Train connections & reservations

I am trying to plan my trip starting at December 22, but every platform, both the interrail site and app, give the notification that they dont have the train times for these dates yet. The times of the Thalys for example are already on their website but they are still missing on the Interrailwebsite. Does anyone know when these will be published? Or if you can just plan them with websites of the local trainsystem? Thanks!

Hi all: I am catching this train tomorrow. I have seat reservation for number 2365. As you can see  in Strasbourgh I have a short transfer ( 10 minutes). My question is if I miss that train at 11:21 from strasbourg to Basel, am I able to add journey in rail planner for another train scheduled for the same day. I have global euro rail pass 7 days in a month. Secondly are there passport control on either Paris east station or Strasbourg? Shall I be at  station in Paris two hours before departure or if passport control is in strasbourg  

Hello, tomorrow I want to travel from Marseille St Charles to Madrid-Puerta De Atocha with Train RSC 9731.Because it was planned at short notice I went to the ticket office at the train station in Marseille. Unfortunately, it was not possible for me to reserve a seat for the train tomorrow. I could only buy a ticket with a seat but since I already have the Interrail ticket I only need a seat. Unfortunately, there is no way to book the seat reservation online or via the app. What am I doing wrong? What option do I have now? Best regards, Max

Hello, I am wondering why multiple routes leaving from Geneva are no longer showing up on the app or the website despite the routes still running (e.g. Geneva-Lyon mid-morning departures 9:30, 11:30, 12:25; all Geneva-Paris direct trains). I was able to see them a few weeks ago for the same dates in late October. How should we get seat reservations if the routes don’t show up on the timetable anymore? I also tried to look for seat reservations on travel.b-europe but Geneva is no longer an option.

I bought global mobile pass.And I know ‘avignon-Barcelona’ and ‘Barcelona-Paris’ need seat reservation, but the seat reservation tickets only deliver by post and I can’t receive the tickets.So i wondered if I go to the station to book those sections in person in mid-August, will there be enough seats? (Both ‘Avignon-Barcelona’ and ‘Barcelona-Paris’)

Hi all,I would like to travel from Geneva to Paris on Friday, October 7 and I have a reservation for the TGV 9770, leaving Geneva at 12:29. While the train is displayed regularly in the SNCF timetable, according to the DB timetable the TGV 9770 only leaves from Bellegarde (and not Geneva) between October 4 and October 9. A few days ago, the train was displayed regularly in the DB timetable as well.I am a bit worried about this because I have to catch a connection in Paris. Does anyone have any information whether the TGV will run from Geneva?Thanks a lot and best regards,amadeu

Good morning. I am a spanish touriste, and I am looking for any train route that goes from Skopje to Budapest. I have been looking for it on many web pages but i couldnt find any thing that helps me. Also, I want to ask if this internacional train can be used with my interrail pass, or I need a reservation and if I need it, how I could do this reservation. Thank you for your time and I am looking forward to your answer. 

Hii! In about a week I am in Norway. But I noticed that when I wanted to reserve seats, like on the train to Stavanger from Oslo, or Oslo to Bergen, it all needs a reservation delivered by post? I'm ofcourse not home... I am traveling since the first op september so how do I fix this?

Anybody visiting UK (or using inbound/outbound days) and intending to use the East coast line operated by LNER a reservation is strongly advised and at busy times may be compulsory. These are available free of charge at any UK station or can be pre-ordered from the LNER site if you set up an account, During booking the reservation it asks for a ticket reference but the system accepts a 0 and you simply declare you have a valid ticket.LNER operate from London Kings Cross which is adjacent to the Eurostar St Pancras terminus. Trains go to York, Leeds, Durham Newcastle and Edinburgh (and a few beyond).

Hi, m currently on  night train from Paris that was due to terminate at Nice. Due to an accident it is 2h delayed and terminating early at Marseille. We were due to travel from Nice to Genoa today but will now miss our original connections. How do we ensure onward travel to Nice (and Genoa) without extra cost? Is there any compensation for the delay/not arriving at the intended destination? Using the 5 days in 1 month pass. Many thanks in advance for any suggestions!Jordan

We’ve been traveling on our two month global pass, and the time it nearing to get back home in Portugal. We are currently in Bordeaux, France. We went to the station to make reservations for a trip back to Portugal next week, and the agent tells us all the trains in and out of Madrid (we have to go through Madrid) are FULLY BOOKED ALL OF NEXT WEEK? He said maybe a bus or a flight is our best option.Has anyone else had this experience?

Hello,I took outbound/inbound Thalys tickets with interrail. Both have been cancelled by Thalys, and are to be exchanged or refunded according to Thalys, but Interrail refunds only 75% of the ticket.What is the procedure be refunded 100% of the ticket price ?Regards

Hi.  I’m booked on the Nightjet from Budapest to Zurich on October 8th at 20:40.  I received an email from ÖBB saying there was a timetable change due to construction but I can’t work out what the change is….was on hold with ÖBB for an hour today before finally getting an answerphone so that’s useless….can anyone help with what time this train actually leaves please!

hi, i am planning an upcoming trip and have some basic questionsFor the longer trips, e.g. Como to Venice and Verona to Munich, does it make sense to buy the tickets ahead? not sure if prices will go up nearing to my travels in Dec for short trips like Milan to Como, Venice to Verona, do i also have to buy the ticks like now? or can i wait till closer to the travelling dates?am not in EU, so not so sure about ticket prices movementsand am travelling with 2 kids, so with COVID and all, just wanted to make sure there are certainty before i go ahead with these bookingsany advice pertaining to this will be much appreciated

My partner and I are currently stuck in Cologne. Our connecting train to Brussels that would bring us to London has been cancelled.  Further, we didn’t realize we couldn’t buy a seat reservation from Brussels to London day-of. Not that it matters anymore now. We’re considering getting the 12:42 PM from Cologne to Paris, Paris to London. Can we still get on the train without reservations? Sitting on the floor is fine with us. 

Hi, I bought train tickets for 1. Venezia to Firenze, 2. Firenze to Roma, 3. Roma to Wien, and 4. Amsterdam to London. I bought them yesterday and received your confirmation email containing only the tickets for the first three trips, I wondered if my last trip (Amsterdam to London) will be generated and sent to me today. I also tried to login into my Eurail account, all tickets except Amsterdam to London could be downloaded.

Hi, like everybody else, I have been having hard time finding a seat on any dates - it says prices unavailable and I should go to a ticketing office. What’s the chance of being able to secure a seat at a ticketing office at station? Is it more likely to secure than booking online? Also Do I have to buy at a full price then instead of pass holder price?I was planning to go to Paris then all the way down to Madrid with my global pass. I appreciate your advice!

Hello, Which is the best website to book a night train seat reservation from Budapest to Ljubljana? I was checking CD website but I couldn't proceed further with the seat reservation.  

I plan to use a 3 month pass next year for several excursions to the mainland. One of them is to meet up with a cruise in Italy. We will be travelling over Easter so flights are high, and after all the issues this year with limited availability of Eurostar it is a risk that all reservations for Easter will disappear quickly, leaving me with a dilemma we have seen several times this summer.So I wondered what the cost  of buying a ticket would be when you buy ahead.I was amazed that not only were the prices for my target date already listed I could buy them. The cost of a journey from London to Brussels was only £52 in standard. Compared with the prices of E* reservations of £30 to £40 it .was a small premium to pay for the security of our journey.We will still use our pass to get to London and an onward from Brussels.A quick scan of returns to the UK show similarly priced trains also available..I have no doubt these prices will change (upwards) as we get into the next year

I am just mesmerized: I booked seats on a direct train COP-STOCK 19 Aug. A week ago an email: train was canceled. 'rebook' not available' so canceled and new booking: unbelievable but true: the initial booking had breakfast included, hence the high price. The new booking however obligés me to take a local train copenhagen-malmo and then high speed to stock: WAY higher price without any food: 354 SEK  Initial booking only had 286SEK ( 143sek per person) including breakfast. This train has no breakfast, and I didn't prebook any food, but have to pay way more.Customer service function in their app does not work. And worst of all: no English booking confirmation. I can cancel again off course.
