Train connections & reservations

I am getting the train from budapest to ljubljana tomorrow and there is a bus from veszpram to ajka. I have very little time between the transfers so any advice on where to get on the bus in relation to the station would be helpful. 

Hi all, anyone recently been travelling from Kiato to Pireaus? Can I just hop on board the train with my interrail ticket, without an ekstra ticket for the train? I am arriving shortly before the train departs, so would be nice to know I dont have to look for tickets first.Best regards Karina 

Hi. Looking to buy a ticket from Bucharest to Istanbul via the Romanian State Railways website. I know that this is more expensive than necessary given that I am buying both the ticket and the reservation, but I want everything to be booked before starting our journey as I am travelling with my fret-happy father. However, online it seems like one can only book a place in a  4-bed couchette, despite the fact that I know other options should be available (3-bed, 2-bed, etc.). Is there any way to book a place in a 2-bed couchette online? If not, and I have booked the 4-bed couchette in advance, is there a way it could be upgraded at Bucharest train station if there was availability, provided I paid the difference? Thanks!

Looking to go from Gatwick Airport to London Victoria. The seat reservation tool appears to say that the Gatwick Express is included in the pass, but just want to make sure this is the case. Thanks!

Hi just looking for some confirmation on night trains.  has anyone used the night train Montenegro to belgrade and is it reliable/ running at the moment as I know most trains in Serbia are not.  Also can is there a night train that runs mid September from direct Budapest to Ljubljana as it states on the website there is but not clear on time tables. Also what company runs this train.  thanks 

HiIm trying to make a booking from London to Manchester Piccadilly on the 31st July. On the app it says seat reservation as only recommended. It doesn’t actually allow you to book or reserve a seat. How do I do this and know that there are seats available ? it strange that online and the app don’t actually have an option to book the seat or confirm 

Hi I will be travelling in 2 days and I cannot book the seat reservation.I already had global pass and QR code ticket for my trip in “My Pass” icon but some trips required to reserve the seats. which I cannot find way to do so.How do I make seat reservation for these trips. My trips are as such;1. Buen día!Quisiera consultar sobre mi pase de Eurail y sus reservas.Tengo un pase de Eurail que se activaría el 01-01-2022 y tengo 4 vouchers de Eurostar, para los cuales tengo que definir una fecha para su utilización antes del 30-12-2021.Me gustaría saber si esos vouchers de Eurostar son para reservas flexibles de Eurail y cómo tengo que hacer para utilizarlos, ya que todavía no tengo una fecha decidida de viaje, por los motivos conocidos de la pandemia.Según leí en la página de Eurail, si esas reservas son flexibles, puedo definir una fecha de uso y puedo cambiarlas hasta 7 días antes sin gasto alguno. ¿Es así?Espero sus comentarios, muchas gracias!

Hola por favor, compré dos tickets para mis papas desde mi cuenta. Me salen facturados dos tickets, me salen aprobados dos tickets pero solo me dejan agregar un pasajero y el otro me sale que no existe.Mi papa ha podido realizar el cargado de su pase y el de mi mama en su app pero no sabe como hacer la reserva, por lo que yo quería hacerla desde mi cuenta pero no me permite agregar su psajes me sale error. Solo me deja agregar el de mi mamá.   Me pueden ayudar por favor!  Hi I just bought to senior global pases for my parents. They have already activate it today. But since yestarday I was triying to make reservations and, wel yesterday the web was wrong, but today the web says that it does not recognices my dads passes, only my moms. I dont know why? Because I can see his name on the “facturación” or travelers but I can nos add him to any trip. 

Hi, I bought a ticket from the DB reisezentrum from Berlin to Warsaw on the EC.I read some of the forum posts - but was after clarification please.Once I’m in Warsaw, how do you arrange seat reservations? I can put the journeys into My Trips but is there a specific train company in Poland that should be used? And is it always paper tickets?And I know there aren’t really any trains atm going to Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, etc. But in the south direction to Budapest, Vienna, etc is everything running pretty standard?Thanks

Dear  fellow travellers , my son and I bought 5 days Interrail within 1 month.first time for us ,we are planning to go to Switzerland and stay over in Youth hostels .depart from Eindhoven , The Netherlands to Bern on first day ,from Bern to Zermatt , Zermatt to Grindelwald and from Grindelwald to Zurich , and last Zurich back to The Netherlands,For part Zermatt to Grindelwald, I do not see info if I should make reservations? Hello! We are traveling with discoverEU interrail pass and we want to book our train from Ljubljana to Venice. Details about the train: from Ljubljana it departs at 18:53, 21:32 arrives at Trieste Centrale (Italy). Then we wait for 34mins and from Trieste Centrale, at 22:06 we continue our trip to Venezia Mestre, where we arrive at 23:50. Is there any possibility to book a train reservation on both of these trains? They both appear as “you’re ready to board”, but we would rather be sure. Thank you for your answers!

Hi! I’m now planning to cross the border of France to Spain by going from Bordeaux to Hendaye, and walking to Irun from there (30 min walk according to the SNCF planner). However, when trying to go from Irun to Araya (eventually Pamplona), there is a reservation to be made with a small fee. I cannot book this in advance, the ‘how and when to book’ page only states I should book at major train stations AND the warning that I should book in advance… Has anyone done this trip section who knows how to book in advance?

I Wanted to go from Wien to Venezia. In OBB it says that ticket is not available, which I guess that this means that is free for Interrail users. But, in the other hand, in Rail Planner says that I have to book a reservation to get into that train. What does that mean?

I am trying to reserve seats for my trip but i am unable to find the option where i can do so. This train doesnt require resevation and hence the the place where i usually found link for resrvation simply says 'You are ready to board'. 

Just wondering is there any tip for getting seats in UK/German when boarding? I think most people said Friday/Sunday afternoon tends to be busy better reserve seat first, outside of this any other tips or maybe just sit in a restaurant car and buy a snack?Thanks!

Hi all, I will be travelling to Europe from 23/12/22 to January. I will be in Berlin, Germany from 23rd and going to Munich,Germany until 26th. Then leave for Switzerland France etc. I am planning to take the train from Paris to Barcelona,Spain on the 1/1/23. First day of 2023. Hello! I booked a night train but I am not sure if I have a sleeper seat. There was not an option to choose. Does that mean the train has no sleeper seats? I tried contacted Eurail so hopefully I can find out for sure and change it if needed but has anyone ever gone through something similar? Thanks!

Helloi  can’t book a train from Copenhagen to. Stockholm (we will travel on 29 July). can we book the ticket in Copenhagen? Or is there an other way to book online ?thanks!

Hi!I’m researching different train websites and trying to book seat reservations (for 2 people) for our trip in early September.I am having a few issues: not all of the train journeys/timetables are the same as on the Interrail app (showing different times, showing different changes etc), and they all appear to be sold out or unavailable to reserve on all websites (despite the rail planner app saying reservations are mandatory). Is it likely that these trains would be sold out with just less than 2 months to go? If not, would we be able to book them once we get to the country at the train station or even on the day?My route is (using times shown on interrail app):8th September:Salzburg (1:40am) - Lesce-Bled (7:30am): with a change at Schwarzach-St.Veit 2:30am-4:25amDo you know if this night journey will have sleepers, or is it just seats?This is the train journey giving us the most issues. Hi! I reserved a seat on a train going from Paris Montparnasse to Bordeaux. This was not possible via the interrail website, but it worked fine from the second link and a QR code was sent to my email. However, is it possible to add this ticket to the app anyways? Or do I always have to show it from email/printed if I make a reservation from an external system? (they also didn’t ask for the number of my interrail pass so it might not be connected?)

Hi, about 2 weeks ago I booked seat reservations for my EU rail pass for my family on the TGV from Perpignan to Paris on 27 Aug. My credit card has been charged but I've had no email conformation, and when I email customer services I get no response. Any ideas how to sort this would be welcome, thanks!

I was looking for a connection from Lyon to Madrid in October. By default if shows me this one:07:06 LYON PERRACHE (France) OGV 7811 Low Cost High Speed Train (not sold via Hermès) 08:08 AVIGNON TGV (France)0h 32m Change trains08:40 AVIGNON TGV (France) RSC 9731 Renfe SNCF Cooperation15:45 MADRID-PUERTA DE ATOCHA (Spain) I even enabled “only trains included in Pass network” but it still shows me this one. Only when I change the layover time I get another connection with another SNCF train. Since I cannot use OUIGO with interrail, why does the timetable tool still show this train? It is a bit confusing, because I thought that I only get valid trains especially with the option activated. If someone from the team is reading this, is this maybe an error and should be solved?

Hi everyone, I have already made reservations for the trains for my travel route, only now, by double checking, it tells me that the Brussels-Midi - Amsterdam Centraal route is mandatory.  When I bought the reservations it said it wasn't.  Can anyone tell me which are the mandatory routes and which are not?  my journey is: London-Amsterdam on 07/08 at 08: 26-16: 14.  Amsterdam-Berlin on 09/08 at 20: 30-05: 36.  Berlin-Prague on 13/08 at 09: 16-13: 35.  Prague-Munich on 15/08 at 07: 38-13: 18.  Please help me that I can't understand.
