Train connections & reservations

Beste mede interrailer,Ik wil vanaf 8 februari met mijn digitale Interrail Global Pas naar Gallivare in Zweden reizen, omdat ik graag het noorderlicht wil zien. Voor deze reis heb ik alle treinen al gekoppeld aan mijn pas. Echter voor een viertal treinreizen is een stoelreservering verplicht. En dat is het probleem, omdat het me niet lukt om deze stoelreserveringen te kopen. Ik heb al van alles geprobeerd, maar helaas geen resultaat. Is er iemand, die mij verder kan helpen? Hello !I would like to travel from Liechtenstein to Brussels by train. To do this, I have to do Liechtenstein Zurich, then Zurich Frankfurt and then Frankfurt Brussels.My question is, when I book this journey on the Interrail app, will the app offer me to pay a supplement for the part where the train runs in Liechtenstein (since Liechtenstein is not part of the Interrail agreement)? Or how does it work ?Thank you very much for your help !

Hi, I was just hoping for some assistance. I have booked a couchette cabin on the 9.27pm overnight train tomorrow (January 14th) to Vienna. (Attached train screenshot. I am now trying to add the train journey to my eurail app however it does not seem to exist in the app? (I have also attached screenshot)Would someone possible know why this is? I am worried for if we get on the train with the seat reservation but the eurail pass can’t find the train.thank you!  

Hello! I have the one month 2nd class Eurail global pass and I am trying to get from Basel to Paris in April 2023. I see I can get a direct train, but there is a high reservation fee. I have heard of a cheaper option to go from Strasbourg to Paris or Mulhouse Ville to Paris for a cheaper seat reservation. Unfortunately both the eurail website and https://travel.b-europe.com both say I can not book.I have been trying since early December and every time since I have gotten the same message: booking momentarily impossible. At first I thought it was from the holidays and then maybe after the new year, but I have been checking constantly and it looks like I can only book until March 26th. Since I need to travel in April I have no idea why it stops at that day and I am unable to book the seat reservation. I can also always take a longer train journey with no reservation but I guess I am just curious at this point why it is saying it’s impossible. I thought it might because of the Easter holi

People! I have two questions and I really need a little help. I’m thinking about choose the Global Pass for a 30 days trip. My first question is related to the seat reservations. How much it costs for example 2 class London to Belgium? Or an avarage value. Any answer will help me. The second question is wether I can travel by train in tha same city, for example Paris to Paris or Madrid to Madrid.  I really appreciate your answers!!

Hello everybody, I have bought a seat reservation to go from Venice to Rome, but the date is incorrect. I need to cancel that, because I already have a new one which is correct.But when I press cancel button, it is said that this reservation is non-refundable. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to recover my money ?Regards.

Hello everyone,I am planning to travel from Budapest to Vienna. I would like to book it on the OBB website and I wanted to know if booking a reservation seat is enough for this route as I own an Interrail Pass.Because I saw somewhere that it was only valid if the travel was starting from Austria so I want to be sure that it is also possible if the departure is from Hungary (Budapest).Thank you for your help !

I’ve been trying to reserve seats for our journeys in March, from Copenhagen to Oslo, (12.21 from Copenhagenon 11th March) and Oslo to Stockholm (11.42 from Oslo 14th March) and Stockholm to Copenhagen (9.22 from Oslo 17th March) InterRail site says no prices were found and have tried alternatives without success.

Has anyone with a wheelchair managed to make Interrail/Eurrail work with trains which require reservations? I have sent a help question to the laughable “help” service but I just get replies about accessibility and not about how to actually use the pass. There is an extra complexity regarding reservations, for example the following: Eurostar: When you travel by wheelchair with Eurostar there is a system with a special ticket and then that organises the wheelchair space and the train ramp. They also place wheelchairs in a different class, so if I went onto the app and paid for a reservation in standard class do I then have to contact Eurostar to arrange everything else? I don’t know if my Interrail pass is going to be valid without making a reservation for a seat I won’t be using. Thalys does a similar thing, they usually charge a special fare (but they don't organise the ramp) so again, do I have to go on the Interrail pass and add a reservation (and pay for it) and then do something e

I’d like to travel to Naples from Trieste. The best route is via Venice, and this shows up on the trenitalia website for the date I want but not on the eurail booking app. It does show up on the app for other days (same day of the week as I want to travel available in other weeks) so must be a valid route and definitely seems to be running and bookable on trenitalia so I don’t really understand the discrepancy. It’s march 29th we’re looking at so quite far ahead. Any explanations/advice welcome!

Hello! I'm about to have my first experience using interrail and I’m super excited.I’m currently planning my trip from Amsterdam to Florence and I would like to take a nighttrain. On the reservation planner on the Eurail website the price for a reservation from Amsterdam to Zurich will cost €36. On the NSInternational (Dutch Railway) website it shows a ticket for the same train will cost €39 with an additional €4 for a seat reservation.Why is the price almost the same? Because on the NS International doesn't know about my interrail ticket… 

Hello! I’ll be traveling in Scandinavia soon with my 2nd class Interrail pass, and will take multiple long-distance trains. As such, together with the EnTur agency, I booked seat reservations for journeys like Trondheim - Bodø and Oslo - Bergen. However, both trains have no 1st class, but a premium class. EnTur told me that I can pay a seat upgrade to sit in premium with my 2nd class ticket. For both tickets I had to pay €30 & €20 extra for the ‘upgrades’. However, now after reading some posts in here, i’m a bit doubting if this is actually possible. Will I be fined, since I have no 1st class Interrail ticket?

I purchased a ticket from Barcelona to Geneva, Switzerland and had to make two reservations online. The ticket shows that it ends at Valence TGV, France. What do I do to get from Valence to Geneva?Thank You 

Hello, I’ve noticed that seat reservations in Spain can’t be done online but I have another question about that… when I saw that I could do the reservation  in a spanish train station it appeared that it only works in some days… Could anyone explain that to me?

HelloI just bought the Interrail Pass but i'm only going to travel in July. I've also already created a trip in Planner.It is possible to link the Pass to the trip planner and book seats on trains as well as book hostels with interrail discounts before activating the pass?Thanks,Daniela Silva

We would like to travel from Vaasa, (Finland) to Umea by ferry and then pick up the Stockholm to Narvik night train at about 2.00am in the morning.   Is this practical and reasonably easy?  any advice would be gratefully received.Thank you

Wij hebben een huisje in de buurt van Tomiño en Tui, Galicië Spanje. We zijn steeds met het vliegtuig gereisd naar Porto en huurden daar een auto. De laatste keer hebben we met onze eigen auto gereisd en dat is ons ook goed bevallen. De consequentie is dat we wel op enkele dagen reistijd heen en terug moeten rekenen ca. 2x 2500 km. We onderzoeken nu de mogelijkheid om met de trein te reizen. We stuiten daarbij direct op enkele bezwaren. De vele keren overstappen met bagage (met name in Parijs); het lijkt erop dat je met de trein alleen via Barcelona kan reizen (dat is een behoorlijk omweg); geschikte steden om met te trein naar toe te reizen zijn voor ons Ourense, Vigo, Santiago de Compostella. Het gemakkelijkste zou dan zijn om via SAN Sebastián, Bilbao en/of Pamplona en Leon te reizen. Dat lijkt allemaal niet mogelijk volgens de planner. Kunt u ons adviseren over de meest efficiënte en praktische manier om zo dicht bij onze bestemming te komen. We zijn beiden senioren 60+ en het slep

I need help!!I am a student and a bit broke right now. My Mother and Grandma wanted to visit me in England and I booked the tickets for them. A lot went wrong already and I am just done for the day.  the actual problem was when I booked the seat reservation for the Eurostar. The payment just didn’t go through. So I waited and waited and then followed the instructions on the help page and restarted the whole process. Same problem. Then I decided to use my credit card instead of my bank account even though I need to save that money.  and now it went through 3 times 😭😭 I can’t cancel it and I’m not getting a refund on the page. I don’t find a way to contact somebody helpful and I just don’t have the money to pay for 6 Eurostar reservations.  please help me. How can I get the money back, since it was a technical issue and I just followed the interrail instructions  best Jule 

HiI have not purchased an inter rail pass yet. I am hopefully travelling by train to Istanbul I’m looking on various train websites to book travel from London to Paris and Paris to Munich and Munich to Budapest and can’t find anywhere to add an inter rail pass. I don’t seem to be able to use the inter rail pass...Am I missing something  CheersMorgan

Hi,I usually book my reservations through the interrail website and can see them in the Reservation Overview page. However none of the reservations I’ve booked over the last few days show in my reservations overview.I’ve received the actual tickets by email, so they have been processed, but because they are not shown in the overview on the website I can’t cancel any if I need to do so.Any advice gratefully received!
