Train connections & reservations

hi, actually i m holding Eurail global mobile pass and i want to book seat reservation for attached journey, MARNE LA VALLEE CHESSY (France) to Schiphol Airport on 27/11, but it shows price unavailable. Nonetheless, i check from Thalys website ( as attached), the train is not full,Q1) Can i go to Schiphol airport counter and reserve my seat when we reach on 17/11?Q2) If i aldy secure seat for other timing, is it possible to change to another time slot? or seat reservation is not refundable & exchangeable? ThanksQ3) Can I top up the diff 1st class and 2nd class as 1st class seat are still available. Thanks  

Hi,Everytime I try and make a reservation I am able to select one but then immediately taken to this second screen (as seen in second pic) with no option to add item to cart. It seems to do this with every option I choose!Also, not sure if I’m just being entirely stupid (most likely! 😅) but are you able to book and pay for reservations via the app or do you have to go to the website? I am currently doing it via the website as there is no option to do so on the app.Thanks in advance :) 

I have been trying to make a seat reservation from Zurich to Paris (TGVLyria) direct train for July 26th departing at 3:35pm. I am able to add this reservation to the cart, but cannot proceed further when I click on the link “Continue to Traveler Details” clicking on this does nothing and takes me back to the main page. I have tried multiple browsers and the app on my iphone same thing happens. Can anybody please help and let me know what other way I can secure this booking?When I click the link “Continue to traveler details” it tries to load something and then goes to the page below and shows my Cart empty. 

Hello. I have a global pass and want to book 2 -one way for my husband and I from Vienna to Berlin. If I buy through Eurail, it appears I get a 1st class seat but I don't get to choose my actual seat? Is that correct?However, if I book through bohn.com, I get to.choose my actual seat? And do I buy a seat only? Is my pass my ticket but my reservation my assigned seat? I am so confused!

Hello, I have a global pass and I’m going home on Sunday from Bratislava to Torino (Italy). It is quite a long journey, so it obviously include changes. I am an Italian resident, and I would need to change trains twice in Italy (Verona and Milano), but in the app it still shows as one journey Bratislava-Torino. Can I do that or can I only travel to Verona and then have to pay for the tickets from there? I tried to contact Trenitalia (Italian railway company) but they say only ticket offices can give me that information, and I don’t have the chance to get to one until I’m actually back to Italy. I will do that when I need to change in Verona, but I was wondering if someone had a similar experience or can clarify this for me. Thank you very much in advance 💗

I selected all my reservations and entered payment details, after clicking “Pay” is loops back to asking me to enter payment details. I tried various browsers and different credit cards. Same issue. How do I resolve this?These are the seats:Am I doing something wrong? Resolved. The card required 3D authentication.

We have been trying to book an online reservation on eurail website but cannot complete payment. Everytime we enter the credit card information and press “pay”, the page refreshes without completing the transaction. 

Hi all! So, I’m currently interrailing and I’m in Istanbul. In a few days I will hop on the train going from Istanbul to Sofia. From there, I would like to reach Belgrade, and then Bar via night train from Bel to Bar. The problem is: the transport situation between Sofia and Belgrade is messy to say the least. On the Internet I’ve read that a viable route would be: Sofia-Dimitrovgrad-Niš-Beograd, although some websites state that the train from Niš is daily and departs (11:25) before the one the one from Dimitrovgrad arrives (11:30 or 12:27, depending on the website).I’m not even sure this train exists. Other alternatives apparently are Sofia-Beograd by bus or Dimitrovgrad-Niš by bus and then Niš-Beo by train again, since this part of the trip is quite easy. Can someone help me?

Hello,I’m trying to make a seat reservation on eurostar form Paris to London on the b-europe.com site. It is asking me for my pass cover number which I don’t have because I have a mobile pass, rather than a paper one (however I don’t see anywhere that you can’t travel on eurostar with a mobile pass?). Is it possible to get a pass cover number with a mobile pass? Thanks!

Hi ppl!Do you know how to buy the seat reservation from Plovdiv to Istanbul? 

I purchased 2 seat reservations through OBB for Milano Centrale to Firenze SMN 11th of Dec. This is supposedly for a travel day. I indicated in the booking that we will be using our global pass. Paid 20 euros for them. Our plans have changed and we do not wish to use a travel day for this trip. Below are my questions:1. Since I indicated in the booking that we will use our global passes, that means we don't actually have tickets and just have seats, correct?2. If number one is correct, how do I go about purchasing tickets for the same train and not make seat reservations since we already have the seats?I hope you could help. This is our first Europe trip. Hello, I'd like to reserve a seat through Eurail Pass I'm booking a seat for the train from Switzerland to Italy, but there are three options. There was only one option for the other reservation section. But Euro City have three price like that. The price are all the same, so I think 2 class priority will be a gain, but I can't make a reservation without certainty..Please answer me regarding this seat selection🥲

Hi All, First time traveller to Europe and looking forward to it very much with my wife in January, We have purchased a global pass and i am looking to book the train from London to Bruges, but it looks like the timetable for Bruges trains in the first week of January are not currently available, Does anyone have an idea when tehy will be loaded and available in the system? or should we not worry and just reserve our spot on the London to Brussels train for now and do the Brussels to Bruge laterThank all for your help in advanceBrenton & Sharon

Hi, if I buy a one country pass for Switzerland, to return to Italy on a border section (BRIG-DOMOSSOLA in Italy) am I covered by the pass?

Last year we got the NightJet from Innsbruck to Cologne to then get the ICE to Brussels (both prebooked and reserved)We missed our connection by less than 10 minutes and got the next available ICE 2 hours later.There would have been a Thalys an hour earlier. Could we have got this one as the next train at no extra cost? The staff at the Deutsche Bahn Info desk didn’t seem to think so but then he was Deutsche Bahn. The NightJet is with Interrail ticket this time but the ICE connection will be booked without IR. 

Is my first interrail, and im very lost.i need information on how to book the trains, and what do i have to do if i have to book the trains on the station (as i read in Bulgaria) where do we have to pay?

Hello, we want to reserve seats on a night train that goes from Cluj-Napoca to Bucharest but we have an error message:"Prices unavailable. No fares were found for this route. HiI am trying to find a sensible route from Northern Italy/Switzerland back to Paris at the end of my month long pass planned for next April, with the aim that this can be covered in a day or two day max. I am happy for this to be High speed and require reservations. Just prior to this I intend to have a few days in Switzerland in and around the routes of Bernina and Glacier express, though probably local trains rather than scenic routes. So for example I will not be far from Milan as a starting point.Or I could step off from Switzerland back to Paris.Can any one suggest possible routes?ThanksMalcolm

hi i booked a travel ticket from milano rogoredo to Firenze S.M.Novella on 08/01/2023 at 13:20. but i realized i made a mistake i wanted book a ticket from Milano centrale not a Rogoredo. Can I change my ticket? 

Hi All,I’ve been wanting to reserve a seat on the overnight train between Prague and Budapest on the 6th of Jan. On the cd.cz website, all trains are available to purchase/reserve except the overnight train departing at 10.43. This train also doesn’t seem to be showing up on any other websites e.g. raileurope.  I was just wondering if anyone knew how to reserve this train or why I am unable to yet?   

I know there is a direct euro city connection but neither the interrail website nor the app will show it.  I know I need a reservation for part of the journey but first I need the journey to exist ;-/ Also why do DB not allow first class pass holder in their lounges :-(

According to Bulgarian train website currently the schedule is set till 10.12. We are planning to take the train on the 23 at night and now are wondering if trains are still going in winter? Any one know about the winter schedule of the trains? Also, is it possible that Nighttrains from Buccharest to Vienna can only be booked one months in advance? I noticed that after that tickets are available till the 8th of december, but are not available after.

English (german below/Deutsch unten)I understand that you have 2 travel days to get out of country and to get back into your country (of residence). My Plan is to use IC40600 from Karlsruhe to Hamburg and then moving from Hamburg to Kobenhaven. The Train departs at 23.06 and apparently there for those 54 minutes are my travelday inside my country of residence. (and german trains are never punctual). Is it actually necessary that I book a later train? So wie ich es verstehe hat man 2 Reisetage um in und aus dem Wohnsitzland zu reisen. Ich würde gerne den IC40600 von Karlsruhe nach Hamburg nutzen und anschliessend von Hamburg nach Kopenhagen fahren. Der Zug fährt um 23.06 ab und dadurch wird anscheinend jener Tag bzw jene 54 min als dieser Reisetag angezeigt. Ist es tatsächlich notwendig jetzt ne Stunde später den zug zu nehmen? Ist ja ziemlich unlogisch gemacht. Dauernd alles flexibel reden aber 0-24 uhr einstellen statt ein 24 stündiges zeitfenster. Totaler quatsch.
