Train connections & reservations

The journey in question is Strasbourg → Munich on the 22nd of July at 10:50. The journey is through 3 trains (1 regional and the rest ICE).When I book on Eurail, I’m having to pay about 32 euros per train (8 euro x 4 passengers). So this amounts to 64 euros for the entire journey.But when I plug the same info into the Bahn website, I’m getting 8 euros for the entire journey?I know what a bargain is but this seems a bit much :) Have I done something wrong or is there something I’m not aware of?

Hi there!I‘ve been wondering how I could use my mobile pass as a bus ticket. As for train rides, you need to select your train in the app to activate the ticket, but I can‘t find any bus connections. I‘d like to use it in the city of Zurich and to just spontaneously hop on a bus or other city transport. Do you know how this works?Thanks!

Hi! Does anyone know how “reliable” or legit the manually added journeys are? Is there any way to ensure myself that the ticket will be valid and there wont be any issues with it? Thank you!

I am trying to book seat reservation everything goes in the basket but cant process

Hello everybody,I want to travel from Strasbourg (France) to Kassel (Germany). For the first train from Strasbourg to Karlsruhe a reservation is needed. For the second train, from Karlsruhe to Kassel, there is no reservation needed. When I want to buy this connection, I only have a reservation for the first train, for the second not. And that confuses me. When I bought my tickets for my outward journey from Germany to France, I had one train with reservation and one without, too. But there the train without reservation was booked too, so in my Mobile pass I have a ticket for that train.  What do I have to do now?  How can I book trains where no reservation is needed?(I have a mobile pass) Best regardsJohanna

Hello,I recently booked seat reservations for me and my friend for our trip to italy in august. The reservations i received are all located in the 1st class of the trains even though  we have 2nd class interrail passes. I suppose that we are not allowed to sit in the 1st class so i would like to get valid reservations for the 2nd class. I already wrote to the customer support but i didn´t receive an answer yet. Actually I don´t think that this is my fault so i really don´t want to pay for all the reservations again.Does anyone have any suggestions what i can do? Best wishes,Laura

I bought an interrail pass to go from Brussels to Spain and Portugal and to be able to move easily without too much planning. The first destination is Valencia. Unfortunately, I see on the rail planner that there are not so many connections, and of the connections that there are, most I cannot reserve through the railplanner app and it does not clearly say how I can. I just discovered this forum now, and I am a bit lost in all the information here (like, I can book reservations for french trains through Deutsche Bahn?). Any help would be appreciated :-). For now the best plan was taking a bus to Paris, because I assumed there were no bookable trains left because the railplanner app does not show them. But apparently there might be trains that aren't shown in the app?Where/on what website/… should I check for trains, and make the reservations (Brussels-France, within France, and France-Valencia)? I’m trying to reserve a direct night train from Munich to Venice on 22 July (NJ 40463). The system keeps on giving me an error at checkout saying that I need to look for an alternative route. When I search an alternative route, I see the same train (NJ 40463) but it shows that I need to change trains in Austria. It will not let me book the direct train from Munich to Venice, but it allows me to book the first leg to Austria. Can I book the first leg and just stay on the train all the way to Venice? Help is appreciated!

Does anyone know why there are no direct trains from Copenhagen to Hamburg in the Rail Planner app?

HI, I'm just checking if the train from Malmö to Copenhagen on 19.July runs but all the connections on the website say that there are no available tickets. Does this mean that we can still get on the train (we are four persons)? The seat reservations are not mandatory.

Hello all!I am going to Norway with a global pass this summer. I am trying to book trains from Kristiansand to Stavanger and from Bergen to Oslo, but the interrail app doesn’t show these trains.  Interrail website suggests to book through the app ENTUR (which actually shows the direct trains that I want), but if I use the app Entur, I have to pay the full price to book the train and the seat, since they don’t have the interrail pass information. How I am supposed to book the train and the seat if the interrail plan app doesn’t show the trains ?  Thank you for your help!Elodie  

There are some trains that you do not need a reservation, but still you can get one. Should we pay for the reservation even if it is not needed to board? What happens in the case that there are no more reservations, but these weren’t needed from the beginning? Can you still go in that train?

Hi everyone!I have a question concerning seat reservation on tgv. I want to take the train shown in the screenshot, but interrail tells me that it is not possible to make a seat reservation on that train. However I checked sncf site and there it is possible to book a train ticket for the same train, meaning that IT IS NOT SOLD OUT, but on sncf it is not possible to make a seat reservation with the option “interrail”. Hello!I’m trying to do this on CD.cz Website but “I want a reservation only” doesn’t appear :/ how is it necessary to do? 

I'm so grateful for the help I have already received here! There seems to be an endless amount of questions while planning a longer trip, so one more question. If I change from Vejle- Copenhagen airport to Copenhagen airport- Stockholm (time of arrival 12.25, departure 12.35), will the trains leave from the same platform, meaning, will there be enough time for the change?

I booked the train tickets for my trip last night. I'm leaving in 3 days. The payment seems to have gone through but I still don't receive any confirmation emails with my tickets. What can I do? 

Quick question,ill travel to London for 4 Days and found a nice connection. But on my way back it seems like every train from London to Brussel or Paris is fully booked with Interrail. Is there any chance that ill get my reservation on the 24.07 or is it normal that every Eurostar Train is booked. (I checked for Trains starting 22.07 - 10.08 and every single one is not available) thanks to your help

Hello, I am very sorry if this question has already been answered.I am planning to travel from Lyon-Part Dieu to Barcelona in September and I have read that it is possible to make a seat reservation per phone (which is new I assume?). Does anybody know what information I need when I make the call? (which cards are accepted and how does this work generally? Do I have to provide them just my card number?) Also, do I need my pass cover number for that?Since, I have 2 months left, there is also the possibility to buy it via the rail planner app, but then I’d have to wait for 6 weeks at least for the paper ticket to arrive, which sounds a bit risky.What would you suggest? Per phone, or online and wait? If it does not arrive on time, is there anything you can do? Thanks in advance,Cheers

I just wanted to let everyone know I have never experienced such a horrible site. This is absurd; the fact that I am not able to book my seat reservations smoothly is horrible. I will NEVER be referring Eurail to another person so as not to put them through the hell I have gone through. I am unable to book anything because this site is trash. There is no customer service whatsoever to help you and the fact I have to go to a community forum of a bunch of other confused people is disgusting. I would honestly cancel my ticket if my friend hadn’t already successfully (after 1.5 hours) gotten her reservations booked. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND WORST SITE EVER! Will never be booking through this scam again .

Bonjour,je voyage aujourd’hui depuis Zürich jusqu’à Vienne, de nuit. Je n’arrive pas à effectuer la réservation du siège qui est apparement obligatoire entre Zürich et Vienne.  Or, j’ai déjà ajouté le trajet à mon pass et j’aimerais savoir comment procéder pour réserver un siège ?est-ce possible qu’il n’y ait plus de place disponible malgré le fait que j’aie pu ajouter le trajet à mon pass ?  puis-je voyager sans réservation ?  merci d’avance pour votre réponse. 

What extra charge is there for reserving the Bucharest-Istanbul train when you hold an Interrail Pass. Also, it seems like one can buy tickets for this train using the Romanian State Railway Company’s website, but not sure if you can use the Interrail Pass on this website? Does anyone know?
