Question

Different timetable between Interrail and trainline or the company's website

Hello everyone,

I am planning a trip for December and comparing tickets prices to see if an Interrail pass would be interesting.

To travel from Warsaw to Prague i checked on trainline first and i saw several possibilities during the day, some of them offered by the company České drahy (CD). I checked the company’s website and found the same timetable.

But when i looked for those trains on the interrail website (not the app because i don’t have it yet) they didn’t appear and instead there was only two trains in the day, departing in the evening, and much longer. Plus, those did not appear

I put you screenshots of the different timetables at the end of my message.

Then i checked on the interrail website if those trains were covered by the pass and they seem to be (cf picture).

This confuses me quite a lot and i don’t understand why it is so different.

Also if the only possibility with interrail is this one (first picture), it would count as 2 travel days because there is a connection at 1:37 am in the night and i would need a 5 days pass instead of a 4 days one so i need to know this…

I am quite lost about all of this and i would be very grateful if someone could enlighten me about this! I hope my message is clear enough but feel free to ask me more details if not :)

Have a good day,

Camille

What the Interrail website or the Rail Planner app says is irrelevant because they're often out of date, incomplete and generally unreliable. They should never be used to plan. In this case it looks like Interrail hasn't loaded the new timetable yet.

The operators’ own planners are most reliable. If they say a train will run, then it will run.

Also note that the night train Prague-Warsaw is direct, no change necessary, but the timetable doesn't seem complete yet. It also looks like reservations from/to Poland are not possible yet for dates from 13/12.

For pass reservations on these trains, cd.cz is good. In general, use this page as a guide:
