Train connections & reservations

Hi guys:We are group of three travelers.I thought when I use Euro Rail seat reservation system, I will be able to select seats. Despite paying hefty $156.00 and $253 for seat reservation between London-Paris and Paris-Zurich respectively for first class on top of euro rail pass, I didn’t get to choose where we sit :(.  Are there any tricks to do seat reservation or are we at the mercy for automation? Can we change our seats at the station? I know London Paris leg may be very busy but i don’t expect Paris Zurich to be a problem. It is my first time travelling to Europe so I am not sure how busy it would be between Paris Zurich on express train. thanks

Hello everyone! I'm trying to book my eurostar seat on B-Europe but my train doesn't appear. It indicates that there is no matching connection. However, when I go to the official Eurostar website, the train exists and there are still seats available.I'm supposed to come back on the 29th so it's becoming quite urgent. Would you have any tips or solution ?Thank you very much for your help 🙏

Dear Community,I need urgently help regarding my booking issue for a connection from Lyon to Barcelona next Monday, 26 September, which is part of my travel from Germany to Madrid. I ordered the Cover Pass Number but I am not able to book the seat reservation for the connection from Lyon to Barcelona on the https://travel.b-europe.com/Eurail-GE/en/booking-tgv#TravelWish website.It does not even show Barcelona as a destination to go to from Lyon.I have no idea how to get a seat reservation now for this connection. It also tells me in the Eurail reservation tool that the ticket is only issued in paper and therefore needs to be sent by mail which impossible to Germany apparently. I already went to the DB Reisezentrum but they couldn’t assist in this issue since its SNCF who is in charge for the connection.I am more than happy for any hints and help.Thank you very much in advance.Franzi

Yesterday when travelling to London with an Interrail a signal fault meant our train stopped outside of Koln. No station staff and the driver had no idea when we could proceed. Had no choice but to take a taxi for 45 euros. We have the receipt and a set of DB reservations all the way to Brussels. Who might arrange a refund DB or Interrail?

Hi, I am trying to purchase Eurail pass Spain ahead of time now. Unable to log in b/c of password not matched. I clicked forgotten password but didn’t receive mail since last night.

So I arrived in Oslo at 18:00 today and wanted to reserve a seat to trondheim. there was no customer service or tourist workers anywhere. So I tried the machines I found my train 22:50 but couldn't reserve a seat with the machine. So I figured I'd just jump on and plead my case. Weird thing is the train appears to have never existed. It was 100% there when I check the machine. It's on the interail app and it's online for the same time tomorrow a Sunday so I doubt it wouldn't be running Saturday. But it wasn't on the boards, no info about it or the Bergen train 23:09. It's not a rail replacement or a connection through metro I've checked. Was it just cancelled without explanation? Am i dumb? Is the universe just trying to spite me? Regardless there's no night trains running. Guess it's the airport floor as a mattress tonight . 

Struggling to book a 2 bed sleeper on Milan to Palermo train on 19th Feb.I have interrail pass along with my wife but cannot seem to reserve 2 bed sleeper at local Italian station only a couchette for 4 people which we don't want.Can see that 2 bed sleeper are available on 19th when I make ticket enquiry but cannot get these ticket reservation at station .Can you advise me if I can book 2 bed berth via you and if so how or how to resolve this at the Italian station.Thank you in anticipation,Frank Teague

Hello! I will be traveling with my 10 year old daughter this December from Stockholm-Oslo-Gothenburg-Copenhagen-Stockholm-Helsinki-Kiruna-Ostersund-Stockholm. We are traveling by train with the exception of the Tallink ferry from Stockholm-Helsinki and a bus from Pello to Kiruna. It has been a long time since I have Eurailed so naturally I have a few questions: What train routes on my itinerary require advanced reservations? Do they have baggage storage in the train terminals? Does the Scandinavian Eurail Pass cover all of these train routes? Are there any additional fees? Do you have any must stay hotel recommendations for Oslo, Gothenburg, Copenhagen and Helsinki? Also looking for must eat restaurant recommendations, especially in Copenhagen as we will be spending Christmas Eve there.Thank you in advance for your help in making our trip come alive! 

I have some questions about the limitations of the use of German rail pass.I understand tourist can use this pass including some designated neighborhood countries like Austria, Belgium and so forth.But I wonder whether I can cross the border from anywhere in Germany. If not,  can't I use the pass from only particular stations  in Germany？And can I use the pass only from Germany when I cross the border ? Like from Paris to Frankfurt am Main is not included?My plannning I am worried about is as follows ;Paris → Frankfurt am Main Dresden→PrahaHallstatt→MünchenKöln→AmsterdamAre these cases like above included in German Rail Pass?If someone knows, please let me know.

HelloI am trying to book seats on Eurostar on Oct 29 from London to Paris. I see a message saying most seats are sold out for pass holders and that people should use ferry as an alternative. But when I click on buy seats, it is allowing to pay for the seats.What does this mean? Can I still purchase seats or I should not book? Pls suggestThanksSatbeer

Hi,On Sunday Sept 18 I have booked a train from Nice to Rome. It’s a TER from 5:36 am from Nice to Ventimiglia. However, my train from Ventimiglia to Rome is 8 hours direct. I only have 10 minutes to transfer from the TER or IC train. I’m wondering if anyones knows how big the Ventimiglia station is? I don’t want to miss the train and I have bought seat reservations and it’s the only direct one that day. Thank you in advance!! 

I am trying to book a nightjet on either the 1st Oct or 2nd Oct. We’re holding Eurail passes 1st class and wanting to book the 2person sleeper. Oebb shows availability on the 2nd for the route via Cologne, but then after keying in payment says no seats anymore.The only option I have now found is 1st Oct to Paris Est and then to take the Thalys to Bruxelles Midi(which by the way is showing no 1st class reservations on the 2nd Oct - but they sell 1st seats outright??)Does anyone have a better option for us to look at for a sleeper? (My preference would be to travel on the 2nd, arriving on the 3rd October).

There exists a connection Lille (d11.26)-Massy TGV(a13.34 d14.18)- Dax (a17.30)Do you have to pay €10+€10 (or €20+€20) or only €10 (or €20) for the reservation?

Hi everyone please help. I bought Eurail seat reservations from offenburg to Paris. When I got to offenburg I asked a conductor if the train was going to Strasbourgh where I would catch a connecting train to Paris. They said yes. I’m now on the train, reliving it’s not going to Strasbourg but to Karlsruhe HBF. I’m so upset, I had paid for seat resos already too. What are my options?  the trains on the app say I cannot buy seat reservations. I’m assuming this is my fault and I’ll have to repurchase seat reservations again but I don’t know what to do 

Hi all, My itinerary starts in Zagreb and goes to Budapest, Prague, Cologne, and back to London. I am unsure if I should put Zagreb first or how to start my reservation. Itinerary:Zagreb to Budapest: Sept 24 Budapest to Prague: Sept 26 Prague to Cologne: Sept 28 Cologne to London: Sept 30If someone can tell me how to format my itinerary properly, this would be very helpful. I have just read that Trainline will be offering tickets for a new high speed service in Spain operated by Iryo at cheap prices. It is part owned by Trenitalia but I assume Interrail passes will not be accepted - does anybody know? https://iryo.eu/en/we-are-iryo-en/ Also SNCF announce a twice daily Alicante - Madrid service under the Ouigo Espana  brand.

I read somewhere in this forum (but cannot find it now) that in certain German ICE trains it happens that Interrail pass holders without seat reservations are asked to disembark for security when there are too many passengers standing in the corridors of the full train.Does this happen regularly?And if I desperately need to be on a specific ICE that I can see in advance is fully booked, does it help if I buy a regular ticket for that trip valid that day, so that I am not any more considered an Interrail pass holder, even though I still do not have a seat reservation on that train?In other words, when I do not have a seat reservation on an ICE that is full of standing passengers, do I have better chances of not being disembarked if I hold a regular ticket, than with an Interrail pass?

Hi I am keen to travel from Istanbul to Amsterdam in early Nov 2022 and I want to take Bucharest to Budapest EuroNight on 9th  or 10th Nov. I am searching for the train but cant find it at this site or any other?Does this connection still exist? Is there any alternative by train?Pls advise.

Hi -Kindly suggest Golden Pass route & timetable from Interlaken to Gstaad and Interlaken to Lucern with Interrail Global Pass to be travelled end of Sept 2022.Can we take these trains multiple times with stops in between ?Any seat reservation required on these trains? What is difference between golden pass belle epoque vs panoramic?

(Not home when I should receive seat reservations)Is there any way I can change the location the seat reservations will be send to? Like that it will be send to one of my friends houses? Because that day I will not be home and the next 2 days the mail will not be deliverd and the day after that I leave for my trip….
