Solved

Hi - I’m looking for some advice on an upcoming trip to Germany (Sept/Oct) and while we’ve train traveled before, we’ve never done multiple trips like this and had reason to consider the value or ease of a pass vs. individual journey tickets. We’re 63 and 66 so one of us can always be a senior fare, sometimes both! We may upgrade to 1st class on some of these longer journeys, not sure yet.I’ve looked at the DB website for these prices and this is what I found without including seat reservation costs - all prices are tickets for two total and all are 2nd class:Frankfurt Airport->Munich Sparpreis 108€  Munich->Mengen Super Sparpreis 68€  Mengen->Boblingen Super Sparpreis 54€ Boblingen->Heidelberg Super Sparpreis 49€ Heidelberg->Darmstadt Super Sparpreis 35€ Frankfurt->Cologne Super Sparpreis 40€ Cologne->FRA airport 40€ (lowest fare, may change time of travel)I feel confident that once we choose the departure time, we can always commit so the Super Sparpreis is ok fo

I know how to find what trains I *can* take a bicycle on, but the ICE trains in particular require a bicycle reservation.  How do I book that? The bahn.de site says you can only book a bicycle reservation with a meatbody ticket, but my meatbody is getting on with the EURail pass.  I can buy a seat reservation on its own, but that isn’t helping me with a bike reservation.Where do I go from here?  Bike reservations are notoriously difficult on ICE trains, so this is a non-starter for me to “wing it”.

Hi there,Can anyone advise whether Eurostar in Brussels is likely to accept late boarding (approx 20 mins before departure)? On 30 July I’m catching the 20.56 Eurostar from Brussels to London, which is the last train of the day.I’ll be travelling to Brussels from Hamburg via Cologne, and am due to arrive into Brussels on a DB train at 19.35. However, given DB’s reputation for delays I’m feeling slightly anxious about missing my connections. If I miss my Cologne transfer, there is a eurostar service from Cologne to Brussels that will get me into Brussels at 20.35. Hopefully it won’t come to this, but if it did, would I still be able to catch the 20.56 Eurostar service onto London?Any insights appreciated! Thanks.

Hi, my phone recently broke while traveling. This means that my interrail pass cant be used on that device anymore. I already had contact with interrail and they unregistered my pass from my phone so i can add my pass on another device. My question is: is it possible to add my pass on my friends device so we have two passes on the same device? If this is not an option, does anyone have another suggestion?

If I board at Bruges on way to Brussels on Eurail, transferring in Brussels to Eurail train to London, is 36 min enough time? Note says to allow 45-90 minutes to check passports, etc.

I have traveled with Eurail for five summers but always individually. This coming summer I will be traveling with a friend. We would like to make our reservations so that we can be seated together. I have had a long email dialogue with Eurail Customer Support be I still don’t see exactly how it works when using the app. At the website we can join both of our passes to one trip. In the app it creates a Copy Trip. It doesn’t seem like the original Trip (my pass) and the Copy Trip (my friend’s pass) are linked in any way that making reservations will assign us adjoining seats. Can someone give me a better explanation than Eurail Support?Do we need to always make reservations through the website? If we are linked in the same Trip on the website does it effect our passes in the app?

HOW is a second pass added to a phone device?

I’m planning to travel by the from Munich to Vienna (see picture ).should I reserve a seat in advance for this route ?

Have a query on using bus for travelling short distances with the unlimited Global Eurail passes from the railway stations in Switzerland in general and in particular from Val-d'Illiez station to Village Champoussin... distance of 7 kilometers serviced by local Bus Route #81.  We are a family of four (2 adults + 2 children aged 8 & 10 years) and will be staying at Champoussin Ski Resort for about a week and will be frequenting the distance between Val-d'Illiez station and Champoussin village almost everyday for a week. I understand Bus travel is NOT included in our Eurail Global pass. So, requesting for information here on the Bus passes and if there is any discount on the Swiss Bus tickets with the Eurail Pass? Thanks in advance for all your help.

Hello, I’m wanting to travel via night train from Prague to Zurich and back, but my home country is Germany which the train travels through. I understand that this would be impossible as each journey would count as both an inbound and outbound day due it passing through Germany. However, could I work around the issue by purchasing point to point tickets for the journey from Prague to the German border and the same in reverse and then adding the journey to the app simply from the first stop over the border (Bad Schandau - DE) so that the way out would count as my outbound journey and the return my inbound? The other issue that could complicate matters is that I would need to make a couchette reservation and this would be for the full journey at the Interrail pass rate. Would this be a problem if the journey was split this way? Thanks for any advice!

If the train is not fully booked on Romanian domestic trains like IR trains, is it possible to ride without reservation and buy reservation ticket through conductor?Traveling from Suceava to Bucharest I tried to reserve at Cluj Napoca, but they said it must to be reserve at Suceava station. So I am worrying if the connection is short to buy at Suceava.I heard SNCF is possible to ask conductor buy as there is a vacant. How about Romania?

Muchas gracias

Is there a way to determine if my eurail pass covers gong from Venice to Ljubljana? I do the Reservations part and enter in those two destinations and it comes up empty. It seems odd me when looking at other online sources. Not sure if there is a hidden trick that shows how I can get to to Slovenia from Italy.

where is my confirmation of purchase email? It did not come. How can I reach Customer Service?

We are having trouble booking the Nightjet from Amsterdam to Basel on July 31 2025.  For that date it says, “Currently not reservable”.  (Also for Aug 1 & 2) But dates before and after seem to be fine. Any suggestions?

I will be reaching Chur Switzerland by Glacier Express on 16 Sept 2025 and want to go to Munich by train the same day. I would like to know where would I board the Munich train 2224 Alpenrhein operated by SOB from? The same train station or different train station? If different train station then name of the station and how do I travel to this station?

I purchased to your Eurail passes today & didn’t get my email. How do I contact them with questions, specifically where is my email?

We were advised to book seat reservations as soon as they became available, as they can be limited on some routes. We have planned our itenary and book the relevant trains / seats. There is still a while to go but I have been sorting the paperwork and adding information to our running sheets. On checking our journey from Salzburg to Strasbourg on the 3rd May the first 2 legs starting at 10:00 from Salzburg to Munich and then 13:02 from Munich to Mannheim have both dissappeared. How do I get on about changing the seat reservations to an alternative?Obviously the seat reservations will not be valid on an alternative timetabled journey, despite the route being the same.

Hi all,Im trying to get to Valencia, but Interrail (mostly eurostar, tgv and inoui )are making it very difficult and expensive for me.. I want to get from Rotterdam to Narbonne on May 31st, and then travel the next day to Valencia. The first day is the problem, especially the part between Bruxelles Midi and Montpellier (where i need to change)For basically every option i see the pass is either not applicable or I have to pay a genourmous reservation fee (ie around 160 euro on top of an already pretty expensive pass). My ultimate route was: Rotterdam - Bruxelles midi 06:40-08:03 - no need for reservation Bruxelles midi - Montpellier Saint Roch 08:17-14:30 - IMPOSSIBLE Montpellier - Narbonne 14:50-15:53 - 10 euro reservation The only affordable option is leaving Brussels at 14:00 and arriving in Narbonne really late (around 22:00), which kind of defeats the purpose of the journey. Can somebody help me get an alternative route? Otherwise I'm afraid I have no choice but to take the plane….

Hi all, I finally brought two eurail 10 day passes as we are two australians travelling around europe.I managed to download the eurail app and add my pass but i have not activated it in fear that will mean i have to use it within two months when we dont start until june 15.I went to add my partners pass and couldnt see an option to do this ??Maybe it is only one pass per app but how would this work if you had family members without phones ?? Much thanks Marty

I’m frustrated to see there’s a great Eurostar sale on today when I bought a sale Interrail pass the other day in order to do a short trip from the UK to mainland Europe in May. With the great Eurostar sale today I could have booked it cheaper with individual tickets rather then the Interrail ticket I bought the other day…

Hi there, we have an inter rail pass and will be in Madrid in August. We wish to travel to Lisbon. We are happy to head north and come down into Portugal from Galicia (Ourense) or to travel to Salamanca and across to Coimbra and south to Lisbon from there. When I look on the Inter Rail map, it all seems possible but when I try and look at timetables or reserve seats, it comes up with nothing. I know I’m early to book but usually I am informed that reservations etc. will be possible 90 days prior. With this route it just indicates that it’s not possible. Can someone advise please? Thanks so much
