There is no proposition of reservation except through Barcelona to go from San Sebastain/Donostia to Bordeaux

Genève-Cornavin to Interlaken Ost on Oct 29 with a 1st Class Eurail Pass. Is a seat reservation required on this route via Bern? Also wondering if there’s any advantage to reserving on SBB InterCity trains

Lyon → Geneva (Oct 28)Lyon Part-Dieu to Genève-Cornavin on Oct 28 with a 1st Class Eurail. Is it TGV Lyria that needs a reservation, or TER regional option with no reservation. Late morning or early afternoon travel. 

Dear All Community member,I have plan to visit Interlaken and Zermatt next December (exact date on December 24th, and December 25th) each trip take from Basel. I have seen the schedule on the eurail app, which state that seat reservation optional.I do not have experience to visit both places before during christmas holiday. May I ask your suggestion whether it is necessary to book seat reservation for both trip during christmas holiday? Thank you for your help.

How far in advance can I book seats on TGV from Nice to Paris 

I’m trying to book Lyon Par Dieu to Torino Porta Susa on 3 September (having already paid/booked reservations from the UK to Lyon via Lille Europe since the whole journey from the UK to Turin was showing as bookable on the Interrail app) but there sees to be no way to reserve on the 17.20 Freccia Rossa (direction Milano)! I’ve found posts on here from 3 years ago saying Frecciaitalia trains to/from Paris are not part of the Interrail network and that many on here were pressuring trenitalia to change this. Is it possible now? Did you succeed?Since I’ve already booked the other reservations (Eurostart and snc from Lille to Lyon) , I now risk losing money if I can’t book the last leg of my journey (Lyon-Turin) 😯

I am booking a trip from Granada to Madrid but would like to stopover for a few hours in Cordova to sight see and have a meal.

I have a question about making seat reservations using the Eurail Pass. I’ll be traveling around Christmas and plan to take the train from Cologne to Strasbourg on December 24. As I understand, seat reservations can usually be made through the Rail Planner app or the Eurail website. However, the app hasn’t been updated yet — it currently only allows bookings up to December 13. I noticed that last year, the app was updated around mid to late November, so I’m wondering if I should just wait for it to update this time. Will the trains be likely to sell out if I wait? I also checked on the DB (Deutsche Bahn) website. The train from Cologne Hbf to Mannheim Hbf (ICE 515) allows seat reservations as normal, but the connection from Mannheim Hbf to Strasbourg (ICE 9590) cannot be reserved — it says “subject to compulsory reservation.” Since this will be on Christmas Eve, I’m worried there might be a lot of people traveling. Should I wait for the Rail Planner app to update, or should I look for

When I write my card details and proceed to payment, it says error. When I try paying with Apple Pay, it doesn’t accept either of my cards, and I have all the card types that are considered accepted.   

Hi all, first time rail pass user and having some trouble with the tech. I am trying to book a train from Brussels to Lyon on the 15th December. The journey I want is available on TGV but not showing on RailApp. There are journeys available on RailApp up to the 13th December but nothing after that and it’s been that way for weeks. I’m having similar problems with the other journeys I want to book later in my trip. I’ve tried the eurail website and all of the alternative third parties it suggests with no joy. I also find that when I move from rail app to the eurail website, my pass and other reservations are missing. It all feels very clunky and frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hello,I want to reserve the bicycle place in AVE train for traveling between Barcelona and Madrid on the 26 January. According to Renfe website, this is mandatory: “Keep in mind that you must add the Bicycle Add-on when you buy your AVE and Larga Distancia (long distance high-speed) tickets if the bicycle exceeds the maximum hand luggage dimensions, it is free! “https://www.renfe.com/es/en/travel/informacion-util/luggage/bicycles-and-kick-scooters-_non-electric_I already booked my seats from the interrail website, but the option to book the bicycle place was not present.On renfe website, I did not find a way to only book the bicycle place without buying a ticket...Anyone know how to book the bicycle space without buying a passenger ticket?Or do you have experience of taking AVE train without a reservation for bicycle or special luggage? did you managed to get in ?Thanks in advance :)

ciao, sto pianificando il mio viaggio verso la Svezia e Danimarca. Partenza da Bologna ,cercando il treno per arrivare a Stoccolma vedo che a Monaco cè il cambio treno mi indica la fermata a Muenchen Hbf Gl.5-10 e partenza per Amburgo da Muenchen Hbf trasferimento con mezzi pubblici…… qualcuno sà dirmi che mezzi pubblici ??? e come ci arrivo ? io ho sempre il terrore di perdermi nelle grandi stazioni e sopratutto di perdere la coincidenza. Avrò circa 1ora di tempo fra un treno e l’altro spero di farcela. E non conosco il tedesco, le segnalazioni ci sono anche in inglese?? grazie mille per l’aiuto 

HiIm travelling to Tirano on Bernina Express on the 19th of october.I see there is no trains availible from Tirano to Milan on that day.Will there be replacement busses and where can i get the time tables ect.There is no information on Trenitalia on this.kind regards, 

We travel to europe in december and plan to take our first train on December 15.  We want to reserve our seats as early as possible to ensure we can get the seats we want we note we still cant see trains after this date yet on eurail but note some dates starting to appear directly on the train providers websites but with warnings of changes. is it worth waitinf until they appear on thr eurail sites? 

Hi all, I’ve listed my journey from London to Paris on ‘my Trip’.However I booked the seat reservation via RailEurope and not via Eurail app.  I have received my Eurostar email, completed the API and printed my tickets so they know I am booked on and all is good on that front.  Are there implications for when I go to board..?  When I trigger the Pass next Sunday will it all make sense….?  I just don’t understand how the ticket QR codes will appear on the app…...do I have to do something manually.  All my train times and routes are listed in ‘My Trip’.Thanks P 

May I get seat reservations on journeys that do not require them? For example, I have gotten tickets with my Eurail pass for Malmo to Oslo for 9-10-25, 10:12 to 17:44.  And if I can do seat reservations, will the Eurail discount apply?  Same question for Nice to Genoa?

I want to book Eurostar for March 2026. The train times are on the Eurostar website but the app is telling me that they do not have details of the timetable yet because it is too early and I need to wait. 

Hello all.  My family and I are traveling to Germany, Switzerland and France this December.. We purchased a Eurail pass that is good for 7 days during the time we will be there.  I am within 90 days of my travel but Eurail website is showing “No Trains Available” when I try to book seat reservations.  I know there are train schedules out and even have the trains I want to take and want to make a seat reservation.   Do I have any options for making seat reservations others than waiting out Eurail to update their trains schedules?   Anything I am doing wrong?   Thanks, in advance, for any help and advice you could give.  

Hello, this is my first Interrail Trip, so I‘m sorry for beginner questions :) I have 15 day Global Pass. I‘m planning on going from Vienna (Austria) to Dornbirn (Austria) on the 3rd of October, stay with a friend for 2 nights and then travel to Geneve (Switzerland) on the 5th of October. I‘ll be going to Sevilla (Spain) and take the plane back, so I won’t need an inbound journey back to Austria. My questions are: Can I even book a trip from Vienna to Dornbirn or does my first train ride have to end in another country?  Can I book a trip from Dornbirn to Geneve on the 5th of October or will the app not let me do that because the trip starts in Austria again?  Could I alternatively book a trip from Vienna to Lindau (Germany, but very close to Dornbirn) and just get off in Dornbirn? And then book a trip from Lindau to Geneve and just get on in Dornbirn? Or is it forbidden to ride through your home country?  Could I cross the border from Dornbirn to Switzerland without the Global Pass and

I have recently been adding journeys to my upcoming trip on both coasts of Italy and when informed I must reserve seats (which I want to do), often I’m given the following message: "No price results were found…but there are other ways …Book in person at a main station … Book online at tickets.oebb.at." The latter has not worked for my three different journeys I was counting on.” I would love to get seats on several particular journeys. Could someone give me some guidance? That is, if I talk to agents at the main station in Stockholm (where my first journey will begin0, is it possible I might still get my dream tickets? And oebb.at has not opened the way either in all 3 journeys I have tried.  Perhaps you have other suggestions or wisdom for me?Thanks so much!

Was ist, wenn wir aufgrund einer Zugverspätung den reservierungspflichtigen Anschlusszug verpassen? Ersatzt uns dann die verursachende Bahngesellschaft im Extremfall auch eine notwendige Übernachtung? Ist der Interrailpass dann auch für den Folgetag gültig, wenn am selben (geplanten) Reisetag kein Zug mehr fährt? Wie weise ich meine Reise nach? Reichen dafür die Reservierungen? Was ist, wenn ein Zug ohne Reservierung Verspätung hat? Kann ich dafür eine Gesamtreise im Pass anlegen? In meinem Interrailkonto habe ich dafür keine Möglichkeit gefundenDanke für alle HinweiseDedo

Hi. I had booked an ÖBB train from Vienna to Salzburg in October. When I was looking at the app, I realize that there has been a change in my journey. Based on my checking, my train has been changed from RJ642 to IC642. I had reserved first class seats. Will my seats still be valid because the type of train changed? :/ I booked back in May only to see this change now.I am unable to call their hotline as I am based in Asia and it’ll be expensive for overseas call. I had sent them an enquiry via their website but I heard that they may have take some time to reply.In the event that nothing has been done by the time I reach Vienna, do you think it would be possible to go to the OBB office at the train station to ask them to reserve seats on my behalf, or should I take a risk to enter the first class cabin and sit on any empty seats?  I’ll be traveling on a Thursday if that helps Thank you in advanced   

Hi,I’ve already booked my Eurail Pass for my trip to Spain next month. Now I’m trying to book my seat reservations through Rail Europe. However, I noticed that the system never asks for my pass number. When booking, it only asks me to select the type of pass (Eurail or Interrail), and after I select Eurail Global Pass, it just asks for my ID number and personal details. Is this normal?Do they not ask for pass number?(Just want to double confirm)-For eg,this is the only details i have to include(including email+ number)
