Train connections & reservations

I have two Interrail passes and made a booking for a Eurostar using the wrong pass.Is there anyway to change the pass number for this reservation? Or is it not necessary?Thanks for your suggestions and help!Sibylle

I am worried my flight will late, should I reave the seat ? Or waiting until arrive the destination then go to reservation?

My route from Naples to Florence doesn’t show on the Trainitlaia site, but still show in the interrail app. I usually look in the official sites to check trains are on time but am I using the correct site to be checking this if it’s not showing?   

Hello dear community,the question came up a few times, but I still need help.In Summer, I am on tour with our scout group to Sweden and want to book reservation for Swedish trains. But for most of the stuff I get the above-mentioned message.This happens for example for Koeln to Uppsala on the 18.07 or the 25.07. etc.I also can only use the interrail site, because I ordered paper passes (we try to use our smartphone not, if possible in our scout group), but since they haven’t arrived yet, I do not know the number of the passes.Is there any possibility to fix this issue or get the pass numbers early?Thank you :) 

I am looking to book Interrail reservations on Polish domestic trains, within the 30 day window and via the PKP Intercity website, but the Interrail option in the discount drop-down list is missing. What am I doing wrong? Thank you in anticipation.

Hello Eurail Experts,I am planning to travel from Rome to Venice. I already reserved the seats for Rome to Venice. As a plan B, I would like to visit Pisa and board the same train from Florence. Is this allowed in Trenitalia FRECCIAROSSA. Will my seat reservations still valid if I board at Florence instead of Rome?Thanks in advance! 

Hi travellers, To my interrail trip i was going to go from venezia S. Lucia to Vienna Centrale, but when i go to buy the seat reservations it tells me it inst available, i also have seen for some other days but it happens all the  time, if someone could help figure it out I would very much appreciate it. The day I was planing to go from venezia S.Lucia to vienna Centrale was on the 14 of august and the time of departure was at 21:05 and arrival time at 06:05. Thanks :)

We are planning to travel on the overnight train from Amsterdam to Zurich on the 9th August.  I would like to reserve seats but it says ‘no seat reservation required, you can buy a seat reservation if you like but it’s not required’.  How do we reserve a seat?  When you click on the message, nothing happens.

Hello everybody!Newbie question regarding Eurostar from Paris to London…Planning on taking the last train from Paris Nord to London St Pancras (ES9063) departing at 21:13 hrs. My flight into Paris arrives approximately 18:00 hrs whch gives me only about 3 hours including customs, baggage collection & transport from CDG to Paris Nord. Can someone tell if that will be cutting it too close to catch the last train (ES9063)?Also, what is the check-in closing time for Eurostar? If it makes any difference, I am in France on an Indian passport; travelling on UK Tourist/Schengen Visa and a Global Eurail Pass. Thanks in advance for your time… 

Hello. I am trying to reserve a seat going from Lyon Part Dieu to Bruxelles-Midi using Eurail Pass. However, somehow, I cannot find a way to use a pass to reserve in the website. When looked into the reservation site on Eurail, the site only appeared as “seat reservation required” not as ‘Prices Unavailable” error. Is there any way I can use the pass for the reservation? Thank you

Hello all! Very new to all this, but I’ve had absolutely no luck paying for seat reservations at all. The only leg of my journey I can’t afford to use the “no seat reservation” filter is from Amsterdam to London (travelling on 13th or 14th April). I thought a couple of weeks in advance would have been enough, but am I being completely naïve?! I would have thought there’d at least be some potential to get a ticket… Any words of wisdom around this would be greatly appreciated, before I go ahead and book a flight (boo).

However, I will be grateful if anyone kindly clarify the following aspects related to seat reservation:Can I do reservation online? If so, what is that link and how to do that and get the reservation confirmation? Can I do the reservation from any station? I mean for example, I need the reservations for MILAN to INTERLAKEN for 10th APRIL. Now can I do the reservation from Roma Termini station on 8th/9th April by going there physically? I need another reservation for ZURICH to PARIS for 12th April. Now can I do that reservation from ZURICH HB station on 11th April by going there physically? Suppose, I have done the reservation for a particular train on a particular time table. However, if I miss that time and want to catch up another train on the same destination on the same day on a different time table, will my previously purchased reservations will do? Or I need to purchase again? If I need to pur

Hi there,When I search ÖBB for seats from Venice S. L. to  Bari 17.7. I can see the different options (I couldn't a few days ago), but when I choose ticket and day ticket I just get a no journey found message. Why is that? Still to early or they can't be booked at ÖBB /Karina 

Hi I want to travel from Budapest to Milan on 20th (or if necessary 21st) April but on checking obb website there's no seats on salzburg-milan night train on 20th. Is there another route I can use? I've booked a seat on a train from Saltzburg around 6am on 21st but no idea how to get there from Budapest! Thanks.  Carole  

Hi interailI am going to get some vaccinations done a couple days before my trip. I was worried if I get sick due to this what would happen if I can’t take the train out of the uk during my reserved train journey, can I take a train another day even if a reservation has been made but the journey was not completed?As I have heard you are only allowed 2 travel days in your own country.Thanks for any help,Angel

Hi2nd year of rail pass travel with my son so we’re much more organised this year, however the delay in being able to book the last seat reservations for a key step in our journey back home is causing me some worry.we need to book on the 13:34 TGV Zurich to Paris on 10th August but bookings are still only open till around mid June, 3 months till pass reservations open I believe.However the price of the reservations with the pass is around 74 euros, no choice of seat location and risk I don’t get in quick enough due to limited pass seats.Whereas I can book that train now, via a few places but say the rail europe site for 77 euros (plus booking fee) and be able to chose an upstairs seat (obviously!) and rest easy.The few euros difference for peace of mind and an upstairs seat seems worthwhile or am I missing a trick.What would you do?Thanks

My family will travel in Spain this July - from France to Barcelona to Mallorca, then Seville. I am trying to reserve tickets on Eurail ahead, but they don't let you do that in Spain for some strange reason. We will be stay in Barcelona for 3 days then fly to Mallorca and back then down to Seville. We need to do the Mallorca to Seville trip in one day.  But I can't find anything listed about times in Spain. I need to know so I know when to book the Mallorca flight. Please help me.

Hey there,My train fromm Paris to Barcelona was canceld so i booked it to an earlyer one. The women at the service Center booked my new Reservation and now i saw it's in First class but i only have an Pass for second class. So is this a Problem?

Hello everyone,Sorry first time poster here. :)My partner and I are travelling through Portugal early April. i read that seat reservations can only be bought from vending machines and ticket offices inside Portugal and I just want some reassurance that they won't sell out around that time of year?Basically, we've had to rejig our entire trip because Eurostar seat reservations had sold out. (Hence the paranoia!) So instead we're flying to Faro instead and travelling up. The plan is to arrive 31 March. Take the train to Lisbon on the 1st, to Porto on the 2nd, and then to Vigo on the 3rd. Thanks! 

We are planning our train schedules for Spain and Portugal this summer. We find trains for all of our travels except for Porto to Saniago de Compostela to Segovia in July. No trains come up for this route. Up to Porto and Segovia into France show trains in July so I would not think that it is schedules aren’t available. Any thoughts?

Hi, I wondered if anybody else has had the misfortune to make an error like I have and double booked the Eurostar ?I booked a journey and for some reason it was duplicated ( probably something to do with my less than up to date computer skills ! ) and so I have now paid for two journeys for exactly the same people at exactly the same time.I contacted eurorail to explain this was a mistake and was told curtly by email that sorry I could not get a refund.I understand the no exchange / cancellation by the ticket holder policy but surely if you have made a genuine mistake its a bit poor to be penalised by eurorail who have been known to make the odd mistake themselves…..Does anyone have any advice please ? ( other than sharpen up my computer skills which is a given...)Many thanks

HiI wonder if anyone can help me? I shall wake up in Montpellier this Saturday and will take a local train to Nimes and then I have reservations for the train to Paris at 1214hrs so I can get my Eurostar reservation back to London leaving Paris at 1713hrs.  The problem is that SNCF has emailed to say that they have cancelled the train from Nimes.  Does anyone know what I can do so I get back to London on Saturday please?
