Is is possible to achive and take those trains or it’s imposible. We need some advice…Many thankscesc

When making bookings, I see the whole trip, book seats where necessary, then pay. The ticket only shows the paid part of trip. So do I just show my pass to get on the rest of the trains?

I'm trying to plan on the app a journey from Verona to sillian , in osttirol (austria). The shortest way is through the italian Pustertal (Bressanone/ Fortezza/ Brunico/ San candido/ sillian). The app apparently ignores this way and shows only a way trough innsbruck and woergl that takes much more time (+ 1 day).Anyone knows why?Thank you very much

Cosa possiamo fare? Come procedere?Grazie

Hi, I just saw this in the FAQs. We live in Bristol in the UK. Does this mean on my outbound trip we can travel from Bristol to London to Amsterdam (our first trip) but on our way home we can only travel from Paris to London (our last trip) and have to fund our travel from London to Bristol ourselves?  Your outbound journey can be used to travel from any location in your country of residence. Your inbound journey can be used to travel back to your country of residence.

I have a ticket for today, July 19 2025, from Amsterdam Central to Dusseldorf Germany at 14:01. I bought a seat reservation through the Rail Planner app, but it did not give me a choice of seats. I do not like the seat it picked so how do I modify my seat number? Is there a way to get a forward facing seat?

I’m an Interrail newbie. I have reserved tickets from London to Strasbourg, but it says no reservations are needed for the rest of the journey to Basel. When I try to book it, it says You’re ready to board. So how do we get tickets? Do we have to go out to the ticket desk and show our passes to get tickets? Or do we just get off the train from Paris and get on the one to Basel without having any tickets? And when we have other journeys where no reservations are required (eg Basel-Chur), do we just go to the ticket counter and show our passes, and they will issue us tickets? Sorry, all basic stuff I know, but I can’t find the info on the website. Thanks!

Hello, I have read several articles about using inbound/outbound days but it is still quite confusing for me. I am from the Czech Republic and I have 2 questions:1) I have a valid interrail pass up to 7 August, I will spend my last travel day (of 5) on 26 July by reaching Nurnberg (Germany), Am I entitled to use my inbound day on 27 July to get back to Prague? E.g. with a change of train in Germany or Czech station if there is no direct connection to Prague in selected time? 2) I know there is written several times that inbound/outbound days are not extra days but it is still not clear enough for me... Can you confirm me, please, that this sentence is the true in the described situation: I have a valid interail pass but I have already spent my travel days. However, I still have inbound and outbound days left. Is it true that I cannot use them if I have already spend all my travel days? E.g. I would like to do a trip to Dresden and back using my inbound and outbound days after a break i

Hi, is it possible to travel to Switzerland under the Discover EU program? Information on different websites varies greatly, so I'd like to make sure.

Hi Community,I'm still totally blown away by the Interrail offer - I actually didn't know that this offer was also available for adults and families. Our children have wanted a vacation in Spain for a long time, but I'm incredibly scared of flying, so it hasn't been an option until now. Now the idea of traveling by train came up.The route would be from Frankfurt (Main)/Germany to Barcelona (Blanes), departing on October 3. Two days there, two days back (October 11), we could use the 4-day Global Pass for that, right? When I was a child, I traveled to Spain with my parents in a sleeping car - that doesn't exist anymore, does it? With children, an overnight train connection would of course be ideal.Has anyone done this trip before and is Interrail travel really as straightforward as it seems? That would be fantastic. Many thanks for your help!

He comenzado a planear el Interrail. Gracias!!! :)

Hello train enthusiasts, starting at the end of september from France, I’m planning to travel to Cinque Terre through Switzerland (Bernina railway). Arrival date in La Spezia will be imposed and accomodation nearby reserved. But otherwise, I’d like to both take my time and not make any booking in advance so that I feel free to stop wherever I want in the moment.I experienced it last year in Switzerland, and I’m absolutely confident in the fabulous Swiss trains. I have an Interrail pass, no reservations needed and it’s pretty easy to hop on a train to the next station if I don’t find an accomodation. But what about Italy ? Can I travel the same way ?The route will be through Tirano, Lecco, Bergamo, Brescia or maybe till Verona, Parma. I haven’t chosen where I would stop for 1 or 2 nights (suggestions welcome), but I think I will have only short travel days so I intend not to use my Interrail pass but buy point-to-point regional tickets with no reservation needed. I read that there are Ita

Potete darmi qualche consiglio? Non vorrei, però,  pagare nessun supplemento...

Hello! If travelling from Beauvais to Paris on a Sunday in August (31st), would you advise booking the train ahead of time or is it okay to just turn up on the day and sort the ticket there and then (either with or without a rail pass)? Thanks so much!

For starters thankyou in advance, Community.  If I were in the know I would gladly offer my advice to everyone.Today I am 90 days out on a trip from Barca to Lyon (August 4th).  I went to reserve seats for my wife, son and I and it states that I cannot.  I have (3) 1st class, Eurail Global Passes for multi days.  When I click o the Rail Planner app to make a seat reservation it launches an option to (Go to the website), so I do. On the website it states *Not available from Eurail.com.  This seat Rez can’t be booked on our website. Click More Info.  So I do.  From there it state in bullet points.  1. You can book up to 90 in Advance (today). 2. Print at home, and you get emailed up to 3 hours prior. 3. Post delivery up to 6 days before. and other facts that you will be booked in you class and placed together.  Also, you can book at the station, and only locally in Spain. What do I do or where do I go for the most seamless way forward with what I have (Eurail Global Pass)?  Is it the las

I have activated a rail pass and want to get to Brussels from Marmande in SW France. The trip involves Eurostar from Paris to Brussels.  I could find seat reservations in the Interrail app. It referred me to https://www.b-europe.com/EN/Booking/PassI went on there and booked a seat on a Eurostar for €31 and have received confirmation of that. However I can’t now find the particular train (17:55 from Paris) on the Interrail app. Any advice - what should I do

I have a 5 days pass in one month, and how does it count?Like in hours? does it mean i can travel 120 hours in one month? Or like 5 whole days? Does it matter if it's less than 120 hours, but it spans five days? I don't travel the whole time, so does it count as a whole day anyway? If i travel in the morning, til the afternoon like 5pm, does it mean that i have already used up one day, or only those hours I had just been on the way? Thank you for your answers.

We will be making our first trip in September 2026.  Currently planning on visits to London, Paris, Venice and Rome (with a Greek Isle cruise  between the visits to Venice and Rome) in that order.  Several questions; How far in advance can a pass be purchased? We will probably need a Global Pass (but that’s a guess), and the trip will be four weeks. When does the “clock start” on a pass?  At first use?How far in advance can reservations for specific trains be made? Are any of the trips between cities overnight? We are early risers so an early morning train is not a problem for us.We will be traveling with 3 fairly large bags, are they checked when boarding? Those may be silly questions, but we know nothing about the rail system and do not know anyone locally with experience. Thanks,

Does the Eurail Global Pass cover the NightJet train for couchette from Italy to Munich Germany

Later this year I will be going from Switzerland to Italy on a relatively flexible schedule.  Because of handy clock face times I can spend shorter or longer times in the connecting city. But . . . reservations are mandatory on the Zurich-Milan and Milan-Rome legs . . . and this somewhat takes away from the flexibility. For example, I arrive into Zurich at (say) 09:05 and should be able to get the next train to Milan at (say) 09:25.  The same goes for the second leg - I get into Milan at (say) 12:30 and should be able to get the 12:50 to Rome.  Those specific times are made up, but the 20-25 minute connections are more or less accurate.Because I have to buy reservations, I either have to gamble on my 1st train arriving on schedule or book the train an hour later.  The same goes for the 2nd train.  I can gamble on the connection or book the train an hour later.Short version - if I reserve the short connections and miss one because of a delay is it possible to be rebooked on the next train

Hey,we have issues concerning the connection between Amsterdam and Copenhagen on the 3rd of August. We are currently only finding connections with at least 7 changes and we know that there are direct connections from Hamburg to Copenhagen on other days as well as quite good connections from Amsterdam to Copenhagen with only changes in Hannover and Hamburg. We don’t understand why this connection is so difficult on that day and why there are no direct connections on that Sunday from Hamburg to Copenhagen. Can somebody tell us the reason for that? And does someone maybe know any good connections? We’re from Germany so we know, that Deutsche Bahn is not really reliable. That’s why we are searching for connections with a fair amount of layover but that are still manageable in a day. We are also open to overnight connections from Saturday to Sunday, as long as the last major connection starts on Saturday so we only need one Travelday. Thank you very much for your help!

Hello, I noticed from the Interail rewards that there is access to some of the OBB lounges.  The one I’m interested in using is at Innsbruck as our train is cancelled and a bus replacement service is in place.  That’s all good but there is an hours wait and just wanted confirmation that we can use the lounge even if we don’t have an OBB ticket.  Has anyone used it with just the Interail/Eurail pass? Many thanks
