Train connections & reservations

I purchased a 5 day pass for my registered disabled son. Then i obtained a free carer pass for myself to accompany him. My problem is connecting the two passes to same trip so i can reserve adjacent seats on trains ( very important for my son ). The system only lets me reserve one at a time so no guarantee of adjoining seats . Any advice  ?

Hello ​@Eurail Community Moderator  I’m experiencing difficulties in booking reservations. On the website the trains I’m given in the app don’t show up so I’m unable to match the planning of the journey with the actual booking of reservations. This is making all more expensive as I find myself having to pay double on board. hope you can assist with this issue.all the best, Guido

Hello, I bought the 1th class interrail pass to avoid not to have to pay for the seat reservations but now it still shows that I would have to pay for it. How do I do the seat reservation without having to pay? kind regards, Miisa Koivula

When I try to book a seat reservation for Paris to Brussels, the eurail app gives this message:No price results were found. Pass holder reservations may be sold out for this connection, but there are other ways to check for available seats—more info below our timetable.When I check the Eurostar website, there are tons of seats available.What do I need to do?

Hi,I had already made some seat reservations before I downloaded the interrail app on my phone. Now that I have downloaded the interrail app, I added the journey and want to connect the made seat reservations to the journey on the interrail app.  Is this possible?  Kind regards,Janne

Hello there,We are planning a travel with a group of friends, and we're wondering what was the best way to proceed in our scenario.We are pretty much all living in different cities in the same country, and will therefore start out journeys with different itineraries.On our first day of travel we will then take different trains in the morning, then progressively gather in 2 different points until we all travel together for the 2nd half of the day. Then we will travel together for two weeks, and again progressively divide the group on our way back home in the last days.What would be the best way to proceed for seats booking ? We would like to seat together whenever possible for the common journey, but we are unsure how to do this with the limiting number of pass transfer between devices (only 1 time ?).Has someone experience with a similar travel ?Thanks in advance ! Edit : just to be precise, we need to book seats for the separate parts of the travel (first and last day of the journey)

Hi, I have the Interrail Global Pass and a seat reservation from Paris to Lyon Part Dieu.Now I realize that my train terminates at Lyon Perrache which is close to my hotel. If possible I like to stay on the train to Perrache. So my question is: would that be ok (the pass covers the full trip) or could there be a problem as the reservation is to Part Dieu only? 

Hi, so I was putting some seat reservations in my cart on the website and was using my 4 free credits. As I was browsing for more, it said that my old ones where expired and that I would have to remove them from my cart. Problem was that I actually couldn‘t remove them and it told me to try again later. So I tried again the next day and it still didn‘t work. Now I‘m stuck because I can‘t get my credits back and I somehow can‘t even book reservations with money because the other ones are still in my cart. Anybody have the same problem and know how to fix this?my trip is in a week and I don‘t know what to do. 

I'm trying to book a train to go from Italy to Vienna that requires a mandatory reservation, but I couldn't take it at that time and it expired, and it stayed in the shopping cart, but I tried to remove it to add that same train, since it asks me to do that, and it doesn't let me delete it, it gives me an error, and I've been like this for about 4 days.

My partner and I each have a pass on our mobile.   One of us will book tickets and make seat reservations for both of us.  How do we get tickets to show on both devices?  

i’ve been trying to add my interrail pass onto my sncf connect profile so I can book train seats directly on the sncf app (because sometimes i cant get them in interrail app). I needed to book a train journey which the interrail app said my be sold out so i went into Montparnasse station and asked them if they could help me book my seat reservation. they booked it for me and i asked if i could  have done it myself on the sncf website, which they said yes to! now I'm back home trying to book another seat reservation on the sncf, and I cannot find a way to tell sncf website/app that i have an interrail pass and therefore don't need to pay full price. has someone managed to figure this out? thanks!

Hello, we didn’t understand the app and now maybe have a problem. We sign in in the app and make our resevation with the passa namber and our names following app instructions (we thought). So we have all our reservation, we recived by email and we have on paper and in the selfphone, but not in the app. will it be a problem?We leave tomorrow and are a little worried. Thanks

Hi, I hope you're doing well. I'm writing to ask for assistance with booking seat reservations for my Interrail journey. I already have my Interrail Pass, but I’m finding it difficult to book seats because it gets stuck loading. Does anyone know how to fix this?

HiWe are currently planning a trip that includes a long day from Munich, Germany to Newcastle, UK. (Munich to Paris by ICE / Eurostar Paris to London / LNER train to Newcastle)In theory this is very doable with the correct allowances made for connections etc… ...however I am concerned what happens if a train is delayed to the point that we would need to continue on the following day.I’m not too concerned if the ICE causes us to miss the Eurostar as I know they are typically pretty good with this, it’s more that final trip from London to Newcastle. Say we are delayed such that we end up on a train that arrives into London on the Saturday after the last train to Newcastle has departed my understanding is that we would then require a hotel and a train on the Sunday. The two key questions are:What are we entitled to in this situation? How does one prove /obtain that entitlement?

End of July, I’m traveling from Germany to Sicily, so far, so good. For my way back, 12th of August 2025, I would like to take the Inter City Notte from Milazzo to Milano. Somehow, there is no possibility yet to get seat reservations in August. Is there a problem with the railway or is it just too early to book? Thank you :)

The seat reservations in shopping cart have expired and can’t be removed. Have accumulated an unwanted amount in cart. How do you empty shopping cart?

Hello everyone! I purchased a Eurail pass and booked seat reservations from London to Amsterdam a week ago with no problems. I am now trying to book seat reservations from Amsterdam to Warsaw. I was able to secure the seat reservations from Amsterdam to Berlin, but when I go to book them from Berlin to Warsaw, it gives me the following message: “No longer available. This seat reservation is only available as paper ticket and can't be delivered to you in time. Try booking in person at the station.” My main concern with this is that when I arrive at the Berlin station (with 2 hours in between trains) that all seat reservations will be sold out. I don’t want to spend money on actual tickets as I have gotten the pass and would like to use the seat reservations. I would appreciate help with this if anyone has had experience with the same thing in the past or has any advice that might help me! Thank you so much in advance!!

HelloThis July i am going on a trip with my friends, and we are boarding on normal trains for almost every destination. However, on our trip from Amsterdam to Berlin we decided to book an European Sleeper through the interrail web.Is it necessary to add that reservation to my pass or can i enter the train only by showing the ES ticked i have reserved?If it is necessary, how do I add it to a travel day?Thanks

I have selected all my reservations, want to pay but there is always a message that my data cannot be stored, so I can not pay. How can I change that or what am I doing wrong?

Hello! I'm leaving soon on my Interrail pass. I want to take a train from Paris to Luxembourg on the morning of June 28th. But it says the information isn't available. What should I do? How do I reserve a seat? Or can I get on without a reserved seat? 

Hi, I want to buy an interrail pass for the summer, but I am not sure yet, how many travel days I will need. This is why I do not want to buy a pass yet. However, I already know that I would like to travel from Brussels to London at one specific day. I read in this post https://community.eurail.com/ask-the-community-40/making-eurostar-reservations-before-buying-pass-15151?tid=15151&fid=40 that you can make seat reservations before buying a pass by entering a 8-digit random pass number.However, the website tells me that my random pass numbers are invalid and does not allow me to proceed with the booking. I also tried the pass number of an ancient pass, but it leads to the same problem.Do you know how to solve this issue ?Is there still a way of making Eurostar seat reservations before buying a pass ? Thank you in advance !Best wishes,Anne 

I don't think Renfe actually post long-distance (as opposed to Cercanias) Ancho Metrico timetables *anywhere* on their website, and I wasn't having much luck googling, so in the end I emailed them about the León-Bilbao line, and they sent me this.Annoyingly I don't think it's viable for me to use this train for my own purposes (the 15 minute change at León from the daily train from Vigo/Ourense is way too tight), but hopefully anyone else wanting to can make use of this rare timetable.Not sure if the permanent replacement bus between the city centre and the Universidad stop departs from the main station or the closed FEVE station, that's a question for the next person to investigate! Also consider finding out which of potentially 3 places in León it may be possible to acquire your free ticket to access the platforms…If anyone else has any obscure FEVE timetables, tips or whatever, you're more than welcome to post below, or start a new thread if you like as I'm not sure I can change the

Why are there two times set for a train that leaves from the same station?

Since the 16th of April, Arriva Denmark calls itself “GoCollective”, since Arriva Denmark was bought of “Mutares”, a German company which tries to return the company to recognized and undisputed profitable market leaders...The question now is: Is Interrail still valid at these trains, now operated by GoCollective? Please update your information concerning the valid danish transport operators as Arriva is still named.
