Train connections & reservations

How can we purchase a seat reservation for the IC928 from Budapest to Ljubljana on the 27th August at 20:29 o‘clock?? Cannot do it online. Is it possible to purchase a ticket at a ticket office in Budapest? Any experiences?  The MÁV train website offers me one 21€ ticket for the train with a seat reservation included for 1€. How can I only buy the 1€ seat reservation ticket without having to buy the full ticket as I am a global Interrail pass holder? 

Hi - I am trying to book nightjet from Wien - Florence. It is not allowing me on the OBB site. Saying that only availability is 12th Sept and still then I can only reserve from the Venezia Mestre - Florence part of the journey. I have seen the really helpful info on how to book with OBB and hoping someone can offer me a solution please? :)  

Hello! My interrail app gives me strange routes and with insane travel times. On the Deutsche Bahn app everything looks fine. Is this a bug? Or is the DB better or les informed? I don't have any filters on. But now I can't add the right Journey to my pass.   

Hi there, setting off tomorrow. Just want to double check that for trains where no reservation is required, do you have to get on the exact train that you have added to the pass or any train on that route (in case of delays, missing a connection, etc.) Thanks!

In just over a week I’ll travelling from London to Milan via Paris and Zurich. Eurostar have just emailed me saying that the train I will be taking from London to Paris will depart an hour later due to strikes. This means that I won’t make the connections that I have reserved. With my new arrival time at the Gare du Nord the quickest way to get to Milan no longer takes me via Zurich so I’d like to get refunds for my connecting trains and reserve some different trains. Is that possible and how do I go about it? Thanks in advance.

My wife and I have just got mobile flexi passes and have added them as individual passes to our seperate devices. What is the best way to be able to book our rail tickets so that we definitely get the same reservation and seating together on each train trip? Thanks for any help.

Hello. So I’m traveling with a night train but the night train is delayed and I can’t catch my following train. So this is my last inbound trip and the following train is in my home country. So technically I don’t have the chance to take a train which comes later because I used my travel day in combination with that night train. What can I do?

Hi all, This is my first  ever booking of Thalys, I decided to use the train instead of a plane because I thought it would be more reliable but looks like it is not. We have travelled to Cologne from Portugal and have a Thalys booked for tomorrow to get to Paris, from where we willl fly back to Portugal.However, I just got a message from Thalys that due to the flood the train won't be stopping at Cologne tomorrow?   Can the situation still change? Or do I need to run ti the ticket office now?How do I get to Paris? They suggest to use Aachen or Dusseldorf but I am not sure how to get to Paris from there??? We have the hotel booked for tomorrow and no booked stay in Cologne so we would really like to get to Paris tomorrow :) Thanks a lot in advance for any tips

Hi All, I am from India and this is my first time travel to EU. While my travel from India to Paris is on 3 OCT where I will stay for 5 nights, I have already booked my train ticket for further travel from Paris to Barcelona. I booked it on Trainline app and the ticket has Interrail Eurail logo in it.. I am bit confused whether I can use this ticket for travel from Paris to Barcelona since I have read somewhere that Interrail Eurail pass is for EU citizens. While I know that it's not the pass that I have taken, it's a ticket but wanted to confirm with you all that I can travel on the ticket.Thanks in advance 

Hi, I bought a mobile global pass and I’m trying to book a reservation for the train from Oslo to Bergen (Norway). Unfortunately, the paper ticket is the only option I can choose on interrail.eu, and that ticket will arrive too late. I know there is also the possibility to receive the ticket at the hostel I will stay, but it’s not that simple because it’s required the hostel owner name (obviously I don’t know his/her name). Is possible to get a reservation in another way?

Hi - I’m planning to fly into London and take a train on New Year’s Day to Amsterdam. I’ve read that the train should still operate on a schedule similar to a Sunday schedule. Then planning to go from Amsterdam to Paris.I want to book these in advance but searching says the times are not released yet. Can someone let me know when these will be available to make reservations?Thanks!

Hello, I have a question about making a reservation from bucuresti to budapest. We first made a reservation through the interrail reservation page, which led to paper tickets being sent. Unfortunately the tickets were not accepted by delivery and are being returned to sender now. We don't have enough time to reserve paper tickets again. We tried to reserve tickets through the Hungarian and Romanian railway company but then we have to pay full price (ticket and reservation) because we can't manage to get discount with our mobile passes. Is there someone who can help us with booking the reservation directly at the railway company? / Does anyone know if we can get these tickets at the Romanian (or Turkish, as we are now in Istanbul) station? Thank you in advance!Krista

We have a Global First Class Pass, but due to a misunderstanding, we’ve only got standard class seat reservations on some of our trains.Is it possible to upgrade the seat reservations to the first class / premier seats?

I have a mobile pass and am trying to book a high speed train but it wont let me. I am trying to book Brussels to Paris and there is only 1 train left for Saturday. Please help! 

This was my itineraryBrussels to Cologne - Thalys 9471 - 19:25 - 21:15 Cologne to Zurich - OBB nightjet NJ403 - 23:42 - 8:05There is a flood at Cologne Hbf apparently which means no trains are calling there. That’s ok, I can reroute via Aachen to get to Cologne.However apparently due to a strike by the Dutch railway, the nightjet Amsterdam - Zurich is starting at Frankfurt (I think). Which I don’t seem to be able to get to in time to catch it up.I’ve tried calling the OBB helpline on +43 (0)5 1717 but it says number not recognised from my UK phone.I’m not sure what to do to get to Zurich for tomorrow morning, if it’s possible. Is anyone able to work it out? Or at least confirm exactly where the sleeper is starting from at what time.

Hi all, Curious if any of you had experiences using Eurostar reservations for a different date than reserved date? I wanted to buy a new one, but it is now sold out for ALL departure times. Any tips? Do you think I would get in trouble? Cheers.

I took a ticket for the Rome-Munich route with a change in Bolzano through the Rail Planner App. The Bolzano-Munich train is the EuroCity Brenner 86 which leaves at 12.34 on August 1st. The only problem is that no seats are available on this train. Can I reserve a seat on the EuroCity Brenner at 2.34pm instead even though it says 12.34 on my ticket?

Hello, I hope someone can help me. If I try to make a seat reservation on the interrail website , always they said that's isn't possible. Is it possible to do it in the CFR app or website? I hope somebody can help me.  

I’ve found the train and connection I need. However, when I change the Type of Seat from Seat to Couchette (or Sleeper) Interrail/Eurrail is no longer listed as an available discount. How do I book a couchette (or sleeper) with my Global Interrail pass?Thank You 

Hi!i have booked a seat reservation on the Eurostar . Those tickets go really fast so I m keen to make sure I defintely have a ticket. I booked more than an hour ago, the money has definitely left my account but I still have t received any confirmation.costumer service does not respond eithershould i rebook now or wait?thank you all for your help!

I really need help quick because I will be travelling very soon and I paid for 3 seat reservations on the route Bruxelles midi- Paris Nord and it said I should get a confirmation mail in 30 minutes but I did not receive anything. However I placed 3 more orders after this one and got all the tickets immediately so it is not a problem of payment or on my side. the customer service is not responding for 2 weeks and I really do not want to pay again ...

If I buy a Euro-Rail pass, can I travel on any train without any additional costs from London to Paris, Paris to Venice, and then return, Venice to Paris to London?  Thank you!
