Train connections & reservations

I get that my pass number and last name do not check, but that is what I have in the confirmation email and thanks to that I have not been able to book my train tickets and have struggled a lot.

Hi, this lovely community has been great help in understanding how to reserve tickets for Eurail passes. I understand that it is possible to reserve seats for travels within Italy via the OBB website. However, I currently hold the One-country Italy only Eurail pass instead of the global version. Since the only discount applicable for Eurail pass on the OBB website is ‘Interail/Eurail - Globalpass’, I was wondering if a One-country Eurail passholder like me will be able to use the OBB site to reserve seats. It will be great if there is someone who can share some insight if the tickets booked on the OBB site mentions anything about ‘Global pass’ as I do not want to get into trouble for booking the wrong tickets. Please help!  

I accidentally booked seat reservation for 27th instead of 28th December trains Paris-Bruxelles with Thalys trains. The train number is the same, departure time is same. My Ticket requires a seat reservation, but it’s not available to reserve anymore for any trains for tomorrow the 28th. Can I still travel ? What will happen, can i prove i bought it, but made a mistake? I know there are still places left since on Thalys it still possible to book, but it cost 150euros for a ride of 1h45. 

We bought an Interrail global ticket (15 days in 2 months). We’re wondering if the price of the seat reservation will be reduced due to our ticket or if they will stay the same? 

Hallo,ich würde gerne unter nightjet.com ein Ticket von Stuttgart Hbf nach Venedig Santa Lucia für den 20.04.23 buchen. Abfahrt in Stuttgart soll um 20:29 Uhr sein. Jetzt musste ich leider feststellen, dass keine Angebote für eine Buchung vorhanden sind. Ich habe mal recherchiert und festgestellt, dass im gesamten Zeitraum vom 11.04.23 - 18.05.23 keinerlei Angebote für eine Ticket Buchung vorhanden sind - egal ob nun Sitzwagen, Liegewagen oder Schlafwagen.  Kann man in diesem Zeitraum keine Tickets buchen oder sind alle Tickets bereits ausverkauft? Viele GrüßeSilvia 

Hello, I'm planning a trip on my interrail journey. Going from Stockholm to Tallinn but i can’t find Tallinn in my interrail app. It's not showing up as possible destination. So im wondering if something is wrong or i'm doing something wrong. Can someone help me out? Thanks in advance!Siem

I recently booked a reservation for Eurostar from Paris to London. I didn’t realize it was a 1st class reservation until I saw it on the ticket that it only valid for 1st class only. I actually did input my Eurail pass number in when booking, so I am not sure why it went through. There is no 2nd class ticket available to exchange. I am currently in Italy and not sure if the ticket office here can help since it is a different train operator. I was wondering if it is possible to pay the difference in price from 2nd to 1st class for reservation from b-europe. Anyone had the same experience? Should I call the customer service or I can just pay the difference at the Paris station? 

Bonjour, je serais intéressée pour faire un tour de l'Italie en aout 2023 mais lorsque je souhaite réserver les trajets en trains aucuns sont disponibles. Or sur la période de janvier il y a beaucoup de propositions, est ce trop tôt ou il y a t’il moins de trajets en saison estivale ? 

Hi - after people thoughts...We need to change TGV and Eurostar reservations from 7 Jan to 8 Jan due to issues with onward travel in the UK on 7 Jan (strike). I contacted customer support as I’d really like to not loose the fees paid already (and having to pay them again with new reservations). A bit warry of the response time - high volume and now holidays too - and some enquiries will be more urgent with folks traveling now. Wondering about going ahead cancelling and rebooking now while there is still availability, and try to deal with fees seperatly ? Or do we have to totally forget about the fees anyway? If we stay in London on the 7th (not ideal as wasn’t planning to pay hotel), we can’t use the pass on 8th for our onward travel (and final destination, where we need to go) as it will more than 2 out/inbound days). The whole trip has been a waste of a pass from start to finish because of the strikes and engineering work 😣 (I have to pay and go to London by bus, 8+hours, instead of

Hi, Ik heb een 2e klas interrail. Kan je hiermee een 1e klas zitplaats boeken? Het gaat om een reservering bij Deutsche Bahn, Keulen -  Bazel. 1e klas is slechts 1,80 duurder dan 2e klas. Gr,Henk

We have tgv seat reservations for next sunday, but the train has been cancelled due to strikes. No rebooking is possible because all alternatieve trains are fully booked. We have to revert to slower local trains. SNCF offers a 20% reimbursement, but we cannot get this because the seats were booked through interrail. How can we be reimbursed by interrail? We cannot find any information on the website.

I’m trying to get seat reservations from paris to london on 12/30. When I’m NOT logged in it shows there is availability but when I login it states there is no price. I’m confused. This is my first time

Hi we're booked from Strasbourg to Paris est on Jan 4th to arrive at 14.05 .…However I've just realised our eurostar booking from Paris nord leaves at 15.13 …Will that be leaving ourselves too short a time to check in for the Eurostar??And can I change my strasbourg booking to an earlier train or do I have to cancel & rebook?? If I have to cancel what is the cancellation fee ??Many thanks 

I just checked availability on a connection on https://www.interrail.eu/de/book-reservationsBecause the critical connection was available, I bought the interrail pass. Now, if I use an incognito tab, the connection is still available, but with the pass, it shows up as “unavailable”.This is, at best, scammy and bait & switch behavior.

Dans l’onglet “My Pass” j’ai accès pour chaque jour de voyage je peux cliquer sur “Show Ticket” et un QR code apparait. Cela suffit-il pour monter à bord des différents trains que je dois prendre?De plus, pour les trains où des réservations de places sont requises, comment dois-je m’y prendre?Merci d’avance. :)

Dears, I am wondering if it is possible to make reservation in advance before buying EURAIL PASS.I heard that some trains require Pass number to make the reservation. Thank you in advance.

Hi everyone, we are planning to travel from Germany (Frankfurt) to Sweden (Stockholm). We bought the mobile pass and now face the same issue that many seem to have: our night train from Stockholm arrives on 03.01. in Hamburg. Afterwards the app doesn’t allow us to add a train to Frankfurt because “our inbound journey took place on the 2nd”. And while we cross the border to Germany somewhen on the 3rd, the last stop of the train before Hamburg is in Denmark at around 11pm. Therefore the trick to split the journey doesn’t work. Attached screenshots of our connection. Does anyone have an idea how to solve this? Many thanks I advance, Tim

Bonjour,J’aurais voulu être éclaircir car j’ai effectué mon voyage sur l’application Rail Planner mais aucune de mess réservations n’apparaient sur mon compte personnelle via le site internet. D’autant que je cherche à réserver les places assises que je dois payer pour certains de mes trains mais je n’y parviens pas. Merci d’avance. 

My train from Paris to London was cancelled, I can’t change the ticket because I can’t travel the days before, and so I have to cancel my hole trip to London…Refunding for Paris-London was possible, as the train was cancelled (the reservation was made with SNCB and no problem).So, what about the way back, London-Lille ? Yes, the train is not cancelled, but… The reservation was made with eurail, which says “No refund”.  Does anybody has any idea for how to get refund ? 

Hi, I am trying to book my journey reservations from London to Edinburgh on 29th December and the eurail website shows that I need to book reservation from ACP website. Also it is mentioned in “more ways to book” that I can use LNER website to book free of cost opposing 10$ fee in ACP rail. I want to know that can I board LNER train with just the seat reservation with my Eurail Global pass as the LNER trains are different timings on the LNER website and when I check the same in on Eurail seat reservations page the timings don’t match. The Eurail website only shows the trains listed on ACP website. I have booked free seat reservation for my journey but will my pass be valid as the same train is not listed on Eurail website only the “ways to book’ section suggests LNER website. 

Hey Guys, a small pretext… I want to go from London to Zurich on 1st January but all the Eurostar trains were sold out from LONDON-PARIS-ZURICH. So I gave some time and found seats in a train from LONDON-BRUSSELS. I am reaching Bruxxeles Midi at 11:15 AM and have reserved this seat. But from Brussels to Zurich there is a train at 12:25 PM from BRUSSELS-FRANKFURT-ZURICH operated by ICE. It says that no seat reservations are required for the same. But other trains like THALYS which require mandatory seat reservations are sold out. So I wanted to know that can ICE train from BRUXXELES-FRANKFURT-ZUERICH HB get full or something and I won’t be able to board at that moment without reservation? Because If this is the case than there would be no other option for me there to get to Zurich and I WILL BOOK THE NON MANDATORY SEAT RESERVATION.But if I can get on the train without any trouble than I will save a few bucks. Please suggest as I am travelling with a Kid and it would be really inconvenie
