Here is my situation:I bought my Global Pass for 4 days for the 2nd class seats. I planned out my trip in the app with all of the trains that I would need. None of the trains show available seats and are all sold out. Is it possible to pay an extra fee for 1st class tickets to still get on the trains with my 2nd class ticket? I don’t mind changing my pass for a 1st class pass. This is my planning:Amsterdam to Paris on the 4th of AugustParis to Barcelona on the 7th of AugustBarcelona to Paris on the 13th of AugustParis to Amsterdam on the 14the of August Thank you for your help in advance!
Hello,I would like to book a two person cabin for the night train from Bari to Milano. Couchette and single cabin are the only options on the interrail website but the two person cabin is is available on the Trenitalia website. Is there anyway of booking this? Thanks,Adam
Hello,I planned out a trip on the Interrail website but when I actually bought the tickets I found that it was not possible to book reservations on many of the routes I was aiming to use 😣. In the "more information" section it says you can book at the station. If I did this three days in advance (when I arrive at the preceding destinations) do you think I could book the following routes at the station:Vienna - Krakow 15:10- 22:23 (08.09.22)Krakow - Bucharest 04:01 - 08:06 (12.09.22)Bucharest - Istanbul 10:55 - 05:35 (14.09.22)If anyone has any tips it would be great as I don’t want to be left stranded! Thanks,Alex
So as many have noted, it’s almost impossible to get a reservation crossing the border from Hamburg to Copenhagen.I’ve done some research, and what’s really strange in my opinion is : the fact that you can board the train from Hamburg to Flensburg (closest station to the border) without reservation, and then you can get a reservation from Padborg (the first station on the other side of the border) to Copenhagen using the travel.b-europe.com (DSB) website. It’s the same train (IC 394), same schedule… But if you try to get a reservation for that same train but on any leg that crosses the border (e.g. Flensburg-Copenhagen), then you’ll get an error (from both Deutsche Bahn or DSB).It doesn’t really make sense to me, basically the train is supposedly full just for the Flensbug-Padborg leg… It’s really strange.
Me and my friends will be travelling in eastern Europe with an interrail pass. We've been about to book the seat reservations for the train lines that require a reservation. The problem is that there is only the option to get them send to our home adress as a printed version. My question is if the seat reservation works with a QR code or reservation number so that a friend at home just need to send pictures of the reservation tickets or if we need it as a printed form. Thanks in advance!!!You guys are our last hope !!:D
Hey! So I was interrailing last spring and had no problem with my reserved seats since I had them all printed out. I would however like to do a trip with no planned route or anything like that, ehich means that I can’t reserve and print the tickets at home beforehand. I was wondering if the e-tickets work fine by showing them from my email even though it says on the Interrail website to print all of them just in case.
Hi,the end of July I want to travel from Prague to Budapest. I wanted to book seat reservations via the Interrail/Eurail website but it just sais Prices unavailable. I guess because of all the reservation for interrail travellers are sold out already. But on the website of the czech railroad it’s still possible to book a seat reservation. My question is i if it’s ok to make the reservation on this website (and if it’s valid in combinaion with my interrail pass) or does it necessarily need to be booked via the Interrail-website? Best regardsJohannes
I’m planning a trip to Europe from the UK. I’d like to take the last Eurostar train back to the UK from Brussels on the last day of my pass, but am now wondering what would happen if my connecting train to Brussels, from Germany, is delayed. I’m aware that I should get a free seat on the next train the next day since it’s not my fault (and presumably a hotel night in Brussels?), but I’m concerned I’d get problems since my month would then have expired. Would I still be put on a train the next day without any issues? Or should I plan on getting an earlier Eurostar train? It’d give me much less time elsewhere so I would prefer not to, but I don’t want to get stuck in Brussels and have to buy a completely new ticket.
May I book seatas reservations on the web page, the costs are different at the eurail.app and the eurail web page, wich one should I use? the app doesn’t have all the seats, x eg. It doesnt appears cabin fee at night trains
So i am using the rail planner app to book my trains and keep track off the ones i wanna catch, but I don’t understand if the time that appears in the app is the local time of the countries. For example i am booking a train from portugal to spain, the departure time and arrival are in what timezone in this case ? Because they have a 1h time zone difference so if i leave portugal at 4 and catch a 2h train i arrive in spain at 6 portugal time but 7 spain local time. How should i book the trains ? Should I look at the time from the departure countries time zone or the destination.
I am making my reservations from London to Amsterdam, do I need to make two reservations one to Bruxelles-Midi and one to the final destination to Amsterdam Central?
I have booked a travel star from London to Paris on 17 august.I am trying to book a train from Bolton to London Euston on the same day in the morning. There is no online option to reserve tickets and the train station in Bolton said they have no idea about inter rail reservations. Anyone able to help? Thanks
Hi,i have booked a trip from Copenhagen to Hamburg 2 months back itself. At that time, for that train no reservations were needed. still now just that journey exists in my trip without any highlights ( like ‘seat reservations needed’ highlight notification which I got for some other trips )now I thought to change time of my journey and now it says seat reservation needed. So, I did not do any change. my question is if I continue with my original journey booked 2 months back, for which I have ticket (QR code), will it be sufficient or do I need to reserve seats there also? I am confused because QR CODE DOES NOT HAVE ANY SEAT NUMBER ,it just says second class. Kindly help me.Note; I have monthly EU global interrail pass
Hello, I am planning to travel from Sofia to Istanbul on the 23rd of July but I can’t manage to do a book reservation cause I am supposed to be at the local station to do it and I am currently in France. Could you please help me? Thank you in advance!
I am not sure if my recent experiences trying to book a couple of reservations, well in advance, across Italy are repeated elsewhere but here is my experience. We need to get from Monaco to Venice in September. Trenitalia shows a journey at 0901 with changes at Ventimiglia and Milan, but there seems to no way to book reservations only on their site. Neither OBB or Interrail planner showed this option until today, when the Interrail planner/reservation tool now showed the combination we wanted. Reservations from VM to Milan and Milan to Venice would be needed. OK so far - moved to reservation tool and proceeded to make both reservations. Went to check the cart, entered passenger details and it said one of the legs wasn’t available (The 3 euro intercity from VM). Really???? A basic Intercity 2 months in advance.Back to the planning phase. Now, with Monaco to Venice as search, it seemed that the VM to Milan had disappeared and the suggested option included 3 changes to Milan. Then tried si
Hello, is there a bucharest-halkali train? How much is the reservation fee?
Hi,I’m using a global pass (mobile).Previously, I’ve booked seat reservations with Eurail but this time did it directly from www.bahn.de.I received a copy of the seat reservations in my email and downloaded the DB app and the seat reservations are there but there is no QR code.I was just wondering whether I need a QR code and if I have done something wrong. Thanks
Buenas noches.
I need to catch the INT 480 train from Rijeka to Budapest tomorrow, the intarrail application says the seat reservation is mandatory, the interrail website won’t let me get a seat reservation, I contacted customer support and they redirected me to the Hungarian railway website, but I could not book a seat reservation alone, it only let me buy ticket+Seat reservation (even if I checked the box that said I already have a ticket/pass). From the Hungarian website it seems a though a reservation is not mandatory, as when you buy a ticket it asks weather or not you want to reserve a seat, but the interrail application says it is. So which is it ? How can I get a seat reservation ?PS: I know this is last minute, I’ve been trying to solve this issue for a while but customer service is slow and the websites unclear.
Hi - this may be a stupid question but I need all the help I can get with booking night trains for italy.I have found the trains I want on both italiarail and trentitalia websites but neither of these sites have an obvious option for applying the interrail pass to the booking. But when I try the interrail/eurrail reservation system it does not find any of the trains even though both other sites clearly have booking available. This is specifically for booking a night train/sleeper cabin.
Hi Everyone, I just booked a reservation from Zurich to Berlin for 14/8. The money has come out and the screen seemed to just blink off before I could take note of anything. Meanwhile I haven't received a confirmation email with the details. So, I decided to create an account and make an enquiry. I've had 2 other emails about the account and the enquiry but not the reservations. Is this unusual? Will they send it closer to the time? All other reservations seemed to be pretty automatic (French and English). Not sure if I should just buy another reservation. ThanksTam
Hello, we booked multiple tickets for our group, and want to cancel 1 person's tickets. They have all been booked through the interrail website and cost 10 or 13 Euro's each. Is this possible? I tried on the Italian Railway website, but it doesn't allow to select any of the tickets.
I’m trying to reserve the train that departs 1 week from now online. It says the reservation is available but when I put in my French hostel address it says:“Your order contains one or more paper tickets, based on our calculations your order will not arrive on time. Please send your reservations to another address, such as your hostel in Europe or try booking at a European train station.”How can this be? Is there no way around this? I tried calling SNCF last night and they said that there isn’t spots available but the Eurrail website says there are. I won’t be in Paris until the 26th and I fear the tickets might be sold out if I go to a station to book it then…Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you ❤️
Hey! So, unfortunately, 24th July is our last day and last travel day of our Interrail trip, our Passes are valid till this date. We’ve just recognised that we’ve bought earlier (like a month ago) our seat reservations on our very last train the Zürich - Budapest night train (14 € / person). This train departs on the 24th, but arrives next day, on 25th, consequently this, arrival date is not in the Pass validity. Yeah, we know, we should have thought about this way more before… But now the full fare tickets for this route are very, very expensive (100 € / person), which we frankly cannot afford. What should we do?? Are we in a trouble?? Such a bad situation…..
I’ve had a melt down of my emails; doesn’t look like I forwarded this one to my husband… and can’t find it anywhere on the site! I do have the reference number, but not any details of carriage, seats and etc., for tomorrow… and with travelling, I have to rely on all of the above… not printouts!
