situations?  Do I plan separate trip?  I might be overthinking this since I have not purchased yet and don’t know what happens when you commit to a purchase.  Does it try to commit you to the trip you plan or do you scheudle as you want?

Hello everybody!I purchased an interrail global pass for one month with 4 travel days. After travelling from my country of residency, Switzerland, to Italy and getting back, the pass shows that I have used 2 out of 4 travel days, but also that 0/3 inbound/outbound days are used. So here I am a little bit confused: first, why do I have three inbound/outbound days instead of two? And second, how is it possible that the app registered the two travel days correctly, but does not mark the in- and outbound trips as well? And what does this mean for the 2 travel days I have left? Can I travel in and out of Switzerland again? Thanks in advance for your help!Best,Gianna

Hello people. We’ve got a European grand tour trip booked, coming up on the second weekend of September . We’ve got 2 passes paid for, but not yet activated. With the 20% off passes discount available this week, I think i could cancel the originals, buy the same on the deal with interail and then even with the penalties associated, be €120 up. I don’t want to be tight, but that’s a couple of nights in a hostel, or a nice dinner somewhere. Am I mad? travelling 7th.I have no wish to jepordise our travel plans. eurostar/sleeper train reservations are in place, but i can’t see that they are at all tied to (as yet unactivated) passes?

Hey, my friend and I are currently in Sofia. In two days we want to take the train to Bucharest. In Bulgaria you cannot book any seat reservations online. We went to the central rail station to book the reservations in advance as we leave very early in the morning. There, most people at the ticket desks could not speak any english or were overwhelmed by our questions about seat reservations. The digital ticket machine was not working. Did anyone else have this problem already and can help us with ideas on how to book the reservations?Thank you :)

Because our train to the destination where we had to take our last train was way to late we missed our last train to Madrid. As a result we needed to purchase new tickets in order to get to Madrid on the same day which cost us per person about 50€, although we have an Interrail Pass but the seats reserved for Interrail People were already booked out. How can we get our money back?Thank you so much in advance!!

I have used up a pass activated on 20 August which expires on 19 September.  I find I can’t make reservations on my new pass because any reservations I make go to the old pass!  Does anyone know how to delete the old pass or to connect reservations to the new pass or have any idea what I’m doing wrong?

Hey all,Does any of you ever did the Grand Train Tour in Switzerland?Curious about what not to miss on this journey and how you experienced it.I will be doing this one in a few weeks and i will try to visit all the stamp locations within 4 days.

I have noticed that there aren't trains between Klatovy - Sušice  and noticed that with Sušice there aren't any connections i asume this is some info that is not added to the app? Because on the Czech site those stations do have a connection and Sušice has connections to other places too so I asume i just need to add them manuál?

I unfortunately made a mistake planning my trip. I started my plan on friday within Germany. Since I didn’t realize I can‘t just travel within my home country I had to use the outbound-trip (without actually leaving the country). Now I want to actually leave Germany tomorrow and am afraid that the pass won’t work because I only have the inbound ticket left, but the journey is outbound… does it matter?

So - largely thanks to the community I enjoyed three weeks travelling with my five day pass, which of course has now been used up.The question now is how do I plan the next trip? Do I delete the app from my phone, start from scratch and buy the next 5 day trip with a new Passnumber etc in order to activate the pass? Basically the same procedure as when I first got the app and activated the pass.Or if I’m logged in, will the site will recognise that I already have the app with its Passnumber staying the same and I just need to buy and add another 5 day trip to it?  As ever, thanks in advance for your help

My wife and I have the 1st class Global-15-days-in-2-months pass on mobile app and are using a travel day to go from Vienna to Bozen, so its quite a long ride at 6.5hrs.  I got seat reservations thrrough Eurail, and OBB came back with separate seats!  This is quite annoying and not how we wanted to start out a 2 month trip, with riding separately through the alps!!!I checked the OBB site and for the exact trip we selected in the Eurail app there are other seats together in 1st class, I just grabbed them for €3/each from OBB.  Eurail doesn't seem to want to refund me.  Not only that, but getting the reservation through Eurail costs over 3x than getting them directly from OBB, and that 3x premium means we cannot be guaranteed to ride together?Anyhow, am I going to have to fight this for all 15 of my travel days in this 2 month pass???  How about on the Freccerossia?  Or is it just possible to tell Eurail to create a travel day and give me a barcode I can give to the train inspectors, and

Hello travellers ;)I currently have a general season ticket for my country (Switzerland) (AG/GA) which I renew every month. I have just signed up for a 10-day/2-month Global Travel Pass. So, I have more or less complete coverage of the train networks in my country and neighbouring countries. I have read some unclear and frankly laborious explanations here regarding this kind of ‘problem’, which sometimes advise buying a ticket for the journey between two ‘border’ stations. Huh?But if, for example, with the ‘EC 97’ train from Zurich to Munich, the two border stations are:ST. MARGRETHEN SG (Swiss station)Bregenz Bahnhof (Austrian station)So...I tried buying a ticket between these two stations with OBB, indicating that I am- retired (well, yes, everyone gets older ;) )- I have a General Abonnement (Swiss AG/GA) (1st class)- I have an Interrail Global Pass (1st class) Well, guess what... their system tells me that there are no tickets available because... I already have season tickets coveri

I am planning to visit Austria, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Hungary in September with a 7-day Eurail Pass. I'm planning to take a train from Budapest-Kelenfold to Wien Hbf with a Eurail Pass.On the Eurail website, it says that a seat reservation is required, but when I checked on the EuroCity website, it shows that reservations are not necessary and I wasn't able to book a seat there. On the Eurail site, I can still make a reservation. Should I book a seat in advance, or is it fine to travel withoutone？

I am planning to visit Austria, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Hungary in September with a 7-day Eurail Pass. When I tried to book a seat reservation for the train from Prague to Budapest, the website displayed the message:"Not available from Interrail.eu. This seat reservation can't be booked on our website.Check 'More information' for other ways to book."Could you please advise me on how I can make this seat reservation?

Hello,I was checking for seat reservations from Innsbruck to Bolzano on the OBB website. Do I need to check the box I only want seat reservation? If I check the Box, it shows 3 euros and if not the ticket shows 13 euros. Thanks

I am indian citizen, currrently living in netherlands for 6months (Onsite visit)& i have netherlands resident permit card for validity till December 2025.Am i eligible for Interrail youth travel pass?, as i wish to travel across europe over weekends.

I’m a Canadian, taking a long train ride through Europe to Greece. I’m going there on the eastern route through the Balkans, and back through Italy. I reserved a sleeper on the Dacia Express from Vienna to Bucharest on Oct 18. It gets me to Bucharest on Oct 19 afternoon,  I hotel overnight, and the next day Oct 20 I travel to Sofia. Again I overnight in a hotel. The next day Oct 21I would normally take a 5 hour bus to Thessaloniki. But Oct 21-23 there is no 5hr bus, only a 13 hour milk run to Thessaloniki. My question is, is it possible to change the reservation to one day earlier. It’s a paper reservation, mailed to me in Canada, which I haven’t even received yet.It being off season, would they perhaps let me go a day earlier if I arrived a day earlier?

So I would like to travel in the Balkans But it look like in Bosnia trains and it’s tough if you go down the coast of Croatia is there somebody that have a good travel map when you travel this places to know with the train

Hi everyone, I want to travel from Paris to Mannheim with my Interrail Pass, and they say on my trip that it is needed to book a seat (started from 21 euros). The only thing i see is on the deutsche bahn website, where i can book a seat for only 5,5 euros. Is it the one i should book or should i see on another website?  Thank you

I can’t add more than one trip to my pass. The trips are on different days. Help !

Is there a direct train from Munich to Prague?
