Train connections & reservations

 I bought the Eurail Global Pass for two months and 10 days, in which I plan to use once  way from Madrid to Barcelona and I want to make my reservation, but I don’t know how to do it? My travel is on this 19 setember. Could you help me? 

I have a mobil ticket but i want to buy a ticket via Interrail but than i have to give my pasnumber, but a pasnumber do you have only when you have a ticket in paper, how can i fix this? I want to travel in a TGV from Paris to St Raphael. 

Hello everyone,I am just trying to make the reservation for my trip but I am unable to book it because the reservation for the INT 79 from BUDAPEST to VIDELE is only available in paper form via the Interrail website. But the trip is less than 10 days away and therefore the reservation via paper ticket is unavailable.Is there any other way to make the reservation digitally?Best regards,Martin

Hello In setting up my trip, I made a mistake. I have two days of travel to my home in France. I already bought the reservations. Is it possible to buy the ticket alone from SNCF? Thank you in advance. Jean-Luc

Hello, I am trying to book trains for Switzerland around the Lauterbrunnen area. Many trains aren’t included in the pass so when I go to look up routes for a seat reservation it says that my pass is not valid. How should I reserve these trains then? Should I wait until I am there to book those trains? And if so, how do I redeem my discount through Eurail on the Switzerland trains? Thank you very much for helping me!

I'd like to reservate some seats, but when i click on the 2e class there is no buttom to click on to add them to my chart.Like you can see. How is this possible? 

Hi all! We wanted to book the night train from Utrecht to Zurich but the reservation option requires us to change in Basel which apparently isn’t allowed for an outbound overnight train. So instead we will go for the non reservation option but I’m worried that it will be too full?? Any suggestions and tips on how to navigate this would be appreciated! 

Hi there. When I go to book a seat reservation when I go to checkout it only allows the option for paper ticket delivery which I don’t want. I’m sure you can get a online reservation emailed. Does anyone know why I can’t seem to change this? 

Hi, I'm trying to get on a train from Basel to Amsterdam on Aug 1 around 3PM. If the train is fully reserved and I don't happen to find a seat, will I be allowed to stand in the train while waiting for someone to get off in the coming stops? I read that in some review but just wanted to make sure. 

I’m still deciding whether to ;purchase a pass and need to know if there is seat availability for Eurail pass holder from Paris to Luzern on 13 Aug. Any ideas how to find this? thanks 

Hey! I need to go from Berlin to Gothenburg, and one of of the trains to go there (Hamburg to Copenhagen) seems to be fully booked for weeks! Does anyone know what will happen if I just enter the train without any reservation, and just sit on the floor? Could i get kicked off or get a fee? Or is it okay? 

Hello, As of what I understood trains marked as green I dont have to reserve and I can just go in right? So, why do some of them appear as unavailable???

Using the Eurail app, it doesn’t seem to have accurate information on schedules and express or transfer details. I believe I have the latest update for the app. Any advice on getting updated schedules?

Somos tres personas y tenemos el viaje organizado, hemos visto los trenes, horarios, todo, para reservar (desde aplicación)  y todo parecía correcto. Lo guardé en el carrito de compras para pagar, ingresé mi nombre y datos, pero no me pasó a ninguna opción para hacer la compra, no pidió tarjeta ni nada. No se cómo hacerlo. Es posible comprar todas las reservas de tren desde aplicación? Cuando hablan de boletos, se refieren a imprimir boletos o a qué es necesario comprarlos en alguna estación? Cuando haces reservas, es posible coger asientos juntos, por número, en cada pase? Os agradecería mucho si alguien me puede ayudar, saludos

I cannot even start describing how complicated it has been to plan my travel to Spain! I wanted to book on the eurrail app 2 weeks in advance but I could not book the Spanish train from France to Spain because they only work with paper tickets (?!) and they assumed that 10 working days would not be enough for them to arrive. I the called Renfe, SNCF and in a desperate attempt even Deutsche Bahn to try to book these seat reservations. Nothing. Went to a train station in one of the major cities in Italy, they also couldn’t help. So basically there was no way that I could book the seat reservation even though there were places available. I had to leave it up to chance and hope that once in France I could book the seat reservation. Turns out that even though there were second class tickets available at full price, there were none to be reserved for interrail passes (are there quotas ?). Hello there, we’ve booked several seat Reservation for our trip. Infortunatly the seat reservations for the Trains in Spain can‘t be booked in Germany. Does anybody know if it is possible to book the Seatreservation in any other country? The Train we want to book is from Barcelona to Madrid on the 30th of september and one from Madrid to Lisbon with arrival on the 3rd Oktober. Thank‘s for your Support!

It is possible that all pass holder seats are sold out. Please try searching for another connection or check 'More information' and try other ways to book this seat reservation. If no pass holder seats are available anymore you need to buy a separate full fare ticket to board. - Narbonne - Barcelona Sants, 17th Sept 22, RSC 9731 , 10:33 - 12:34SNFC and RENFE both tell me that this one is fully booked, i.e. I need to look for a different connection.It would be really useful if this information was provided in the Interrail booking system! - Paris Est - Stuttgart Hbf, 25th Sept 22, TGV 9579, 17:55 - 21:04DB tells me that reservation is not possible (but not why its not possible).SNCF does not tell me that the train is full, but also I couldn’t find an option to just reserve a seat

Hello there,I want to travel from Germany up in the north of Norway, Hammerfest, Sorøya, to be exact.I have a global pass, so it is possible to travel through sweden.I know that the trains in Norway go only until Bodø, but I found a train that travels through sweden. It reaches Narvik.Are there other cities higher in the north you know of, where I could travel through sweden?Or do you know of a fairy or a bus, that is part of Interrail, with which I could travel?Thank you!

Hi,On the Eurail map it looks like there is a direct train from Warsaw to Wroclaw.But when checking out the rail planner the trains seem to go indirect from Warsaw -> Posnan > Wroclaw.Just wondering if anyone has done this recently. Thanks 

Hi. I have to take the train from Cologne to Paris on the 9th of August. The friend I travel with managed to reserve a seat, but when I tried to it didn't let me because it said there were no reservations available. What can I do? Can I get on the train anyway if I add it to my pass, but don't have the reservation?

Hello everyone,My friends and I are planning an interrail trip for this summer (4th-28th July)!We found on lots of websites (e.g rail.cc) the mention of a night train from Thessaloniki to Belgrade on an interrail line, but on the official interrail website can only find the Belgrade to Thessaloniki night-train (Hellas express)!Ideally we want the reverse route of this train. Does anyone know if it exists, like other websites state, or alternatives if it no longer does?Thank you,Lexi 

What Happens if I miss my Train due to a delay of the first train (and I only have very little time to change trains) and then have to take a train the next day, because the Train I missed was the last one for that day. how can I get a ticket for the train the next day?will I be compensated for a hotel or so? thanks!
