Train connections & reservations

Hi all,Trying to book seat reservations for the TGV Lyria from Geneva to Paris on 1 Jan with my Eurail first class pass, but after logging in to my account, it only lets me select second class. However, I see first class as an option on the Eurail website when not logged in. Would appreciate the help in getting a first class seat reservation.

I'm sure that the answer to this has already been answered but here goes ;I reserved 2 first class seats on an Avanti West Coast train to London Euston. The seats allocated are not acceptable but the company say they cannot change them and suggest I contact rail staff on the day of travel who may be able to help.My question is this; Is there any way of selecting your seat from a seating plan akin to that on aircraft travel?

I am trying to add a journey to my trip in France (called Nomad train). I dont need a reservation.The app doesn't put the trains that usually travel between the 2 cities I wanna travel. There is no solution to take another train to come home.On the France app Oui sncf, we can still buy tickets between those 2 cities and I ALREADY USED interrail for this same train between the 2 cities 2 months ago.How can I do to add this journey when it doesnt exist in the app?Moderator note: correction to information above; as checked with SNCF you do need a reservation for this train. 

Hey all, I have purchased 2 euarail passes for myself and my partner to travel this coming December and Janurary. I am struggling to get seat reservations for France and would appreciate any help you can provide! I have read pretty much every post in this community but I keep coming to dead ends.  I am trying to book TGV trains from Strasbourg to Brussels and Paris to Bordeuax (return). I have so far tried calling SNCF to book and had no luck, I have also tried booking through b-europe but had no luck for booking these trains (was only able to book my thalys trains this way). For some reason the Rail Planner App only has trains available up until the 10th of December and I cannot book any of the trains I need for my holiday through here.  Does anyone know an alternative way to book? Or when the rail planner app will have the dates available? I am getting worried I will have no way of reaching my destinations due to trains being booked out during the Christmas and New Years periods.  Th

Part of our planning for a 3 week train tour of certain European countries is knowing the time it talked between cities.  How do we find the train schedules that define those lapsed times?

Hi. Im in Paris and can't book a seat reservation via the interrail website to Marseille (22€). I don't wanna spend about 130€ on a normal ticket. What can i do?

Any ideas of how to make a reservation for the Brussels - Marseille TGV on 27 December?Scnf has trains for sale but doesn't do passholder reservations.B-europe doesn't appear able to sell the reservation.The interrail reservation service doesn't have the trains yet for some odd reason.

In Athens to Thessaloniki, eurail states that it needs to reserve seats. Its website cannot reserve. And its how to ask us to book online. Then it's local train web site doesn't have this pass actually. So you MUST go to the train station counter for this. I dont understand how difficult it is to update this piece of important nformation in nowadays information world. It can be very hectic to find it out. So just a tips for the others.

Hi community,What should I fill in the first two fields that I highlight in green in the following image, when I request that reservations be sent to a Hostel.For example, can I put the name of the hostel in the first field and my name in the second field?:First Field: Hostel YYYYSecond Field: My full names and surnames: Iván Fernando Peluha. As a shipping address I would put the Hostel in Spain.This is how it should be processed? I must validate this because if I fill it out wrong I can lose the reservation.   I’ll be waiting for an answer and thank you very much.

Hi there, Travelling from Australia next year I am looking at train travel from Zagreb to Treviso and it has a 3.5 hour stopover in Villach around 1am.  Is this safe?  Is there a lounge? Can you stay at the station?  Any information would be appreciated.   thank you.

Hi! I’m currently in Dijon and heading to Rueil-Malmaison today.The only trains that are available for reservation have me arriving past 18:00 and i’d really like to arrive earlier, even if it means taking the regional train for a lot longer travel time. I haven’t done a reservation-free trip in France yet, so I’d like someone to check my work and maybe offer suggestions if I’m missing anything? QUESTIONS -what’s the best way to receive the most up to date train updates for reservation-free trips in France? I was using the SNCF website and toggled only TER and Bus (I need to take a bus to Rueil-Malmaison and i know i need to pay for that). Is there another way I can check since Railplanner doesn’t update often? I worry because we’ve been advised here not to use Railplanner, but without Railplanner as an initial check, I wouldn’t clearly know what Train lines are regional or not.  I can just hop on any France TER train without a seat reservation? Just verifying if someone has time to do

Hey, my travel buddy is french and eventually, we end up in London and want to take the Eurostar to Amsterdam. Even though it´s a direct train we inevitably travel through France. Does it count as an inbound or even in- and outbound journey for her, although the final destination is Amsterdam and not any french city?Cheers, Marius

Hi, I hope I can get some help with the following questions.I understand that when travelling on a night train, I will only have to use 1 travel day (the day of departure). However, for the Halkali - Sofia night train, where there is a need to disembark at Kapikule for passport control, is the train ride still counted as one travel day? Also, on the Rail planner, the currently available itinerary for the Halkali - Sofia route consists of a train change at Plovdiv. Does anyone know if the direct train that departs at 2240 (during winter) is still running? I have reserved a sleeper cabin on a NightJet that departs the station at 2313. Should there be a delay in the departure time of the train such that it departs after 2359, do I have to use another travel day or will the original date be taken as my travel day?I have bought a 7-day flexible pass and my current travel plan unfortunately does not leave room for any buffer day so your answers would help me determine if there is a need to m

Hello everyone! I’m hoping someone will have some tips or advice for me! My fiancé and I are traveling through France, Switzerland and the Netherlands. We are from the USA and bought Eurail Global passes. We were able to get seat reservations except for the Paris-Amsterdam Thalys train on 11/6/22. I’m stressed out about it! We won’t be in France until 11/3 to go to the train station and buy one in-person and I’m worried they will run out. SNCF is showing that there are still seats, but I heard they won’t book seat reservations from a pass over the phone, and I’ve tried multiple websites. Is there anything I can do? It’s frustrating because I would not have bought the passes had I known this would be such a big issue.  Thank you in advance! 

I am trying to book a train ticket using my mobile pass for Dec 14 from Pisa to Rome. I tried using OBB site but I can't find the leg that I can see using trenitalia site. Is there any other way that I can book this trip using a pass? How do I do it? Help please...

Does anybody know when timetables will be passed on from railways to Rail Planner? Trying to book on Deutsche Bahn (Germany) and SNCF (France) but getting an error message saying Rail Planner is still waiting for a timetable update from the railways. However SNCF opened for bookings over a week ago and Deusche Bahn opened today so one would think data would be available.Thanks!

Hello,I booked for tomorrow morning for the Milan-Geneve train at 8:20 am and I did not receive an email with my e-ticket.I can’t reach customer service. I don’t know what to do, I absolutely have to take this train because I have 3 more during the day (it’s my day back).Without ticket in Italy we cannot go to the dock.Thanks

I have tried online, books and various chats, including national train companies and nobody seems to know how to travel from central europe (Germany or Austriafor example) to Serbia. Hello everyone, I’m new to Interrail and I’m planning my trip. I’m thinking about booking through national rail companies website to book. I was wondering if I have to do something for my Pass, because my trip will not be available on my Rail Planner app. Do I have to link my reservations to my Pass on the app ?I will also be using ferries websites to book thanks to the promo code. Do you know If that’s counting as a travel day or if any of the seat reservations not made on Interrail ? Thanks a lot for helping !

Hi everyone, I'm planning to go from Berlin to Copenhagen and this night train seems very convenient but I don't understand if that'd use one or two travel days? I'd get in the night train on the 30th, arrive on the 31st in Denmark and then would have to take a connection on the 31st, would that be one or two travel days?Thanks in advance  

HalloMein Name ist Rampi, Ich reise nächsten April 2023 mit dem Interrail Global Pass 3 Tage nach Paris 4 Tage London 4 Tage Brüssel und 4 Tage München start ist in Basel. Ich habe versucht gestern bei der SBB nur einen Sitzplatz zu reservieren für den Eurostar von Paris nach London am 17.4.2023 und die Strecke London-Brüssel am 21.4 aber er hatte kein Suchergebnis das gleiche auch auf der Interrail Webseite . Meine FrageIst es weil der Fahrplan von Eurostar noch nicht draussen ist oder weil alles schon ausgebucht ist obwohl erst 6 Monate vor Reise gebucht werden kann das alles ausgebucht ist nur Sitzplaätze?| Könnt ihr mir Links geben wo ich nur Sitzplätze reservieren kann bsp bei Eurostar direkt?Kann man bei Eurostar auswählen ob man 2eir Plätze oder 4 Plätze möchte ? Geht das auch am Schalter von SBB Sncf ?Ich hoffe jemand kann mir eine Antwort geben 

As the trip around Balkans is not factible, my friends and me are looking for a new route.We have thought about going:Venice-MunichMunich-VienaViena-LiublianaLiubliana-Zagreb and back home. But we don´t know exactly if there is a good comunication between Viena-Liubliana or Italy-Munich. We try to search for the itinerary of the trains but we don’t find nothing. I suppose that it can be because we are planning the trip for next summer.If someone could help me, I would be so pleased. Thank you!
