Train connections & reservations

Hello here :)I am planning my trip between Lausanne and Interlaken, but I found out it is Not in Pass Network.Would you know how can I solve it without paying any further fees?Thank you!Tanvire

I can put a seat reservation into my shopping cart, but every time I go to check out and accept terms and conditions I get:Please try to find an alternative connection. The unavailable leg will be removed from your cart.So I can’t purchase.If I cancel the reservation, I can still rebook it (i.e. it isn’t unavailable) but it always fails at checkout

The train I want to travel on says in respect of reservations -Prices unavailableNo price results were found. Pass holder reservations may be sold out for this connection, but there are other ways to check for available seats—more info below our timetable.Reservations are not compulsory however.Can I travel on this train or not? If there are no pass holder reservations, does this mean that no further pass holders can travel or just that they are not guaranteed a seat.

HelloI’m new to this but would like to spend Christmas travelling a little of Europe using mainly the OBB night jet to sleep in and then explore the city I arrive in next day.  Is this viable over Christmas?  Would it be advisable to stay in a hotel the nights 24/12 and 25/12?Is everything closed Christmas Day and the following day including transport in Austria, Germany, Croatia?If I buy the Global ticket is it really cheaper? Is  Eurostar covered by a Global ticket?  I guess it’s better to book once I’ve put the journey together but if the train is late and I miss the connection (mainly Brussels to say Munich) what happens then?If I’ve understood the site correctly you can book hotels via this ticket?  Is that right?  Does the mobile pass have the same facilities as the Global pass?Sorry to ask so many questions but I wanted answers from experienced people so I can confirm my understanding is correct from what I’ve researched online so far. 

Hi, I want to reserve the ticket from Paris to Barcelona on January 1st, 2023 but there's no train on this day, when will the timetable be updated?

Hi Everyone, I attempted to reserve seats for January 2023 however all routes are showing as the timetable has not been released. However, when I go directly to the rail company websites such as OBB, they are available to purchase on there. Does anyone know why this is?I wanted to reserve a seat on an overnight train and am a bit worried if it’s available on the direct website that it will sell out. 

I have purchased a eurail pass, and am now trying to book seat reservations! However, the train time options coming up in my search in the app, are then not showing as options when I go to book seat reservations on the website!! Why is this?Thanks in advance!!

Hello, I am having a Eurail Global Pass 7 days. I want to book Eurostar on Oct 31 2022 from London to Paris but Eurail website seat reservation is showing UNAVAILABLE  On B Europe I am able to find seats but it is asking for Pass Cover Number which I have generated online.But there is a small note in the footer of “where can i find pass cover number?” - it shows where to look for pass cover number but also says valid only for paper pass and not for digital pass I am confused - can I book this ticket using the pass cover I generated online - Pls note:  I have mobile pass and not paper pass Pls suggest asap kindly Thanks so much!!!! Satbeer

Hi everyone,I recently made a seat reservation for Venice to Salzburg (via Villach) for the 22nd of December, and I thought I had done everything right, costing the 10 euro fee etc. I found it a bit odd that it didn’t require any information. Once I downloaded the pdf, I realised there was absolutely no information on it at all? As in the time, stations, the whole rail journey is missing? I’m assuming this makes the ticket not valid. Is there anyone I could contact to fix this?Thank you!

I have a train from amsterdam centraal to berlin hbf but the book reservation site says that one of the legs can’t be booked although Rail Planner says it is not required to book a seat. Can someone help me?

Alguien sabe si llegando a la oficina de Eurail en Chamartín podemos comprar el pase global de 10 días? y si ahí mismo puedo hacer las reservas de todos los trenes que requiero para mi viaje (España, Francia e Italia)? Gracias por su valiosa ayuda!!!!

We will be traveling through and within Netherlands, Germany, France and the UK in Dec/Jan. How long before the train departs do we generally need to be at train station?  Will it matter if its within a country or between different countries?Presumable there is security to clear especially if changing countries, is this correct?

I'm in the train and the conducteur said I needed a reservation. In the app nothing was said about a reservation (not required or recommended) what do I need to do? 

En la app de Eurail, cuando busco trayectos para hacer, en algunos casos no figura reserva requerida pero sí aparece la leyenda "se aplican condiciones". Qué significa esto? Qué condiciones son necesarias para tomar ese tren? Gracias. 

hi everyone,I desperately need to reserve a seat on this connection between Avignon and Madrid on the 23rd of October. The checkout function does not allow me to purchase a ticket and calling the French and Spanish railway was no help either. They all advise me to just see if I can get a ticket at the station. Is there no way to make a seat reservation when you don't live in either France or Spain? Does anyone have tips or suggestions? It would be much appreciated!Best,Jesper.

Hello, I’m trying to book my frist day of travel with interrail. I’m quite late to book my train, but thats not the problem.I want to go from my hometown to Southamton England, but I can’t book any trains out of the country. For example:Lingen - Bruxells Midi: this connection is not possible even if all trains are free I cant bookBruxells Midi - London St. Pancras Intl: perfectly possible. Of course some fees, but no problem Also any other connection Starting in Germany is not possible to book. I’ve tried many. What am I doing wrong? Thank you in advance.

Hello.I have just got Interrail passes for all the family to get to the UK at Christmas.  I want to book the Eurostar now, as I am worried that the limited tickets will disappear.  But I need a pass number.  I believe the pass number is shown on the paper passes, but not on the e-passes?  Which seems a bit silly!  I have sent a message asking eurail to confirm my pass numbers.  Today is Saturday.  When do you think they will respond?  Do you think I will have an answer by Monday??  Otherwise I may phone the 30 cents a minute B-europe booking line….Thank You!

Good day to you all.I’m preparing to take a morning train from Berlin Hof to Celle, Germany. Let’s say between 7 AM and 9 AM. This would be in late October. I see ICE (InterCity Express) train leaving Berlin Hof. I take it this a high-speed or bullet train. I have the Mobile Global Pass. On Eurail.com, it says seat reservation is not required. I see 1st class seat is 8 Euros. 2nd class seat is also 8 Euros. Is there a need to buy a seat reservation? Or, it’s not expected to be busy at this time?I understand I can check how busy the train is on the bahn.com site but I’m having trouble finding where precisely it lists how busy the train is. I will be carrying hand-luggage with me, as well. I was hoping to store it in a luggage locker at the Celle station. Are there any luggage lockers at the Celle station which can store hand-luggage? Maybe this question should be moved to a new topic.Thank you for any help!

Railplanner app suggests going via Vidin, but there is only 27 min transfer time. Based on limited experience on Bulgarian Rail, this is too short a time for a 4hr plus journey. Has anyone any experience of this route connection？ Any alternative suggestions？thx

Yesterday I bought mobile Interrail passes for myself and my wife and went off straight away to the SNCB site https://www.b-europe.com/EN/Booking/Pass#TravelWish to successfully buy Eurostar reservations London - Paris which were fast selling out for December 17th!I am now looking at going to https://travel.b-europe.com/Eurail-GE/en/booking-tgv#TravelWish to secure onward TGV reservations.I bought the reservations even though the SNCB site said something like ‘paper pass only’ but I had ONE generated pass cover number which I used against the purchase of both my wife and my own passes.I have now read at How do I book my seat reservations? | Interrail.eu “Paper Pass only - Via SNCB: domestic and international trains (Thalys and Eurostar)” and I am getting a little concerned because I think to myself “How could Interrail and SNCB sites both not be updated to reflect what was in my head about the status quo regarding using SNCB for mobile passes?”So questions arise:Are the Eurostar reserv

There is a November 3 sleeper train leaving from Zurich to Vienna at 21:40 and arriving at 6:34 that looks to be completely sold out. Cannot even reserve a seat, let alone a sleeper, which is what I wanted.Is there a waiting queue for those who want a seat or sleeper reservation such that if a person possibly cancels a seat or sleeper reservation, I can come in as an alternate, akin to an alternate Olympian or a player coming off the bench? Or, this is basically a dead-end. Once it’s sold out, it’s done and just move on?I tried OBB, SBB, DB, etc. Nothing. I tried checking to see if I can a seat or sleeper reservation leaving from Vaduz, Lichtenstein to Vienna and that was sold out, too. It might be the same exact train and Vaduz is one stop along the path. I could be wrong.---In the meantime, I’m going to reserve 14:40 and 16:40 seat reservations from Zurich to Vienna. 15 Euro business class seats for a total of 30 Euros. I am planning to travel this from Domodossola to Locarno this week, with a Eurail first class.I know I can book a seat on the website. I looked and many trains for the day I want have none or just 1 or 2 seats available. The seat map show a mix of “reserved” and “not available.”Does anyone know if all seats are reserved? Or are only some reserved, so its still likely there will be free seats even if you can’t  / don’t reserve in advance?Thanks!
