Train connections & reservations

We are planning to travel from Prague to Barcelona. I know there is a train from Paris to Barcelona. From Prague to Paris looks as if train makes a couple of stops. Can we get off and spend the night at these locations and get back on train the next day 

On the website from interrail you can read that my train has mandatory reservation but in the app its not even recommanded. What is right?   

Hello, Using the DB app: for some trains (international on ICE to Denmark/belgium) can't book a seat réservation.. Does it mean sold out?  And, any way to cancel a seat réservation? Asking here since db customer service is not responding.

Hello, I have a problem.I want to travel from Marseille to Barcelona in a little more than 2 weeks and now wanted to buy a seat reservation. And altough Interrail says, that the reservations in paper form will arrive if I buy them 6 days before the travel, it always states that it probably wont arrive in time.Can somebody help me? Are there no more seats available? Can I reserve them in another way?I would be very grateful to hear from you soon.Sincerely, Tobias

Bonjour !Nous avons une nouvelle question, nous voulons faire un certain trajet, avec notre global pass, mais en le recherchant sur l’appli rail planer, celle ci ne trouve aucune gare, alors qu’elles sont dans le partenariat avec interrail. Par exemple :Budapest - Belgrade : introuvable  Aucune gare en Bosnie alors qu’il y en a sur la carteAvez vous des explications à ce sujet ? Des solutions ? Merci à tous !

Hi,I am looking to book seat reservations for my group on the night train going from Bucharest to Budapest early July. It seems that interrail only offer paper tickets for this train which will not arrive to my house or my hostel in time according to interrail leaving me unable to proceed with my order. Is there anyway around this where I can book a seat reservation and use an email confirmation as my proof of purchase?Would we be better off to buy a seat reservation at the train station as soon as we get to Bucharest?If we are unable to secure a seat reservation would that lead us to not being allowed board the train? or would we still be able to board the train but have no seat?Looking forward to hearing any replies.

Hi, due to all the problems and uncertainty caused by the Interrail reservations process, I’m now considering just ‘paying’ for train tickets from the UK to Spain. The total cost is only GBP25 more than the Interrail plus all the reservations, but the difference could be zero if I can only get E20 Interrail reservations on SNCF - plus SNCF fares are refundable up to 2 weeks before travel, and Eurostar are exchangeable for free. And I don’t get the huge stress reservations and worrying about getting stuck! (I’m annoyed that I didn’t think of this earlier, as the Eurostar fares are now a lot more expensive than when I first checked).Can anyone tell me whether the ‘normal’ tickets in Spain have a compulsory reservation also? I see on the Renfe website that they have an ‘optional’ reservation for an extra E8, however if you don’t pay the E8, is it (A) you just have to choose a non-reserved seat when you get on board, and if you’re unlucky you might not get a seat with your companion, or (B

Hi!I'm going on an interrail trip with my family this summer. Part of this trip is the connection Prague-Zurich on August 7 (arrival on August 8). The planners says this train is running (EN 50466, departure 18:01, arrival 8:20), but it is not possible to make a reservation for beds. Not on this website, not on the Czech, Swiss of Austrian railway website. Does anyone have an idea how to book this train?Maarten

Hi! help pls so i’m planning to go to hamburg, i already made my reservation from Barcelona to Paris, and i have a 50 min time to make the connection. When i made this reservation (Barcelona-Paris) the guy in the ticket office told me he could only make that one, not the whole thing all the way to Germany. I was confident (i know now i was wrong) that i would be able to do it one day early. Im trying to make the reservation for Paris-Frankfurt and i cant, but i checked other days and I cant any day, it says“no price results were found for this connection. is it possible that the train is fully booked for pass holders…”but i checked on the DB website and they still have seats. i don’t know what to do, i have only 50 min in Paris and i’m afraid they won’t give me the seat. please help ):  (i also tried other dates and it always says that) (and i checked on interrap, BD, others and idk what to do should i just try when i get to paris?) 

Hi, I want to book a reservation from Paris to Frankfurt (the first train of my trip...) but when I go on the websites it says the prices are unavailable at the moment and I should try later. The weird thing is that when I connect with another navigator it shows me the price (13€) but an error occurs when I want to proceed to payment.Do you know if that means the train is full ? Can I buy a ticket in a station instead ? Thank you

We are reaching Chur via Bernina Express only at 6:20 pm in the evening.  When I look for tickets from Chur to Zurich for that evening - there seems to be only 2 trains left and they dont take reservations.  What if the trains are full and I am traveling with a party of 4?  How do i buy tickets to any other train from Chur to Zurich.Can you send me details of other regional trains or operators where I can buy ticket to Zurich using EU Rail pass?

I’m kind of stressed out because I can’t seem to be able to book the night train from Budapest to Timisoara. Or Split to Villach Hbf. Nor the train from Timisoara to Craiova.  i found alternative trains but now I am too late to order them or even send them to my hotels address as I leave in a month. What do I do?

Hi!I want to go from Barcelona to Bologna and the Railplanner app suggested the following route:9:10 Barcelona-Sants13:32 Valence TGV Rhone-Alpes Sud26 min Change trains13:58 Valence TGV15:39 Chambery Challes Les Eaux5 min (!!!) Change trains15:44 Chambery Challes Les Eaux18:15 Torino Porta Susa55 min Change trains19:10 Torino Porta Susa21:24 Bologna I realize this is a more than a 12 hour trip, but I have no problem with that. What I am concerned about is the 5 min change in Chambery Challes Les Eaux, is that even possible? Does you guys know if those trains leave from the same platform or how I could find that out beforehand?Also: There are “Seat reservations required” on the trains crossing the borders (30-35€ each) + the last trip Torino → Bologna (10€). Does that actually mean that you have to book reservations in advance? Hi I'm planning to do this this July, its a bit ambitious but it should be possible. I'm wondering if anyone has some advice as to how early I would need to book all these trains. (Also bearing in mind we're arriving in Paris on the le Fête National.) Thanks

I would like to book a train from Paris CDG airport to Lyon, however, the eurail reservation website says it is unavailable, and suggests for me to go on to the train station.  I also tried to book on SNCB, it is unable to do so. I would like to avoid booking fees 2€, is it possible to try on any other websites? And based on experience, is the Paris to Lyon train crowded?

Hi!I’m trying to book sleeping compartments for my friends and I on the night train from Trondheim to Bodoe in Norway. But when I try to book the ticket, I can’t chose between the simple seats and the sleeping compartments. we are in Norway from 27.07-14.08 and have planned our trip with the app Rail Planner. Unfortunately we can't book any reservations under "https://www.interrail.eu/de/book-reservations" because it says that the tickets arrive too late at our place (Austria).How and when can we make the seat reservations?Thanks in advance for the support!

Hi all , I am from Ireland and for most of my train journeys it says i need seats but when i try reserve them it says i wil not get them in time ? can i go inott the Dublin train station and sort all my seats from in there ? or what is my options ? any feedback would be a great help.

I know that it’s not possible to make Spanish reservations on the Interrail app and you have to make them in person at a train station in Spain (absolutely crazy!). I am planning to get to Spain on a Sunday, but want to take another train on the Monday, if I go the ticket office in the first station I arrive at in Spain, how likely is it that trains for the next day will be ‘sold out’? Or trains for 3 or 4 days later (especially the high-demand Madrid > Barcelona train)?  Thanks for any experiences/info.PS I am travelling in late October

I booked my reservation from Brussels to Barcelona and made the payment, but I got an email from you saying that, although you received the payment, due to technical glitch the reservation couldn't get through. I replied to the email choosing the option that you will rebook it for me. However, until now I cannot see the reservation neither on our app nor your website. Please help me! I cannot reach a human at EU Interrail. I have written them several times but they haven't responded yet... 

Hello, I am traveling to Europe in 2 weeks and for one of my trains in Italy I have a reservation booked from a specific station. However, due to a change of plans it would be a lot easier for me to hop on the train at a later station. Can I just hop on the train with the same reservation ticket I already purchased? After all it’s the same exact train just 2 or 3 stops after the one my ticket says. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’m planning to make a trip from Italy to France and from France to Spain. One day of travel is giving me problem, moving from Bordeaux to Madrid. The Rail Planner notifies the need for reservation, but it seem that all the reservation seats are unavaible. The problem is that there is no alternative and going with regional train needs something like 38 hours and a radical change of the itinery. Can someone help for the reservation or suggest alternatives? Thanks
