Hi All, I bought a Nice to Florence journey, however because I only had to buy reservations for two parts of the trip, the 3rd part is now not showing up on my itinerary? How do I reserve seats that I don't have to pay for? Thank you!
Does someone have information why there is no Liegewagen available for the night train from Zurich to Prague? Usually there is, even for spontaneous booking but now I couldn’t find any in the next couple of weeks. They only offer the more expensive sleeping beds (~200 for reservation only). ThanksHanna
For the train from Lyon to Barcelona on the 26th of April the passholder reservations are unavailable on interrail, but reservations are available on happyrail.com for this journey. On happyrail.com it is not specified as being for interrail passholders. If I book a reservation directly via happyrail, will my pass be valid?
I have been waiting to book the train from Paris, Gare de Lyon to Nimes Centre on 1 May at 14:42.i have been checking on RailEurope for the past few weeks and this train has not appeared. It is available every Friday until the week before.Does anybody know when this will appear on RailEurope?
I am planning to travel Budapest to Bratislava and onto Poprad, with a Global 2nd class pass. I am seeing some conflicting information about reservations for this route. Can anyone advise the correct info! From Budapest to Bratislava with Railjet Metropolitan. The app says reservations required but comments here suggest they are not. Bratislava to Poprad. There is an hourly “Express” train on this route. Will this just be a simple 1Euro reservation, not the more expensive IC reservation fee? Also, is it possible to pay an upgrade to first class on Bratislava to Poprad train? How should I do this? Thanks
Hi,Trip planner set to London-Paris then change of station in Paris so I can do Paris-Milan, it shows the commute as good to go as it accepts my pass.I am able to book the first leg via the Eurail booking system (Eurostar) but unable to select Milan as a destination for the second leg of my trip via the TGV trains with SNBC (I can only select destinations in France). What do I have to do?Consider:Type of pass: Global 2nd class (Interrail as in I am from the EU).My pass isn't yet activated but just purchased and added to my account.Departure date: 13th April 2026Thank you all!
Hi community. I am trying to work out how to book a wheelchair seat for our daughter who is travelling with us in March. There will be three of us travelling, my wife, myself and our disabled daughter. The main trains I want to book the wheelchair seat on is the Eurostar from London to Bruxelles-Midi and also the TGV from Bruxelles-Midi to Strasbourg. I have no problems booking assistance and have downloaded the Eurail Passenger assistance and mobility services document. It is just the seat reservation for a wheelchair I cannot find an answer to.I have read several question people have posted, but none seem to have the answer, just references to the assistance document.Hoping someone can post a clear answer for me and anyone who is trying to find an answer for this in the future. Thank you for your time.
I have a question regarding OBB’s nightjet. Is it covered by interrail pass?
Hey, I am from Germany and want to travel Stuttgart - Prag - Warsaw - Amsterdam - Antwerpen - Bruxelles - Paris- Stuttgart. But this would mean, that I would travel trough my home country of Germany three times in total. 1. Stuttgart - Prag 2. Warsaw - Amsterdam 3. Paris - Stuttgart. So 1. Would be my outbound journey and 2. my inbound journey. And for 3. I would travel Paris - Strasbourg (with the Interrailpass) and then book a normal train from Strasbourg to Stuttgart. Would this plan work? Because I am not sure about how the inbound and outbound journeys work, from my understanding I can travel 2 days inside of Germany with the inbound and outbound journey, or am I misunderstanding something. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me.
Hi all, I want to go to UK this year. As Eurostar trains are quickly sold out, I would like to make seat reservations now. Unfortunately, my passport will soon expire and I will be issued a new one. For the seat reservations, however, I need to provide my passport number. I only have my old passport number, but not the new one yet. Does anyone have experience with this? Can I change my passport number for the reservation later? Will it be sufficient to enter my current national ID number? Or do I have to wait until I receive my new passport number?
We reserved seats on the TGV from Munich to Paris using the Planner app. We were unable to select the seats ourselves; they were automatically assigned. Is it possible to select specific seats yourself?
2 days after arriving in Helsinki, I need to travel to Lahti using my 1st class Eurail pass. Since this is high season I am advised to get seat reservations as soon as possible but I do not seem to be able to do that in the Eurail app. The VR website issues seat reservations online but only if I buy a ticket, which of course I do not need. How can I do this?
Good afternoonMy husband and I have 2nd Class Eurail Global Passes. We will be staying in Cham.We would like to go to Montreux using the scenic (Golden Pass) train or any other suggestions. My understanding is that we take a normal train from Cham to Luzern. But once there I have no idea where to go to reserve seats. I have tried the Eurail App, SBB website and App and even the Golden Pass Express website but nowhere can I seem to reserve seats…I am starting to feel really dumb and stressing that I will not know where to go to reserve seats for all our travel during our holidays. We will be going to Italy, Paris, Amsterdam and Germany as well and if I cant get the first reservation done I have little hope for the rest. Please help :-( PS: I may need step by step instructions at this point 🤣
I know/understand that pass holder fares from Istanbul to Sofia can only be bought in person at a ticket counter in Istanbul.Unfortunately I can’t afford to take the risk that having made it to Istanbul I can’t get back out again. Is there any mechanism at all that I can use to *reserve* my place on the train, but only present my pass when I make it to Istanbul? For info/context, I aim to arrive in Istanbul around Thursday 2nd April and leave that Sunday night.I even thought of flying to Istanbul on the cheapest flight possible, booking my train and flying home, but it rather blows the “overland from Istanbul” plan if I have to fly there to get the ticket.
Hi!In may I will travel to Amsterdam. I have to decide between buying the ticket on the öbb nightjet website or buying the interrail (for the comodity of using it to travel in the netherlands during my stay).I have to know the total cost of the interrail (4 days package) included the seat reservation. If I look in the timetable of the app it says I don’t have to book a seat for the nightjet (Zurich-Amsterdam and return) but on the öbb website the seat reservation is required. If I choose a ticket in the öbb website it shows me the TOTAL COST so I don’t have an idea of the cost for the couchette resevation ONLY. I need to know the cost of ONLY the couchette resevation. The information are nowhere to find…Can someone please help me :-) Thank you!
Hi ! I have an issue with the AVE train from Madrid to Granada (train number 2076) on April 20th 2026. I have been trying for 4 days. Renfe websiteinterrail websiteThe interrail website says “ No price results were found. Pass holder reservations may be sold out for this connection, but there are other ways to check for available seats—more info below our timetable. “However, this train is already alvailable on Renfe website (04/20/26 is 84 days from now) and with plenty seats available.I haven’t found any information about limited seats for railpass on AVE trains. I didn’t manage to book Railpass seats directly on Renfe website and didn’t find any documentation on how to do it (contrary to what is possible with companies in other countries such as Austria). Thank your for your help.
I have bought seat reservations on Eurostar from London to Paris on the 1st of April at 11:31am. Booking number MYRW6R. How do I link this trip into my Eurail app? I was told I didn't need to (that my pass is my booking train ticket) but I'm worried that I need to do another step like ‘link my Eurail pass app to my Eurostar seat reservation tickets”. Please help me. I hope you understand this question Kind regards, Christine
Does somebody knows how to make a seat reservation from Gotenborg tot Hamburg for july? When can I make this reservation? Is this only 120 days in advance?
Hi,we are planning to travel from Zurich to north Italy, then to trieste and from there to Austria.I looked at the planner and for every part of the travel seems a good option available without reservations (sometimes a bit longer). We want our freedom so we will try this and maybe a last minute reservation if that is possible in februari. Then there is one part of the travel that is not so clear:We are planning to travel from trieste to Vienna. We would like to do a stop over in Graz for an afternoon, but it does not seem possible with super little trains going in the morning. Also it says you don’t need reservations but there is a supplement, not giving any further information on the supplements.i found in another forum topic from a few years ago the following answer:This supplement exist only on trains to Italy that are run by DB and ÖBB. This means like EC Munich-Innsbruck-Verona/Bologna/Venice or RJ Vienna-Villach-Venice. For this trains you have to pay 10€ in 2nd class. You can
I found a night jet train in the Rail Planner app I’d like to take, and it doesn’t require seat reservation. I tried to reserve in the interrail site anyway but I got a message that there might not be available reservations anymore. I looked for the trip in the train lines sites (both DB and ÖBB) and were not able to find it for the same date. Here the details for the trip:IC 60403Amsterdam Centraal to Zurich HB28.03.2026, 20:15-08:05Does that mean there is a problem with the schedule in the Rail Planner app and this trip won’t happen?
Dear CommunityI need some assistance. I have a 3-month Global Pass, and I’ve attempted to get seat reservations on a train from Copenhagen to Hamburg on March 3 at 10:22. I’ve tried DSB, DB, B-Europe and Eurail. Unfortunately, all sites either do not give me the option to choose seats or don’t work at all - see the pics attached below. Is anybody able to assist? I’ve used the information at The Man in Seat as my guidance for this. Many thanks in anticipation.SteveAdelaide, Australia.
Hello there, we are so excited to be traveling around Europe for a wedding in Spain! We are going to Paris, Nice, Monaco and Sevilla. On April 9th at 6:25 we will be traveling from Nice to Sevilla. While booking, I am only challenged with our train from Marseilles St Charles to Narbonne. I am receiving this message: “No price results were found. Pass holder reservations may be sold out for this connection, but there are other ways to check for available seats—more info below our timetable.” I have also checked the raileurope website and it’s not showing the same time as eurail that aligns with our other train times, I do not know if there could be an hour time difference so that may help. Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated, I have also contacted eurail directly for assistance. I attempted to attach images multiple times and it would not let me.
Hi all!Sorry if this question has been asked before, I can't manage to find it. I haven't bought my ticket yet, as I'm trying to figure out what is the smartest in terms of money. This is my situation: I live in France, and I want to travel around in the Netherlands. That would mean I'd buy a Benelux Pass.Getting to the Netherlands requires me to travel with the Eurostar. From Paris to Rotterdam. I have a few questions about this: 1. I think I've read somewhere that for this Eurostar ticket (Paris-Rotterdam) my interrail pass would work, as I think it's allowed to take 1 train in your country (france, paris) to get to your country of destination. Is that correct? Or would my pass only be valid from Brussels - Rotterdam? Because I read that too somewhere, so i'm a bit confused.I know that you have to reserve a seat on this Eurostar train. I just can't seem to find if there will be an additional fee for this reservation? Otherwise getting an interrail pass might not make sense. I alread
I am struggling to reserve seats for travel from Paris to Reims on 2 July. The train appears in the timetable, but I am unable to make a reservation. Can anyone advise me on how to reserve seats, please? Would it be possible to reserve seats via my local ticket office (ScotRail)?
