Train connections & reservations

My husband and I are heading to europe for our honeymoon, however we wanted to take the sleeper train from Paris to Venice. However, I can’t seem to reserve a spot. Would anyone know if it’s still in service? 

Im going from strasbourg to Geneva on Wednesday Dec 21st. It says seat reservations are optional and available. Should i make one? Or no? If I don’t make one, what happens? And how will I know which seats on the train are taken and reserved and which one I can sit on? thanks!

I'm American, currently in London and booked a hotel for Paris from Dec. 23 - Dec 26..Looking.at regular Eurostar the prices were super expensive. (Last minute trip) I aslo see it doesn't run on the 26th either when mymhotel stay ends. I also had a trip planned to go to Amsterdam Dec 28- Jan 2, so I thought instead of going back to London , I'd go to Belgium in between and book a hotel for the 26th and 27th then head over to Amsterdam.I belive I could get a eurail flexi pass 1month 5 ride ticket that would handle each stop. I am hoping the 'no trains' on  26th is only for Eurostar and I can find some other train to get to Belgium. Would I need reservations into and out of France only(plus 30 fee on each)? Let me know if this the best/ cheapest way to go or if there's a better route. Thanks in advance.

Hi all, I really hope someone can help us! My husband got us a 4 day in a month train pass about a month ago. At the time, we planned to travel on the 17th, so he activated the ticket. However, when we went to make reservations he couldn’t reserve on the 17th and we had to reserve for the 19th instead. He forgot to un activate the train on the 17th and it is now showing he used one of his travel days and we havent gone anywhere! Any help or suggestions would be SO appreciated. 

Dear Sir, May I use my 1st class EUROPASS to onboard Business Premier on EuroStar train ? Do I need to pay additional charge except seat reservation fee ?Thank you for your further guidance. Phil Lu

Sorry if this has been asked before ;-) We have a Global Passes and can see from T&Cs and other questions asked here that our outward journey (Edinburgh to London with LNER, London to Brussels with Eurostar) is covered. My question is simply this - we intend to use the sleeper from Brussels to continue on to Vienna that evening. So my question is - am I right that all that is covered. I am 80% certain and have both Eurostar and Nightjet reservations booked & paid for. It is just that I woke up in the wee small hours this morning with the thought in my mind - what happens of I’m wrong! Any advice will be welcomed and thanks in advance  

hi, i’m having some problems with the reservations of the seats:on the Rail Planner app the price is 12€ for all the classes, on Eurail website the price is still 12€ but when i click on it, it magical become 22€, how is this even possible and how can i fix it?

Hi all,I received email from SNCF on the cancellation of train from Paris Gare De Lyon to Basel SBB. The issue is SNCF suggested to contact the "original selling point" for reschedule or refund and in this case, i had my seat reservation from eurail. Question:1. Can i get refund or reshedule the existing seat reservation?2. If yes, what is the process and who should I contact? For both reschedule and refund?Thank you.

I am planning a few days travel around Spain in Jan/Feb and looking at routes and reservations. I have seen plenty of information about how to book reservation etc, but am struggling to find which trains do NOT need reservations! This is even trickier as I know the planner timetable is not fully accurate for Spain!Can anyone advise which trains / routes in Spain can be taken without making any reservation? I am particularly interesting in the South, but be good to see all options! 

Hi I’m trying to escape the London heat to Paris and beyond!Specifically I’m trying to book a seat reservation on b-europe and finding almost none, while on Eurostars site they show plenty of availability for new ticketsThe call center is refusing calls and offering a 28 day response period to email inquiriesI stay somewhat outside of London and can’t easily get to the station to ask in personany help greatly appreciated!

Hi, I am trying to book seat reservations for the Eurostar on Monday 12th December. Paris to London. It keeps saying trains are not available for that date. I can book up to Saturday the 10th but not Monday the 12th. I Have been trying for two weeks now. Looking for help

Hi all - looks like there are no seat reservations available from London to Paris on December 16th. We can go any time on December 16th, or any time after 5pm on December 15th. We have 2 Eurail global passes and have managed to reserve all other trains.  Are there any alternative routes? I’m looking for other options than the $260 ticket from Eurostar :( 

Hi, I did not know about how to book reservations and I just added Paris to London train for 26th December to my pass. But now it is showing that reservation not available and its unavailable for 24th, 25th and 26th December for any time. Is it because the Eurostar train is sold out or is it that the train is not operated on these dates. are there any alternatives for me? Plese help. Also when I added the train to my pass it gave me a QR code. Will I be able to get any help at the station itself with that QR? or maybe board the train without reservation and just the QR code.

I’m trying to use my Global 1 month Eurail pass to book a train on Trainline.com but dont see how to add my pass? The train isnt showing available on Eurail.com but is available on Trainline.com.  Travelling from Paris to Milan.   Thx

i would like to buy the baden-wurttenberg tickets for 1 day to travel around stuttgart, wondering how i can use that to save some money to travel to frankfurt on the same day? (with a top up of course but i am not quite sure how to do it)can it be used on the ICE or other high speed that runs from Mannheim to frankfurt?Else i can buy a Quer-durchs-Land ticket, but i do not see any local connections from Stuttgart to Frankfurt on 15th Dec?Can someone help me pls

I know that Eurail timetable has a low frequency update rate, however, the timetable was updated 3 days ago and most of the trains from the planner doesn't match with trains from National Railway. Hence, I don't know if the planner is capturing trains that the National Railway doesn't or if the planner has trains that doesn't exist.

Hi - I purchased two tickets on my laptop at the ÖBB site. I have since downloaded the OBB app and do not see any way to move the tickets to the app. Is this possible? And, we are traveling during the holidays and would like to ensure we sit together. I have read several posts here about reserving seats, but no mention of selecting seats. Is that not possible? Is it first come first serve on seats? Thanks very much for any help! 

Hi everyone, I have a journey booked from London to Zermatt (Switzerland) on Saturday 17th of December and have booked reservations for three trains (not required for other bits of the journey). I’ve just received an email saying my eurostar will leave 40 mins after it was originally planned. This means that I will miss the next legs of the journey. I have two questions: Will my TGV reservation be valid on the next available train? Am I able to get a full refund for my reservations now the first leg has changed?I’m having a bit of trouble contacting anyone on this so would really appreciate any advice.  Thanks,  Tilly  

I booked seat reservations for all of my travel plans of next weekend and never received confirmation of payment or the tickets but the money was taken out of my account. Where are my seat reservations?!!!!! At this pace of interrail induced mistakes I feel like flying Ryanair might not be so uncomfortable after all! 😡🤬😡😡😡

My family and I are trying to book the 3-day tickets for Top of Europe with our Eurail pass but the website lists the dates we’re going to (December 22-25) as ‘unavailable’ even though they said tickets would be available by December 11 2022. In fact, all the dates seem to be unavailable. Is there another way to book tickets for this?

I want to book a compartment with DB, I can see that a compartment is available to book so that’s fine, but we are only 5 people and there are 6 seats. Is there any way of reserving more seats than people?

Hi all.  i am new to the forum. Travelling with the family to Paris from Munich later this month. Have a connection at Mannheim where I go from ICE to TGV. Have to get there is just over ten minutes. I can’t find where it lists what platform I need to go to. Can anyone help or is the platform decided on the day?

Hey Guys, I am new here and I just won an Interrail Global Pass and in the Letter that came with it it says that reservations are somehow included in the Pass... Is that so? I could mit find anything to that specifically.Thank you 

Hey all, we are looking ahead for our Europe trip to get everything booked ahead of time. So the Paris to Munich train is typically around 6 hours. Everything in that time frame (Sept 23) we look at is 14 hours long. Is it because it’s too early and the rail companies haven’t added there schedules fully yet? Any help would be very appreciated!
