I'd like to travel from Rome to London. So that we can take a ferry or a plane to Ireland and but I'd like to travel through Switzerland just to see the area and get a hotel. I was booking trenitalia euro city train from Geneva to venice, and the 2nd class tickets were sold out. I then bought the 2nd class priority seats. Is this an issue? Does this have any specific requirements?
Hi all, I’m using the Bahn.com train planner as I find it always the most accurate. For trains in Italy with an “FR” code eg. FR9811, which I assume is Frecciarossa, Bahn.com shows them all with the message “No seats are available for reservation” in the journey information. As they *all* show this message, I assume that it doesn’t mean that there are no seats (ie. all the trains are 100% full). Does it just mean that the Bahn.com site can’t reserve seats? If so, how can I get a seat reservation with an Interrail pass? Thanks very much for any info.
If I do not catch a connecting train (because of delay of the train before) and that train was the last train of the day, what exactly is the policy there? I get that talking to train staff is generally the best option but as I’ve also encountered sitations in which the delayed train was not staffed and there was also no station staff present anymore, who is responsible for refunding expenses like a hotel that became necessary (not talking about this specific incident but rather about handling situations like this in general)? Interrail or the operator of the delayed train? And how can the journey be continued next day, as the previos travel day already became invalid?
I can’t figure out how to change a first class reservation in Sweden— Same itinerary just one day earlier. SJ has said since I booked through Eurail, I need to do the change through your Eurail. But even though I see Eurail’s policy is that a first class reservation can be changed in Sweden, when I go to the Eurail site it says no you can’t change your reservation. I believe the site does not recognize that my tickets are first class. Can anyone help me?
My trip does not let me book from London to Wales. Had to do it by hand
There is change bus on my route from Berlin to Prague. It’s my first time traveling, is 30 minutes enough for me to look for the connecting bus? If I miss the connecting bus, what do I do?
Hi, the first Train of my interrail trip got canceled due to flooding, so all my trip and booked seats are now obsolete. How can the trip can be changed so that I can leave as soon as possible without paying more ?Do I need to book everything again or can the whole trip can just be "moved" to the next similar one without me having to book all over again ?
Hello. We are coming back from Naples to Strasbourg and meant to be going from Strasbourg to Paris on the 10th September but worried as there is a planned strike there won’t be any trains. We contacted Interail and they didn’t even know about this strike so wondered if anyone else knew about it?
Hello Rail Community I plan to take the 09:23 train from Stuttgart to Brussels Midi with transfer at Frankfurt on 29 October. I plan to skip anything Paris altogether…. I already booked the Eurostar from Brussels to London 15:51 to 17:00 Is the 6 minute transfer at Frankfurt very short? Should I rather plan another route or different times? Thank you!
I’m traveling to the UK in October. I have my Global pass, and I’m trying to reserve a seat on LNER for my ride from London to Edinburgh. It keeps telling me there are no routes. ?
I haven’t seen anything specifically saying that TTI trains are or aren’t covered, but in the absence of any apparent way to add information about a pass when booking I reckon they aren’t covered.Does anyone know for sure whether they are included in the pass or not?https://www.fstrenituristici.itThanks
Hi,I wanted to book a seat reservation from Milan to Zurich via Lugano and the OBB app says 0 euros and ticket valid for section of the journey only? If I take this route, I don’t need to pay any seat reservation unlike the 13 euros for a direct train to Zurich? And also, I was looking for a return journey from Zurich to Milan on 2nd November - OBB website shows ticket not available but SBB is giving me a different timetable, How can i reserve my seat?Thank you
Hey, my friend and I are currently in Sofia. In two days we want to take the train to Bucharest. In Bulgaria you cannot book any seat reservations online. We went to the central rail station to book the reservations in advance as we leave very early in the morning. There, most people at the ticket desks could not speak any english or were overwhelmed by our questions about seat reservations. The digital ticket machine was not working. Did anyone else have this problem already and can help us with ideas on how to book the reservations?Thank you :)
I have noticed that there aren't trains between Klatovy - Sušice and noticed that with Sušice there aren't any connections i asume this is some info that is not added to the app? Because on the Czech site those stations do have a connection and Sušice has connections to other places too so I asume i just need to add them manuál?
My wife and I have the 1st class Global-15-days-in-2-months pass on mobile app and are using a travel day to go from Vienna to Bozen, so its quite a long ride at 6.5hrs. I got seat reservations thrrough Eurail, and OBB came back with separate seats! This is quite annoying and not how we wanted to start out a 2 month trip, with riding separately through the alps!!!I checked the OBB site and for the exact trip we selected in the Eurail app there are other seats together in 1st class, I just grabbed them for €3/each from OBB. Eurail doesn't seem to want to refund me. Not only that, but getting the reservation through Eurail costs over 3x than getting them directly from OBB, and that 3x premium means we cannot be guaranteed to ride together?Anyhow, am I going to have to fight this for all 15 of my travel days in this 2 month pass??? How about on the Freccerossia? Or is it just possible to tell Eurail to create a travel day and give me a barcode I can give to the train inspectors, and
I am planning to visit Austria, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Hungary in September with a 7-day Eurail Pass. I'm planning to take a train from Budapest-Kelenfold to Wien Hbf with a Eurail Pass.On the Eurail website, it says that a seat reservation is required, but when I checked on the EuroCity website, it shows that reservations are not necessary and I wasn't able to book a seat there. On the Eurail site, I can still make a reservation. Should I book a seat in advance, or is it fine to travel withoutone?
I am planning to visit Austria, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Hungary in September with a 7-day Eurail Pass. When I tried to book a seat reservation for the train from Prague to Budapest, the website displayed the message:"Not available from Interrail.eu. This seat reservation can't be booked on our website.Check 'More information' for other ways to book."Could you please advise me on how I can make this seat reservation?
Hello,I was checking for seat reservations from Innsbruck to Bolzano on the OBB website. Do I need to check the box I only want seat reservation? If I check the Box, it shows 3 euros and if not the ticket shows 13 euros. Thanks
Hello all,I live in Rome and planning to travel to Amsterdam in October. If anyone can suggest any ideal routes to reach Amsterdam from Rome?I have a first class pass and what are the advantages of this pass and where I can use it Ideally? Thank you
I’m a Canadian, taking a long train ride through Europe to Greece. I’m going there on the eastern route through the Balkans, and back through Italy. I reserved a sleeper on the Dacia Express from Vienna to Bucharest on Oct 18. It gets me to Bucharest on Oct 19 afternoon, I hotel overnight, and the next day Oct 20 I travel to Sofia. Again I overnight in a hotel. The next day Oct 21I would normally take a 5 hour bus to Thessaloniki. But Oct 21-23 there is no 5hr bus, only a 13 hour milk run to Thessaloniki. My question is, is it possible to change the reservation to one day earlier. It’s a paper reservation, mailed to me in Canada, which I haven’t even received yet.It being off season, would they perhaps let me go a day earlier if I arrived a day earlier?
