Solved

Hi together,I want to buy a global-pass for my daughter as an gift for her 18´th birthday. If I wont to buy this ticket via the homepage, I have to open an account. Does anybody know, if this account I have to open for purchase has to be the same account my daughter has to use later for traveling? or can I open an account with my email-address just for this purchase and transfer the ticket later somehow to her? The background ist, that I don´t want, that my daughter know about the ticket in advance. But if I have to use her mail-address, she will knows it directly.I ask at the ticket counter in my city, but they don´t know.I also would by a paper-ticket. But therefore I read, I have to enter a first date of traveling, wich I don´t know right now. Is this true? And is it possible to enter or change this paper -ticket into a mobile-ticket later?Question over questions - hopefully somebody of you knows something about. :-)Thank you!Yvonne

I have bought a German Rail Pass for me and my boyfriend, because I found it is also valid for ICE-trains between Brussels and Köln (source: it says in the conditions “"The German Rail Pass is valid on the following direct routes: Cologne (Köln Hbf) - Brussels (Bruxelles-Midi) Cologne (Köln Hbf) - Liège (Liège-Guillemins)" and I found also confirmation here  German Interrail pass : Liège (Belgium) to Cologne (Köln, Germany) | Community (eurail.com) ).But now I tried to reserve us seats for this train, and it says “Your Pass or the Pass of a travel companion is not valid for this connection.”How can this be solved? Thank you!

Dear community, I have another question regarding my Interrail tour. I am travelling from Barcelona to Madrid with a train at 8 p.m. I was able to make a seat reservation for this train via Deutsche Bahn. However, when I tried to find this train connection in the Interrail app, it didn’t show up. What could be the reason for this? And will I have any problems if I travel with this train without that it’s listed in my app? (I have the seat reservation as a printed ticket though). Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi everyone!  New Eurail couple here and we are super confused about the seat “Reservation” required on most of our selected trains in our trip for MAY 2022….either the Eurail app says to do it “at station” and on countries’ train website it says “reservation impossible”also, the Eurail and countries train websites times, are often different …..Am I reading too much into this or is this difficult to get in sync? Are long night-train cabins worth it and how long before a trip can those be reserved?

I just bought an Interrail Global Pass for use in Sweden this summer. To activate the pass in the Rail Planner app I need to enter my passport or ID number. Can I use my drivers license number instead of passport number? I don’t have a national ID card (These are not issued in Denmark)Citizen from the Nordic countries are allowed to travel within these countries without having a passport. But we need to have some other kind of picture ID (like a drivers license).I don’t want to bring my passport if it is’t nessesary. The reason is that I will go on a hiking trip and don’t want to risk my passport gets wet or otherwise damaged. A drives license (plastic card) is more durable. Palle Dam, Denmark

Hey guys, I’ve booked two Interrail passes through Interrail EU website. I’m not able to find the dates anywhere for when our tickets is available. Do you guys probably know how to find out when the tickets is available from? Much appreciated!Best regards, Simon

Hello :)I have the Mobile Global Pass for four days.I live in Göttingen, Germany and my first destination is Venice.I want to take a Nightrain on 27.March.22 departure Göttingen: 07.02 PMi need to change trains in Munich at 11 PM.I only have 20 minutes to change trains. can I take an earlier ICE train to make sure I don’t miss the Night-train (NJ40463?And also: This only counts as one travel day right? Because the night-train departs before midnight and I don’t have to change trains before I arrive in Venice.Which one of these two trains do I have to put as that outbound journey? I don’t really understand it the outbound journey thing.. because I read, that you only have one outbound and one inbound journey. Am I even allowed to use the train in Göttingen to get to Munich? lots of questions.. I know 😅but thanks in advance

Hello,Im all new here and just found out that it is better to buy the route (Offenburg to Kehl Grenze or Krimmeri-Meinau) because its not allowed take two trains in the country of residence. I am now on the second travel day (night train) but still hours away from the journey. I wanted to cancel  the inbound/outbound but I cant because it is linked to the day and not the route. Why? Thanks a lot for your answer.Kind regards

Hello, I'd like to ask whether the European railway pass in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the cross-border trains in Montenegro, Kosovo, Serbia, northern Macedonia, Albania, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania can't be booked. I can't find it on the app. Then I see that the European railway pass has four free rides on the Greek islands and two Italian round trips to Greece, but there is no one when I click the preferential option for four domestic round trips, However, there are round-trip tickets in Italy, as well as European railway tickets. Many of them are operated by railway, but they will appear when scheduled/

Hi! I’m planning a trip through Europe. I want to take a train from Berlin to Copenhagen, with a change in Hamburg at 23:56. If the previous train is not in time and I have to take the next train on the next day, does it count as 2 days of travel, or the travel day refers at the scheduled time?

Hello everyone! I will be traveling to Switzerland and Italy and was checking to see if 1 multiple days Eurail pass suffice for all travel within Switzerland. I plan to go from Zurich to Rome, to Florence and then Venice. Not sure if global pass will cover all the trains. Thank you in advance for your guidance!

Hello I'm trying to reserve our seat from Berlin to Amsterdam on May 25, 2022 around 10:38 AM either direct or 1 change over. However, the reservation site states I have to find another connection??? Is it too early to reserve train seats right now? Thanks for looking!

Can we take return trains in one day?Ex: Morning go to Venice from Florence and get back to Florence in the evening?

Dear community,my partner and I would like to travel with Interrail, but we have different nationalities (French and German, respectively). For this reason, I would like to understand better what 'travelling in your home country' means so we can plan our route.Suppose we take a train from, say, Gèneve (Switzerland) to Barcelona (Spain). This is doable in a single day, with at least one change of trains in e.g. Lyon (France).1) Does this count as 'travelling in my home country', or is transit permissible?2) If it does, does it count as an inbound AND an outbound journey?3) (Assuming it does count) If there was a direct train instead, would this count, too?It would be great if someone could help clarify this.

Hello, I want to go from Germany to Italy, do I need the Global Pass, because I either drive through Austria or Switzerland, or can I only buy a One Country Pass?

Hello,I have a 2nd class Interrail pass and was wondering how I would go along with reserving a 1st class ticket on the Glacier Express. On their website the reservations is the same price as the 2nd class reservation (CHF49).

hi, i would need help for my onward connection to final destination (Munich).  My initially booked reservation from London 1104am to Midi Brussels 205pm (Eurostar ES9126) Midi Brussels 225pm to Cologne 405pm (ICE17) - booked via DB Cologne to Dusseldorf (RE26879) Dusseldorf 1127pm to Munich 24th Mar 603am (ICE 619)  - booked via DBHowever, now that i missed my train and got rebook onto next train leaving London at 304pm and arriving Midi Brussles at 605pm. Is there a possibility that i can be taking the trains shown in the photo without having to pay for any extra fees? Also this would mean that my reservation fee for ICE17 will be wasted ? Lastly, any tips on how early should i be arriving at the train station for trains in Germany & Paris ?

I realize the the train ticket (bar code) only appears on my phone. Question, can I plan my trips on my tablet then load the planned trip on my phone to get train ticket (bar code)

I need to cross my country in one day: brussel-to-amsterdam-to-dusserdorff. This is counted one day or two day?Can I use two outbound day instead of one inbound and one outbound ?

Hi there,I´m planning a multistop trip from Spain to Germany. I´ve already bought a Pass, and could make all reservations except for one, from Hendaye to Paris with a TGV. For that connection I find: “ No price results were found for this connection. Please try searching again or find an alternative way to book”. The problem is, I cannot find any other alternative way to book the reservation, at least not a reasonable. I called today to SNCF, and they explicitely told me, it is not possible to buy seat reservations online, and also not at the phone. They said I must come to a french train station… which I can´t really believe…I won´t be in france until exactly the day of beginning my journey, and the missing seat reservation is for the first train I would need…. so it would be really risky to wait until minutes before departure to go in person to the service at the station and ask for buying the seat reservation. That is really risky. If that doesn´t work, I lost the following connecti

Hi!I would like to know the difference between these two global pass : 15 days within 2 months, and 15 days. If I’m only travelling for 3 weeks but need 15 days of travelling, what should i buy ? Thank you!!!
