You don’t say the date, but I’m guessing from the screenshot that it’s 14 October.

On that date, there is passholder availability, as shown on Rail Europe.

The Interrail reservations service often has problems finding availability. This isn’t a problem for most travellers, who can simply buy reservations direct from Rail Europe instead, but it’s no good for Plus Pass holders who have to book through Interrail.

I suggest you contact customer service to ask for a solution. Explain that there’s availability elsewhere, but not direct through Interrail. @Interrail Community Moderator what else can @J0hannes do?

Hi ralderton, thanks for your reply!

I tried to contact Interrail, but the only suitable option was canceling the Plus Pass.

So, i Think this is something the team needs to work on, to go beyond the Beta phase.

For now, I would not recommend the Plus Pass (beta).

BR Johannes

I hope you got a full refund of the pass, so without any fees.

@Interrail Community Moderator Could you please let us know when the international AVEs can be booked again? It's not just a problem for the Plus pass, it's a general problem on the Interrail website:

Hi @rvdborgt and @ralderton,

I have escalated the issue internally. I will let you know as soon as I receive an update.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for your patience while we've been looking into the reservation pricing issue.

We've received an update from our technical teams. The issue has been partially resolved, and we can now see that reservation offers are being returned successfully in several cases. However, there is still an outstanding issue affecting some travel dates. In particular, we've confirmed that for 16 October, the booking system is not returning any pricing results, which means reservations cannot be processed correctly for those journeys. The issue has now been escalated to our IT team for further investigation. For the time being, if you're unable to obtain a reservation through our booking tool, we recommend using alternative reservation channels where available. We'll provide another update as soon as we receive more information from the technical team.

Thanks for the update.

Is there any specific solution you can offer Plus pass holders who are in the situation above?

The best solution would be if they could rapidly get permission from Customer Service to buy the reservation elsewhere, with certainty that they would be reimbursed.

Yes, it makes sense that having identified the issue and brought it to your attention and given that there is still availability that can be booked elsewhere that Interrail would arrange this for Johannes.

That’s a very convoluted way of saying that customer service should (in this case at least) be able to book this manually and apply it to the account for J0hannes using his existing credits.
