Dear All,I have a Global Interrail Pass, Poland is my country of residence and I am trying to book a seat on a Warsaw-Berlin train, PKP Intercity does not allow making that reservation online (it would for a domestic connection, but not international), so I tried to use the Interrail booking system. It does not seem to work: the reservation prices don't show the places are supposedly/possibly sold out, but that doesn't seem true, because sometimes prices do show, on the very same trains. But even then I can't do the booking, because the only option the system knows is to send it to me via paper mail, and when I fill in the address, I am told it is too late and it wouldn't reach me on time. Is this really the only option? Can't I just have the reservation sent in printable electronic form?
I’m travelling at the start of September from bar, Montenegro, and was wondering if anyone had visited Belgrade recently. Are there any trains out of Belgrade that go towards Central Europe. I think my only option is a direct bus to Budapest. (Or going through Croatia from Montenegro, although really wanted to visit Serbia) Thank you
Hi, we are planning to travel from Brussels to Paris (13.08.2022 / 7.13 pm) with Thalys and called the customer service for seat reservations. But, I just realised that they gave us 1st class seat and now I can not call them again. Anyone has the same experience? How did it go? I saw a post that someone can still board the train but need to pay the differences. However, I wonder how much the differences will be? Any prompt response or suggestion will be very much appreciated since the travel date is coming soon and we will be travelling with a baby. Thanks all and have a good day!
I am taking the Eurostar tomorrow - From Brussels to London with connections up from Germany using two ICE trains. I know there have been many cancellations and problems with these ICE trains recently, especially between Frankfurt and Brussels. The one I need to take was cancelled today for sure! There is an alternate route (via Aachen and Welkenraedt) which I will take if there are problems. With this though it is likely I will miss my reserved Eurostar. I have 2 questions! What is the policy for missed connections onto Eurostar? If the ICE trains are delayed / cancelled, will Eurostar put my on next available train, even if travelling with Eurail/Interrail? If so, how do I prove that I was intending to take these trains?! With a “normal” ticket, this is easy to show. But with a mobile Eurail ticket I will have to completely remove the affected trains from my planner / ticket in order to add the new (later) trains that I must take. Thanks!
I booked an Interrail Poland Pass for my trip from Wiesbaden to Sedzilaw with my wife and the recommended train connection to do so is to take the ICE1557 at 8:26 am on the 15th August 22 and to drive to Dresden-Neustadt.The Pass however won't allow me to book the ICE to Dresden-Neustadt. The reason for this is according to the app that my bought Interrail Poland Pass is not valid in some countries.I used once the same Interrail Poland Pass and it worked out for me because of the "Incoming and Outcoming" guarantee. What can I do?
I’m unable to make seats reservations even if there is still place in the train.
Hey all! We’re travelling next Wednesday 17th august from Barcelona to Spain and saw that we can’t book the reservation online. There are multiple trains a day going through this route so I’m a bit confused why we can’t , can anyone give guidance? Should we wait to get to Barcelona and book at the station? Thanks so much in advance!
Hi! I was able to catch a train two hours prior to my reservation. This happend since that train had some delay, so I could make the transfer. It's a train with recommended reservation. But since I'm already traveling, I can't find the train in the system. What the best way to be assured of a seat?Already tried booking from a station later on the traject... Thanks!
Hi, I’m trying to book a reservation for two journeys that we absolutely want to be on a specific train and be able to sit with our traveling companions. I’ve gone to the Seat Reservations tab on eurail.com, and searched/selected the train(s) I want. The site (correctly) states that reservations are not required, but can be purchased anyway. The Total Amount is shown as USD $0 and the Add to Cart button is greyed out (presumably because there is no balance shown). When I select a different journey (as a test) that requires reservations, even if not for all legs, it has a “Show Prices/Hide Prices” twistie that allows me to select a reservation (see example below), but the desired journey above does not show this. Am I doing something incorrectly? It looks like I can make a reservation on the Deutsche Bahn site. Should I just do that instead?
Quick question, ill travel to London for 4 Days and found a nice connection. But on my way back it seems like every train from London to Brussel or Paris is fully booked with Interrail. Is there any chance that ill get my reservation on the 24.07 or is it normal that every Eurostar Train is booked. (I checked for Trains starting 22.07 - 10.08 and every single one is not available) thanks to your help
I had my paper ticket for a Paris-Barcelona reservation mailed to my friend’s place in Poland with my friend being the recipient as I won’t arrive there until July 21. The date of departure on the ticket is July 26. Yesterday, I checked the tracking and somebody at Eurail put my surname after my friend’s first name as the receiver, not his proper name as I entered it in the form. I absolutely 100% completed the form correctly. This is a silly mistake on Eurail’s behalf, but I’m concerned that because it is being sent registered mail, the postal company will not complete the delivery. I emailed customer service and have not yet gotten a response. What year is it? Why on earth is this mailed paper ticket a thing? Small mistakes like this can cause huge headaches.
I can’t make reservations through eurail/interail. You can’t progress past “continue to traveller details”. The community suggests making them through individual websites but OBB etc say they aren’t available. How do I make reservations on the following trains/route (photo attached)
Hi, which app would you use to check time table in Sweden and get to know which trains are delayed or canceled ?Thanks a lotCécile
I have made seat reservations for 3 journeys.Payment for all has been taken from my account but I have only received the email reservations for 2 of the journeys. The reservation missing is for a journey to Perugia. How do I contact customer services to ask about this -is that what I should do now?is there a telephone number for customer services?I have a mobile interrail pass
I want to go from Munich to Budapest in a week and the app states that a seat reservation is required, on the other hand the official website says that a seat reservation is not necessary. Which information is correct?
Buenas tardes. Gracias
Hello hive mind!I am planning to take the night train from Bucurest Nord to Halkali. In the rail planner app, and on https://bileteinternationale.cfrcalatori.ro/, this train is shown as one train with no changes on the way. However when I tried to book the reservation at the DB travel center, I was told that I have to change two times on the way. Checking the time table (https://p.bdz.bg/www/p/t/ptev-mezhd-cfr-2022-lyato-3011.pdf) the trip is also shown with a changeover. Does anybody know which information in valid? Thanks in advance :)
Hello. I booked the train tickets with my friends at once. But I'm the only one who should change the travel schedule. Therefore, I would like to cancel my seat reservation. In this case, however, I have to cancel mine and my friends' tickets at once. Is there any way I can cancel only just my ticket, not my friends’ tickets.
Since the eurail pass covers RER SNCF only and not metro in Paris, looking online it says the Charles de Gaulle Étoile station is a part of RER line A but it says pass not covered? i’m obviously going wrong somewhere lol
Hi, I have a eurail mobile pass, I need eticket and not paper ticket. However, when I go to seat reservation and ready to make payment they say its a paper ticket.
Rail Planner app says my trip on Sunday 14 August from Vienna to Amsterdam Central is not required to book reservations. But when I want to book seats it says a part of the train trip can not be booked. Does this mean that seats are all booked or it can not be reserved?
Good evening,We would like to book seat reservations for the nighttrain on the 10th of August from Florence to Vienna. When we try to book it on the site of DB, we can’t add a discount card for Interrail. Does anyone know what we have to add? Thanks in advance!
Hi guys! I’m very stressed out cause Idk how to make a seat reservation online for my trains in Spain and Portugal. It always says that seat reservations are required but not available on the Interrail website, so I have to book them in Spain and in Portugal.can’t I book them before online by calling or texting a station number? It seems risky to do it the same day.. what if there is no place left? I need to organise my trip in advance😭 thanks!
Hi, I’m thinking about travelling with a night train to Zurich from Utrecht, the only thing I’m worrying about is the fact that there are two trains leaving at the same time to the same destination. One of them is the night jet and the other one is just a IC. For the night jet you have to reserve a seat and for the IC it’s not obligated but how do I know which train is which or is it the same train? Thank you guys in advance:)
Hi, I have an Eticket and was wondering if anyone could help with me understanding how I can travel for free using my ticket instead of paying extra fees. I’m planning on travelling from London to Amsterdam but there are no options I can find that are free, they all require extra payment. I then tried to France then linking to Amsterdam to shorten the trip, but with the same result. kind regardsSam B
