Train connections & reservations

I booked train reservations for my family’s Frankfurt to Amsterdam leg of our trip. When looking to print the tickets, I realized they said silent compartment. We are traveling with children. Does anyone have any advice on how I can change these tickets? Thank you so much!

Hi,i have a problem with the seat reservations I want to buy a seat from Wien Miedling to Venezia Mestre.If there are no seats left,can I still get on the train without a seat or there is no option to get on the train?

I tried for the first time to book a journey from Hamburg to Vienna with NJ. But I see that there is a notification that says “Tickets not available”. Does that mean that there are no tickets available or have I misunderstood something or missed some information?

We are currently in Scotland. We are trying to book a trip to Germany, that stops over in London, but somehow we can't. We tried to test it if its just London. But we can't book anything. We paid for the one month pass for approximately €682ish or $1100+ NZD.  We were wondering, if there are extra costs to actually book a train ride etc. What is the use of buying that expensive one month pass? Help please. If only we knew, we wouldn't have booked a eurail pass that expensive if it was going to be useless

Hello,I just activated my pass. Issued first ticket for a short trip. I chose a specific time. But what if I miss the train?. Can I take the next one.?Sorry, I  am not able to go through the previous answers if somebody already asked. Also, if I am siting on a seat noted as reservation with read light indicated, does that mean it is already reserved and I shouldn't sit there?Thank youMaymol

Hi! I'm trying to book a reservation for a train between Hamburg and Paris June 16th at 05.54 but it seems to be some issue.At the interrail website it says "Prices unavailable" and when I go to DB website it says "Reservation impossible".Anyone who experienced the same and how did you managed to book the reservation?   

Hi,I have a seat reservation for my Amsterdam - Berlin train. I made the reservation on the DB website and they gave me a proof of payment (ticket with the seat location). Do you know if I have to add it to my interrail pass or with the proof of payment is enough? Thank u

Hi! Are seat reservations required on the trains within Montenegro or within Serbia?As it is not possible to reserve online in advance I am wondering whether I only can jump on a train or I need to make the reservation. Also, how much do the reservations cost if they are required?

Are you guaranteed a seat if you have a eurail pass?  I bought this not realizing seat reservations are required for my itinerary for Spain and it is only allowing me to reserve in person.  I am afraid I will not get a seat since I only arrive two days before I travel on the train.

I have made a reservation for a Night train Budapest-Brasov on 9 July and it is compulsory to be received by mail, but it says it would be received on 7th July and I will be travelling on that date. Is there any possibility to print those seat reservations by email? Or receive it in my direction and any familiar scan it and I print it afterwards?

I reserved two seats on the TGV 8362 from La Rochelle to Paris in 1st class. As the train was replaced with a different composition of carriages we were no longer able to travel in 1st class.Are we able to get any compensation as we couldn’t travel 1st class or any refund on our reservations?

Hello, I try to book London to Newcastle on july 4 and always get this answer on all the trains: “Not Available from interrail.eu” Could this mean that it is not at all possible to book this ticket true my interrail pass? So i will have to buy/pay the ticket? Or what do i do if i want to use my interrail pass for this trip. Thank you for the reply!

Hi everyone.  I am nearly through planning a trip later in the year but need help with one leg.  I want to travel in the Netherlands from Amsterdam to Middleburg.  I can see the journey if I search on ÖBB but not if I search on Eurail.  So, If I add the journey manually will my pass be valid for this journey (and do I need to buy another bloody seat reservation!?) thanks!

Dear Interrail Team, we want to travel from Germany to France next week. Since there were no more reservations available for our route, we wanted to purchase seats on travel.b-europe.com. Unfortunately, this is only possible with a pass cover number and its not available on mobile pass, I am asking you to please direct message me this info.  Thank u very much!Julia 

I am trying to buy a seat reservation on a train from Barcelona to Paris. When I click on the train i it says that the seat - reservation will be delivered by post, which costs extra. I want it to be delivered per mail is there an opportunity to choose or change the way of delivery? 

We are travelling from Switzerland to Italy and have a 1 month 1st class Eurail pass for my family of 4 (all adults) i dont see any of the fast trains on the website to book however i do see them on Rail Europe. How do i load my Eurail Pass to Rail Europe for bookings as well as to the SBB website and Trenitalia - i dont see anywhere to add the pass because it doesnt list Eurail specifically.  Any tips or help you can provide, I’d appreciate. Thanks in advance,Theresa

Hi! My name is Aimee. I am traveling with a group of 14 people. We want to go from Paris to Interlaken, Switzerland on June 30th and we have the global passes. We have to be in Interlaken by 1530 at the latest. Eurail.com says I can only do 9 reservations at once, and some of the trains will only take 5 reservations. My questions are:For the trains that only do 5 or 9 reservations at a time, does that mean that there are only 5 (or 9) spots available for pass holders?  Do I have to pay for 1 set of 5 (or 9) people, then go back for the next set? When I try to switch to the 2nd group of travelers, the site says the train is already in my cart.  Is there a way to find out if one of the trains has 14 spots? I don’t want to book half my group on one train & half on another train. Thank you!Aimee

Currently me and my friend are in frankfurt and planning on going to Berlin, Prague, Budapest, Vienna, bari then Rome Florence, Lyon, bourdeux then end in Paris for the rest of our trip. I have a global pass for eurail. We were able to book our reservations from Prague to Budapest via cd.shop. Then Budapest to Vienna without a seat reservation. I was able to use eurail website to book a reservation and pay from Vienna to Rome to bari. The payment went through but the next day I got an email saying that the Rome to bari leg didn't go through and they refunded me not even willing to rebook it for us. when looking for seat reservations for any trip in Italy and even France no options(prices) show up when using the website and it says "prices are temporarily available". I refreshed many times (every hour I searched) and still couldn't get a price. Using Italia rail website to try and reserve seats I couldn't find any trains and it didn't load. How can I travel through Italy to France with

Anyone else having trouble reserving seats? Trying to reserve a seat from Amsterdam to Berlin, and it said that the leg was not available again but literally every single leg is unavailable. And it’s not even a seat that’s required. And why would it even give me the option to select the seat if when It’s time to pay for it, it tells me that it’s unavailable?

I just called renfe and made a seat reservation for me and my children (all with interrai passes). The operator gave me a code, called something like Locator number, and told me I need to find it in the interrail site to pay for the seat reservations.They also said they will send the code to my email.1 - Does anyone know where can I add this Locator number in the interrail site? Has anyone some experience with renfe and this way of booking seat reservations?2 - What are best practices when the seat reservation is not possible to do in the interrail site? Neither on deutsche bahn site and neither on scnf or renfe… etcI did not get any email from them… now I am afraid there is no seat reservation and I will miss this connection :(Thank you in advance for any help.

Hi, i’m from ItalyMy friends and I have bought a global pass ticket for Spain, because we wanted to leave from our country, but we have a problem with the seats reservations, especially the one on the travel from Valence Tgv Rhone-Alpes Sud to Barcelona-Sants, because, when we are about to book the seats, they ask us the paper ticket but they won’t let us go on booking the seats saying that they wouldn’t arrive in time even though the on the site it says that we can book the seats at least 6 days before and we have plenty of time. Is there a way we can solve this problem? Can we book the seats in an other way?thanks

Hi! I’m going to make all Seat reservations for this year’s Interrail, but I had a problem with railway Line Bologna-Napoli ( 21 august ). I also tried with oebb.at anyone can help me? 

Trying to plan our trip to Europe this fall.  We are looking to take the highspeed train from London to Paris.Do I need to buy a pass for this one trip?  There doesnt seem to be anywhere or anyway I can book just this one trip without getting a pass.   If I dont need a pass, where can I book the train tickets ahead of time?
