Hi there, I'm travelling around Europe for the first time using the Global pass for two months. I'm starting from Portugal then to Spain, France, and then Italy and possibly to Croatia. I'm having a problem reserving seats through the app. It says that for some countries reservation is only allowed at the station ie can't do it in advance online. Wondering if people found it relatively easy reserving at train stations or what the process was like? I've read that Spain can be tricky but there seems to be no other option to reserve in advance. I have alot of places that I'm going to visit around Spain so would be great to get some more clarity! Many Thanks :)

Hello Guys,me and 3 friends want to visit France in May. Therefore we have bought an interrail ticket. We want to travel from Dresden main station (Germany) to Nantes main station (France) on the 12th of May with a departure  at 8:12. The seat reservation from Paris to Nantes is no problem but the reservation from Frankfurt main station / Karlsruhe main station is not possible. We tried booking it in the rail planner app and via the website but it doesn't work. We have read in this forum thread https://community.eurail.com/train-connections-reservations-47/seat-reservation-at-sncf-1145 that we potentially need a pass cover number. The question is: Do we need this number to book this route or are there any other problems. And additionally: If we need this number to book this route can you explain how it is done? Thanks in advance for your help.Sunny greetings from GermanyWeWi

Hi, I was trying to book a reservation for the train from London to Aberdeen, but it didn't work. It said that that's online possible if you book it directly at a train Station in the UK. I'm afraid though that there won't be any reservations left if I only book it once I arrived in the UK. Is there any other way to book it beforehand?  Thank you!

I want to travel from Paris St Lazare to Bayeux on June 6 and return from Bayeux to St Lazare on June 8.  Reservations are required for these trains.  I have been successful in making reservations on all my other trains on the Eurail phone app, but for every train between Paris and Bayeux on these dates I receive the message, “No price results were found for this connection.  It is possible that the train is fully booked for pass holders.”  Amazingly, this same response is given for every Paris-Bayeux train, as many as 13 per day, on each of several dates; I can’t imagine that every single seat on dozens of trains is booked, so I suspect a systemic problem.  Has anyone discovered an end-run around this problem, including not making a reservation at all?  I know I can take slower regional trains on other dates, but this would greatly mess up my schedule.  Please advise.

Hii! I was wondering if i can ask a question, i want to buy an interrail card for 7 days and leave on the 21 of march, is the card then available till the 21 of april? And also if i leave at 12 in the afternoon and i arrive at 8 the next day with a switch in trains, does it count as 2 seperate travel days? Thanks in advance!

Hi, I’m trying to book a reservation for me and my friend travelling from Paris Nord to Brussels Ziud. I have the two of our passes on my account so we can book reservations to be seated beside one another but it won’t give me an option to select both for this trip. I’ve tried to click both but it’s only allowing “1 traveller”. Is there a way to pay for the 2 seat reservations at once? any help greatly appreciated!

Hello! Does anyone know if I can add and use a Journey to my Pass the same day ir departs and use ir correctly?Fo example, in saturday, can I add the first Journey of my pass and use it the same day? Thanks.

Hello,I purchased passes for the family as we were planning on using them at the end of December of this year. COVID restriction forced us to delay our plans. One of my children was 11 years old at the time of our original plans. He has since turned 12 years old and will need a Youth pass.My question is, do I exchange his free child pass for a youth pass and pay the fee, or just purchase a new pass altogether and just let the child ticket expire? Thanks for your help!

I have just bought two passes (Greek Islands Pass), and in my confirmation from Interrail it says, that it will arrive in the end of the month (29 march). I contacted the Atticka Group on email to book ferries, but they told me that I needed my island pass cover number - but I haven't got one yet. Do I get this number at the end of the month, when my passes arrives or is it possible to get it beforehand, so I can book the ferries now?

Hi, I am trying to book a travel from Copenhagen to Madrid online. I can mark which departures I want to purchase, but they don't enter the shopping cart. So then i can't buy them. Does any of you know what I am doing wrong?Best regards!

Hello! Hope its okay that I'm getting in contact here. But no other helpline seems to be responsive or available. I have bought a global mobile pass. ON:IN30408834My train on the interrail reservation service seems to be unavailable. However its available through direct booking if you have a paper pass. I am leaving on Monday 14th at 15;00.Is it possible to exchange my mobile pass for a paper pass before then or will I need to buy these tickets at the gate - I was told this is a risky game. But I definitely need that specific train and can't rebook to somthing more expensive with more changes. I hope you are able to help. Many thanks

Hello, I have a couple of questions about passes that I can’t find the answer to on the website. Is it cheaper to get a Senior's rate for two people with the 10 day global pass, first class, or to purchase the Eurail Global Pass Saver Flexi for 2 people? I see that the Saver Flexi pass is at a 15% fare reduction for 2 to 5 people travelling together, and covers first class.  My husband and I are seniors and wish to travel together, first class, and cannot see which option is less expensive.  We wish to purchase our passes this month,  so want to take advantage, too, of the discount that is on at the moment.  We are purchasing in Canadian Dollars. Also, do the Scandinavian trains have first class travel? Finally, how can we contact customer service?  All I get is a robot. Thank you for your help! Hilary Merritt

Can anybody get the seat reservation system working right now? Every time I click on “Book your reservation” the site does not allow me to enter any information on travellers/trains. Can anybody help?

Dear Interrail community,I need to make seat reservations from Milan to Bern for the EC leaving at the 7th of March at 11am. Unfortunately, I can't make the reservations here in Parma as the train station isn't large enough to do this. Now I wanted to book the seats via your website, but it's since a couple of days the reservation page is so slow, it takes me half an hour just to type in the "Milan" as a starting point (30min is not over exaggerated; I've tried this multiple times over the last couple of days). Therefore, I haven't been able to complete a booking, but I need a reservation on the train. Can you please help me? It's quite urgent. (Also, if you could fix that bug on your website, that would also do the trick.) Hope you can help me,Maxi

When I click on link “Check Train Time” on Laptop, it stuck nothing happens (Safari or Firefox) on iPhone I get this

Hi, we are not quite sure what to do about the inbound and outbound journey and how to fill it out. First of all, we do not know when we will be taking our last train - does that mean we have to just set a date? Because interrail is about just going with the flow you know, and there isn’t much about already deciding an end destination… We did’nt begin in our country of residence and we will not finish in it either? What do we do?

Hi, is there any way for me to now if the TGV still has seats for Interrail Users before I purchase the Interrail Pass? I want to use a specific one, because I want to meet up with a friend on the journey.

I would like to travel from Frankfurt to Milan using German rail pass via overnight train, can you please help me with guidelines here

I have purchased the 6 day Greek Island Hopping pass. Does anybody know if the trips have to be 2 international and 4 domestic? Or can I do 1 international trip (Bari-Patras) and 5 domestic trips? :)

Hi! Is possible that sometimes the interrail says that a reservation for a seat is mandatory but in reality we don’t need it? Like for example, I buy my reservation seat at a main station and they tell me that with interrail i don’t have to buy it( but my interrail app says it is necessary to buy it. Is this happen also to you, how you know when is in reality necessary and when not? Thanks!!

Hi, I'm new to this and am trying to plan a trip with my family this summer. I have checked websites of all the trains and reservation fees that I would have to pay but am having trouble with SNCF. I read that they have limited interrail tickets available, but on their website I can't seem to add that its an interrail pass booking. I don't have the interrail pass at the moment so it seems I can't check the interrail reservations until I have one.Is it possible to find out the availability of interrail places available before I purchase my interrail ticket? And if there is no interrail availability on certain tgv trains for example, then do I have to buy full price tickets? Rendering my interrail pass useless.TIA

Hi, I’ve  just noticed that Trenitalia offers some discounts on trains. It seems that it’s better to buy a regular ticked instead of using a day-trip with Interrail. The same train when try to book a seat in interrail system:And promo price in trenitalia (w/o interrail discount) for exactly the same train:97EUR with Interrail, 83EUR without :-ODo I understand it wrong? Is there any option to buy a super econony & interrail mix? Or just the best option is to buy a regular ticket and to save a trip day for the future?
