Train connections & reservations

I booked seat reservations on Eurail.com on my laptop and printed out the seat reservations.  I have also downloaded the Rail Planner to which I attached my Mobil Eurail Pass.  Do I have to attach the seat reservations to the app or can I just use my paper confirmation of seats?  Thank you.  P.S. I just realized that the start date states 24Aug, when I am actually traveling on 25Aug.  How do I change that?  Thanks again! 

Hello, I'm planning a trip to Italy with my friend for August. We bought our tickets on oebb website for most our trip in Italy, but when we tried to look for Firenze SMN to Pisa centrale it says "tickets not available" for all trains. Does it means all the train are full? Cause I have a hard time believing it… is there another website where we can book the train tickets for Italy?  

Hey, i booked a seat reservation for direct train from Lyon to Barcelona. My question is if it’s possible to get in a stop after Lyon or two? Or do I have to board that train when my trip starts at the reservation.  thanks best regards luis 

Hi everyone, I was trying to book seats for me and my friends for the Munich-Bologna route.  But when we try to select it to pay, it tells us that it is not available.  Anyone know why these problems arise?

Hi, I’ve bought a interrail pass to go on Vacation to Italy. My plan was to take a night train from Amsterdam to Zuerich and use the same connection to go back. The train is run by the Night Jet as well as by the DB as an IC connection. I wanted to book the seat reservation but for both trains, the option was not available anymore. However, when I tried to book on the Deutsche Bahn app, the trains were available without any seat reservation necessary. Is it necessary to even buy a seat reservation for these trains then, if they would also be considered IC connections that apparently do not require a seat reservation? I really wanna take the night train connections as those are the fastest and most convienent. Could I just board the train then without making a seat reservation? I hope someone can help! And thanks in advance!! :-)

So, I want to travel from Bremen (GER) to Liverpool (UK) with a train, I bought a Pass and activated it with the app. Now I am looking for a good connection. I started to looking for it with google maps and found the route Bremen - Cologne - Bruxelles - London - Liverpool. It is starting at a good time and I don’t need switch as often as I would with other connections.Then I found the exact same route in the app, starting at the same time and taking the same first two trains from Bremen to Cologne and from Cologne to Bruxelles. But the next train from Bruxelles to London is for some reason two hours later then what google maps suggested to me. Even the website of Eurostar, which is the train from Bruxelles to London, says that there is a train 15.56 and at 17.56 but the app only shows the second train for which I would need to wait two and a half hours.So, my question is, is there any way to change only some trains or like only certain parts of your connection within the app because I

Why can’t I find train to rijen, Netherland (or Breda) on euro rail website, does it mean Rjen is not covered by Eurorail?  Rijen does have a train station.

Hello!I have been looking during the entire day for trains for 2 people where you are able to sleep from Hamburg. The information is very confusing and not straightforward so I’ve been stuck at this rote for many many hours. Are there any nighttrains available going to Paris (seems like no), Zurich, Prague, Krakow or something else available the 25th July (or alternatively 26th July)?  If someone knows I’m very grateful for your help. We’ve already paid parts of the trip, so any route thats pretty convenient regarding sleep from Hamburg would be good.Thanks a lot!

Hi! Trying to get from Prague to Copenhagen tomorrow. Eurail app says I don’t need reservations but I think it’s a lie. Any tips? I don’t mind taking the long way as long as it’s one travel day. Helppppp?

I am looking to reserve some seats on a train from Oslo to Copenhagen (via Gotenborg). The App says I need to reserve the seat but I cannot do it through the app or the website, (I seem to have this problem reserving any seats through the app/website and have booked them all through the train companies themselves). Does anyone know the best place to go to book a reservation for this train? Many thanks

Hi I’m trying to book a train from Firenze S. M. Novella to Naples centrale.  Specifically the train leaving the 13/07/22 at 6:00. I already figured how to get my pass covert number but when I try to make a reservation it says that the number is not valid.what can I do?

I booked several seat reservations for my trip to France, Switzerland, and Italy this week. I booked it two hours ago and haven't received the confirmation email yet. My payment is also succeeded.I got to this page but nothing in my email. Anyone else experience delayed confirmation and eventually secured the reservation? Thanks

Hi,I reserved 3 places on the train from Duisburg Hbf to Berlin Hbf. It departs on the 17th of July. After this reservation, I did not receive a confirmation e-mail. And it is also not showing in ‘my reservations’

So right now at the moment my girlfriend is coming home after a dreadful travel using interrail. The reservated seats never existed on multiple occasions which meant they had to book extra tickets that were not from the pass and had to pay extra money even though the pass should cover their train tickets. On multiple occasions they had to book residencies for the night because the booked train was full and they had nowhere to sit even though seats were reservated. Come to the final day of their pass they want to go home and booked a direct train from Prague to Amsterdam, however after preparing to leave and having booked their tickets a few weeks ago, they show up at the train station where the train that had their reserved seats never went and didnt even exist. So now they have to book new tickets and book a place to stay the night even though they followed Interrails instructions. How do i contact interrail about this cause they hide behind their chat  bot that has worthless answers 

When I called SNCF for a seat reservation I found out that my EU Visa card is not accepted. I was told that only American Express and French cards are accepted. As far as i know this is not legal. I also read somewhere that Visa cards are accepted. Is this normal or they just made up an excuse to not give seat reservations? Did it happen to you?

Hi I bought a seat reswrvation from Budapest to Craiova then Vidin then Sofia arrives at 17.17.and the sofia halkali departure at 18.30But in case of an delay i need to do the reserv fastly.How much is the resv fee?Can i pay with euro or credit card?And im gonna buy for tuesday 18 30 da i think it wont be too crowded ur thinks adn experiences?Thank u 

Hi all,First time traveller on the Eurail. My wife and I just purchased first class tickets and will be traveling through all of August.When I try to book some things like London to Amsterdam for example, a seat reservation is required and there is an option for a first class and second class seat reservation, but when I try booking from Amsterdam to Munich and Munich to Milan which are both overnight trips there is no option for a first class reservation, only a second class option, the first class reservation just comes up as N/A on the Rail Journey App. Is this because first class seats are all taken or another reason? I have added my pass to the app but have not activated it does this matter? Any help on this topic and anything else would be a massive help, including any experience with first class travel and if it is worth it Thanks in advance!Jesse 

Hello,We had a reservation from Budapest to Bucharest on the 13th of July, departing 19:10 from Budapest. . We had two tickets in a private compartment (2 people), however in the train the supervisor told us that the carriage was broken and we travelled in a four people compartment, despite we paid the full price for the 2-people option. Is there any possibility to ask for a compensation/refund, given that we travelled in a category different from the reservation?Thanks and regards

Hi, i am planning to travel from Basel SBB to paris but the train i am looking for is not available on rail planner app, but is showing on eurail website, the train that suits me is available on website of eurail but not on the application so i can add that trip to my mobile pass, what should i do? Should i add it manually?

Hello,I am trying to book from Brussels to Prague. All segments of this trip show as “ Ready to Board” however one segment shows “ You do not need a reservation but you can buy if you like” but then it also says that I cannot buy reservation seats since they are all sold out - What does this mean?Can we just show up there and board the train despite not having seat reservation?  Or we just cannot take this train? All segments of this trip on the website is showing in green as “ Ready to Board” Pls guide. ThanksSatbeer

We’re planning to visit the east of Europe and started to look for trains which will fit in out timetable. But now we are facing a problem, for every seat reservation the only option is to get it in paper form which is always 10$ extra?!  Do you know if there is another way maybe to get the ticket via mail or something like that ? We also heard that in Eastern Europe train reservation aren’t really necessary, is this true ?
