Train connections & reservations

Hello Eurail CommunityMy trip from Brig Switzerland to Milano Italy for August 21 has seat reservations for 2 passengers. How do I cancel the seat reservations for this trip which I have already purchased last month? If I cancel my trip, will it automatically cance also the seat resevations? Will I get a refund for this seat reservations? thanksNathaniel

Hi there! I’m a 3 month pass holder and I’m trying to make a reservation for July 21st. Paris to Spiez. 11:20-17:03. Second class seats. It first says the price is 10.80 and then jumps up to 47.08 randomly for the checkout price. Is that the correct price? Even if I have 2 people on there it should be only be 21.60 with the 10.80 price. I just don’t won’t to over pay if I don’t need to. Thank you for your help! 

Hola, próximamente voy a realizar un viaje con interrail y tengo varias dudas. Por ejemplo al hacer el viaje entre Praga y Budapest tengo varios transbordos de tiempo muy corto, unos 10 minutos entre cada tren ¿si se atrasa y pierdo el otro tren puedo usar mi pase para coger el siguiente si no lo he programado?

At last after 2 years we get to use our pass.Plans made moths ago  reservations via IR, Oebb and DB as soon as available and app tested and disabled until today.Flew to Catania from UK and 2 nights in Syracuse. Printout of reservation for 1010 for Syracuse to Salerno in hand and passes activated. Journey added from trip.We boarded and set off on time. Ticket inspector scanned passes and looked a bit lost. Came back with colleague and asked to see tickets again. Started to reopen app and then he saw the reservation printout on tableImmediate calm and off they went.Highlight was the last boat train crossing in Europe.8 hours plus and arrived bang on time. 

I booked a seat reservation on the Eurostar for 13th September. When do I have to enter the matching rail trip on the Interrail app at the latest?

I booked a reservation for 6 of us from Barcelona to Paris on 4th October at 9.10.  It said 'thankyou we are processing your order' and that it may take up to 30mins to receive it in your account.  Well it processed the payment of AUD $336.41 however I never received any confirmation email and the reservation doesn't show up in my account at all.  So it seems there's been a glitch and I've paid for 6 x reservations I don't have. What should I do?

Hey!I had won an interrail ticket through DiscoverEU. I would like to travel to Istanbul and had already arranged my first few reservations. From Brussels to Videle I have been successful: sometimes through a detour, but that doesn't matter.From Videle (Romania) to Halkili (Turkey), I can't manage to book tickets or make reservations via the app. Since this didn't work, I tried to book a new ticket through the Romanian site, but that caused a lot of side issues. According to the booking, I would have to pick up my ticket at the station itself, but then when completing my payment, I also have to select a station, which does not list 'Videle' as a 'pick-up station' at all. I also can't get contact arranged with the country for the service.Is there perhaps a way to solve this, or to avoid the country of Romania and get to Turkey via a detour, starting from Brussels South on September 1, in the evening, towards Istanbul (pendik) or (halkili).Kind regards,Semih  

Hello train lovers! I have an Interrail Country Pass for France and wanted to make a seat reservation for TGV Valence-Brussels. (last part of the trip) - From all information I understood that this train is included for the Country Pass France, but the system does not allow me to book seats to Brussels. Only to Lille.How does this work? Is it included or not? Do I need to buy an additional ticket and if yes, where and how?Thanks! 

Hello Yes, I’m aware of all the RENFE tips and advice and I have found away to make my interrail reservations. I have been waiting for the last journey I need to reserve to come online and have been checking the RENFE site every day. It just became available today (travel in mid/late October) but says that the train is full already. Does anyone know if this might be a system gltch (ie it might clear up and reservations become available) when things are first put online?  

Hi, please can you advise how to book the ICE 9574 on 23/08/2022 from Stuttgart Hbf to Paris Est at 10:53am and arriving at 14.05pm. The interrail app is showing an error message and when I go to book on the SNCF or DB it’s showing at around €300!I also tried to book the train at a Swiss station but they couldn’t book it either. Plus they say this problems happens all the time (not great for young travellers who are trying to get home). I know I could purchase the tickets from a German train station but this is TOO late and there will most likely be no seats left.  Lastly, if I am not able to get a seat reservation for myself and friend can we still get on the train? Or do you HAVE to have a seat reservation?  Many thanks, Jess 

My husband and I are on a Carnival Great Britain cruise that will end at 5 am, Sunday, 8/21. Under my trips on the Eurail app we have tickets for our trip from Dover Priory to Paris at 09:49, arriving in Paris Nord at 15:47. I paid for reservations online last night for Dover to London, but did not receive an email receipt. I tried to make reservations for London to Paris at 12:31, but the website I was on said it was impossible!!! I need help!!! We have hotel reservations in Paris on 8/21. Also, on 8/12 I had a trip for 2 set up on Eurail to go from London to Dover priory, but we didn’t go or use that day on our Eurailpass because I had forgotten that I had already paid for a tour bus to take us from London to Dover. Did we lose credit for that day because we didn’t go? Also, I paid for reservations for that trip and, like the current situation, I never got an email receipt for those paid for reservations, either!

So I’m very confused about why the schedule I look up online, or on my app, don’t match up with the train station schedules. Trying to get from Madrid to Avignon, see the routes, trains on my app and online..have to make a reservation, we go to the station, and the guy at ticketing says he can only get us to Girona. Makes no sense. We accept the ticket, make the reservation and leave. Get back to our room, see the same trains that will get us to Avignon, and just plan to go to Girona, and go from there. This is the second time this has happened. Why don’t the schedules match? 

Een maand geleden heb ik een interrail globalpas gekocht voor een treinreis van Etten-Leur naar Rome. Mijn reis staat in de app. Het lukt niet een slaapplaats te boeken op het stuk van Muenchen naar Rome. Kan iemand mij helpen? De reis begint op 1 oktober.                     Alvast bedankt 

Hello! This is my first post here as I will soon be in Istanbul and I’m wondering if anybody knows whether the night train from Halkali station is running to Sofia Bulgaria. The Interrail/Eurail website seems to imply that it does however I cannot find a schedule and I read a bloggers page that said it wasn’t running due to Covid (but the page hadn’t been updated in awhile). Thanks in advance!James

What happens if my train is late and I don't get my connecting train. Can I add another ticket on the day if I take a different train?For example an ICE for another or an ICE for an RE?

Hi there!! I’m Sanne and in 2019 I won a DiscoverEU Interrail pass. This year I am going to Sweden using the pass and my friend wanted to join me so he bought the same pass as I have.  To get to Sweden we need to book some seat reservations. I added him to my trip after reading some community q&a’s. But now I still can’t book. I can book all the reservations for myself, but not for him or us both. It says they’re not available when I try to book them yet I can book them for myself alone. If anyone knows what to do, please let me know

Ik wil via Duitsland, Polen, Litouwen, Letland en Estland naar Finland reizen. De dienstregeling van de 3 anden vóór Finland wordt niet gedeeld met Interrail. Hoe leg je die reizen dan vast op je ticket? Heeft iemand hier ervaring mee?

Im trying to book reservations for the following journeys:overnight Paris -  LAtour de carol,Barcelona to malaga,but I cant manage to reserve them. Looking on the direct train coimpanies website (eg intercities de nuit) , I could only see how to book full ticket, not just reservations...

What's the best way to get from Edinburgh to Gloucester on Saturday 24th September for my family of 6?I would like to take the train but it proving difficult to book.  Can anyone help?  Thanks in advance :)

Hello.I have a mobile pass. For the train from Sanremo to Milan I need a seat reservation.I want to book this through Italiarail instead of Interrail because it is cheaper. The website always tells me that the passport number is not valid. What should I do? Is it not possible to book it on Italiarail as it’s a mobile pass and not a printed pass?Thank you! 

I am trying to reserve seats for mid December onwards but note that the timetables are not available yet.When would the timetables be available for Germany, Belgium, France and England? 

Hi,im embarking on my first interail trip on the 7th September  from split to Budapest, with a stop in Zagreb. The app says I need to reserve my seat from split to zagreb but not Zagreb to Budapest.  how do I reserve the seat for the first leg of the journey as it doesn’t let me do this on the app. Also am I garenteed a seat on the train from Zagreb to Budapest without a reservation ?  Thanks 

Subject says it all!

I can’t seem to get my hands on tickets for Edinburgh to Gloucester on the 24th of September.  Trainline.com haven’t yet released tickets (is this normal for just over a month out). Eurail.com says you can’t book them there. acprail.com say dates not available.  Any other ideas? I’d love to feel organised as I’ve booked accomodation.  thanks so much for your help :)

Heyyy, does anyone know if its’s possible to get a refund for booked seat reservations booked through the Interrail website? I thinkt the company is Deutsche Bahn.If you know anything about it I’d appreciate a reply :)Thanks for your help.
