Hi,Could someone please clarify: if I purchase a Eurail Global Pass, will it allow me to travel on high-speed trains operated by companies like Deutsche Bahn (DB) in Germany and Trenitalia's Frecciarossa in Italy? Specifically, can I use the pass for both domestic journeys (from one city to another city in Italy or France to explore whole city) within a country and international trips between countries, such as traveling from Germany to France and then to Italy?Thank you!

This my family’s first time using Eurail in Italy and I have just a couple questions. After getting the passes for my family a couple months back I first used the website to route our travel and made all of the necessary reservations. Then, just a couple weeks back we activated our passes in the app, looked up those same routes and added those journeys to our passes. I’m still getting emails from Eurail however reminding me to make my reservations, which I have already made. Was the order in which I first made reservations and then created the journeys and add them to our passes in the app wrong? Related to this, for those trains in which we have reservations, do we need to only show the train attendants that PDF ticket, or do we also show them the QR code for the same journey in the app? Finally, those Trenitalia reservations ticket don’t indicate whether they need to be printed or can just be shown on our phones. Are printed tickets necessary? Thanks very much.

Trying to do my reservations needed and app doesn’t work/ load the page for the reservation. Then it clicks to an error message. Try on the desktop rather than app and even though I sign in my trip and pass aren’t there. Can anyone explain why I am doing wrong lol

Hi,When using the planner, Is it possible to add different journeys on the same day, and will they automatically result in just one single travel day ? For example, we want to travel from Antwerp to Belfast -< if we put these destination at once in the travel planner, we would lose 2 travel days because of not always showing the best connections or not showing all trains available. If we split this trip in different journeys we are able to do the whole track in just a single travel day. However, we're not really sure that we can split it and add it like this without losing an extra travel day. Anyone who knows the answer? We made already some reservations on the Eurostar according to the best suited time schedule (separately).

Hello, we are traveling to Germany, Austria and Switzerland in June/Julyi have one leg left to book and can’t get anything to work. Need to book seat reservations from Rothenburg de o Tauber to Grindelwald. We have the Global Eurail 1st Class Pass. Have tried Eurail site, DB, SBB, and can’t get it to secure. On Eurail, it never prompts me to enter credit card number, it just processes and then errors out. I’ve cleared cache, changed computers, gone incognito. any help would be appreciated!!!

I only have an American passport and I’d like to spend a couple years in the UK to do research via the UK HPI Visa. I’ll be staying with a family member near London.Am I eligible for an Interrail pass? I have a feeling I would have complications with showing my US passport and an Interrail pass together.

Hi, I'm in Lauterbrunn. I want to visit the snowy mountains, but I don't want to spend more. Are there any trains that my second-class pass includes? Thanks

Does anyone know if you need to reserve a seat on this train? I've just looked the timetables up and says the train we need to take (08.55) is fully booked?  EDIT: to change the train time

Hello fellow railers! Does anyone know if there is a direct train from Latour de Carol to Perpignan?

I am keen to start my journey this year from France into Spain on this special sounding train across the Pyrenees, but I am very confused by its itinerary. The Man in Seat 61 speaks of the possibility of boarding in Perpignan but SNCF just barges in and takes over when I try to check that on their site, and only shows TGVs to Barcelona! The other departure point is Toulouse, which is less problematic. What I need please is details of these two routes to Barcelona with the pricing structure, making it possible to do the journey with minimum cost. Also. can I go to one of the above main stations and simply buy a ticket? If it is as inexpensive as it looks, I won’t need to use a precious travel day getting to Barcelona.Thank you! Brian (87, still going strong...)

We are travelling from the UK to Mulhouse in France via Eurostar to Paris, TGV to Strasbourg and then TER to Mulhouse on 11 June. This is one of the days identified by SNCF for strikes by rail workers in France. We are en route to the Alps the next day, so could have travelled via Belgium and Germany instead, but needed to book Eurostar before the allocation of Interall passholder fares ran out, (booked via Rail Europe) and before the June strike dates were announced, and so went for the route through Paris instead. Is there any way of changing the Eurostar booking to a destination of Brussels instead of Paris, other than buying a whole new reservation at 40 Euro per person? As far as i can see you can only change time and date, not destination, on Eurostar bookings.Based on past strikes, SNCF seem to advise only a few days in advance of strike action if a specific train will be running, but that is not much use if there is no way of changing a Eurostar booking a few days before travel i

I’m travelling from London and I’m planning my trip, I just want to know if I have to add London as my starting destination as well as my ending destination

The start of our trip to Italy begins with a flight into the ROME airport. We are then traveling to Naples. That first journey inlcudes a local train from the Airport to downtown ROME and then a train from ROME to Naples. I had to make reservations on the ROME to Naples train. What I’ve just realized is that the first leg is a train from ROME Airport Fiumicino to the ROME Ostiense station. We then have to take public transportation from the ROME Ostiense station to the ROME Termini station and we have only 30 minutes between arrival at Ostiense and when the train from Termini to Naples is scheduled. There are no 2nd class train options from the Airport station to the Termini station that morning on the Eurail app, so I’m going to schedule a separate train on ItaliaRail from the airport to the Termini station in plenty of time to make the train to Naples. My question is whether it’s necessary to cancel the Journey I already have scheduled and schedule a new Journey on Eurail for just th

Seat Reservation unavailable on Eurail but available on RailEurope? Why is this? I have a Global Pass. Need to book Barcelona to Narbonne on 22 Sep 2025. Thank you,

Hi, First time Interailer looking to book onto the OBB Nightjet from Brussels Midi to Wien Salzburg. I clicked on the booking option on the Interail site but just get this message. No price results were found. Pass holder reservations may be sold out for this connection, but there are other ways to check for available seats—more info below our timetable.I there another way to book a reservation on this night train as our current trip is sort of built around it? Maybe naive to think I could just book after buying my pass but any advice would be really appreciated. Travel date for night train would be departing Monday 7th July. Thanks,Andy

hello, i was wondering how late i can wait to decide which train and on which day i want to take the train? Is it possible to change your mind on the travel day if already booked?

Hi, i think i made a mistake with activating my eurrail pass. In dutch (netherlands)  and have 2 number on my passport. One is a document number and one is a personal number. They said to fill in the id number and i filled in my document number. Does it matter which number it is if the pass will match it in eacht europian country i go to. Or do i need to change it to the personal number?

I am planning to travel to France with the Single Country-France Pass. I am traveling from Cologne, Germany to Brittany. The first part of the trip would be a Eurostar train from Cologne Hbf - Paris Nord (e.g.: EST 9426). As I understood, the single country pass does not allow for an included trip to the border within the home country, as the Global Pass does. The Eurostar goes from Cologne to Paris, via Belgium. The question is now, which ticket option I would need to cover the leg from Cologne to the part where the train enters France and technically becomes valid?Do I need to buy an additional ticket for this part or what are my options?Any help or tips & tricks are much appreciated :)

HelloI booked night train tickets between Paris and Berlin with OBB Nightjet. These tickets are non-cancellable and were issued as PDFs.Unfortunately, I have to cancel this trip with my partner because her exams have been postponed at the time of the trip.1/ Do you know if there is a way to still get a refund, even partial, in cases of force majeure?2/ Do you know if it's possible to sell them to relatives and easily change the name on the ticket?Thank you for your help. Have a great day.

Our QR code for the trip did not work at the gate.
