Train connections & reservations

Do you know if there is trains between Patras or Igoumenitsa and Athens ?I find only proposals of bses on Internet.And in that case, are the buses included in the Interrail/Eurorail included ?Thanks a lot for your answers.Have a nice evening,

I am trying to make a reservation from Budapest to Prague by the night train. On the Hungarian website MAV, when I added the interrail pass to my train cards, the price for a 2nd class seat reads 58.9EUR, and i believe there is no discount at all (the same price as without the interrail pass):   (btw what is this 57.9eur “europa flex cz” thing? there is no way to deselect it.) I tried to book on the CZ website as well, but there is no 2nd class seat option. So how do i correctly reserve a 2nd class seat for the Budapest - Prague night train? Cheers, Terry

Hi folks, i’m having a little difficulty. I booked reservations on the eurail website for the eurostar for June 10th, and then realised I wanted to change reservation to June 9th. I was able to do this easily on the eurostar website, as they let you change the time/date of a ticket up to 7days before travel.However, I now have tickets for the 9th, but my reservations on my pass still says I have reservations for the 10th, and I don’t want to use the 10th as a travel day (or risk the reservations not working for some reason!).If I cancel the reservation on here (using the trash bin icon as suggested on the Reservations Overview page) will that void my new ticket, on the 9th, and give me a refund (that I don’t want)? Or will it just get rid of the ‘reservation’ that I no longer have a ticket for anyway, and free up that travel day?Any ideas? ThanksEvan

can I just hop on a train without booking reservations and sit on the floor?

Hey, I have good news for traveles to/in Italy. It is possible to book Interrail Reservations via ÖBB App or tickets.oebb.at (like Freccie 10€, IC 3€), without additional booking fee like via interrail.eu, eurail.eu or italiarail.com. I haven't try to book it yet but I can go till the paying site.Note: The reservation has to be printed on paper at home or collected at ÖBB Ticket Offices or ÖBB Ticket machines.

I have been trying to reserve my seat for a trip from Paris Nord to London- preferably Paddington, but happy with Waterloo as well. I don't understand how the seats are already booked up when the rule is that you can only book 3 hours before the train. It let me book my train ticket for Amsterdam to Paris, which is a week from now- so why can't I book this one?? It is saying that I might have to book through Eurostar directly - which will cost me 150 euros.... What is the point of this eurail pass if I can't use it for a very basic train trip?! I am just so confused about how this pass works, would appreciate any advice or explanation anyone has for me! Thank you so much. 

Hi! I’m trying to plan my journey and I would like to go to some Balkan countries. However, I can’t see any timetable for them in the interrail app. Do you know where I can see when the trains go from  example Zagreb to Belgrade and Belgrade to Sarajevo? Also do I add it manually when I found the train times or how does it work?Thanks for your help! :)

Hi which mainline stations in London can I book seat reservation for trains in France?  

Howdy I’m seeking informatin regarding the current strikes in France. On the thalys website I can find information regarding the trains that I’m planning to take tomorrow (very convenient that they strike the day prior) However, regarding my follow-up SNCF trains I can not find any information on their website, or on their app. Please tell me I won’t have to call them again and wait for hours in the waiting line.. thanks

I'll be in Spain for 2 weeks leaving on June 14th.Part of my trip has me traveling from Cordoba to Ronda on the 25th. While searching the train schedule I see that there's only 1 time available to make a reservation which is 17:15.Am I stuck with that time or can I just use the pass for a  non reservation on an earlier train?I'm hoping that I'll be able to catch a much earlier travel time. I  planned on 2 days in Ronda and Sentinel de las bodegas and hope that my plans don't go awry because of scheduling.

Hi, i’m planning a trip through multiple countries (Austria, Germany and Italy). When planning out my train schedule in “book reservations” for trains “included” in my pass I’m sometimes met with:1) “You’re ready to board”  2)  an extra cost (example: for a night train (nightjet) from Cologne to Vienna) 3) “You're ready to board, You can buy a seat reservation if you like but it's not required.” 4) “+ Additional supplement required, You will need to pay an extra supplement at the station or on board the train.”I’m wondering what these mean exactly.Does “1)” mean i don’t need a reservation or anything else and can just show up and hop on at the station ?If I pay the extra cost for “2)”, I will be sent an electronic ticket. Is that enough in combination with my pass to board the train ?For “3)”, how do I know if a seat reservatiion is necessary (to avoid finding no seat on a full train)? And just to make sure, for “4)”, Am I right for thinking the ticket person will just ask me to pay a

Hey everybody,since one can only use their global pass to leave and enter their homecountry ONCE, I was wondering if the following scenario is possible: Can I travel from Zürich (Switzerland) to Salzburg (Austria) using trains traversing Germany (my homecountry)?And if that was the case, could I furthermore exit the train in Munich, recording in my Interrail pass like I went to Salzburg all the way. And continue my journey several days after from Salzburg? (I would defininetly not be doing that if it was possible 😉 )  Thank you for your answers and have a great day :) 

I have booked reservation using Global Interrail passes to take a night train from Nice to Genova. I have been charged 122 euro for first class travel but have been issued second class tickets at 3 euros. There are 7 of us travelling. I had intended to book the first class berths. I am assuming the berths are sold out and have been allocated the seats. Is it straight forward to receive the difference for the incorrect payment?

I am having real difficulties booking reservations and have not got a clue why. I purchased my interrail pass via the uk site myinterail.co.uk. Recieved an e-mail confirming purchases with order number and pass number. Input these details into the rail planner app and thought I would be then start booking seat reservations. However, when I come to try and reserve the seats (which you can only do using the eurail site) I cannot see my pass. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? It is drive me insane and I have no response to an e-mail I have sent to both eurail and interrail. Thanks

Hi, the seat reservation in the 2nd class of the train I intended to take is booked out while in the first class there’s still availability. My Global Pass is for 2nd class. Is it possible to pay an extra fee in order to book a seat reservation for the 1st class? 

Hi,I would like to travel from Trondheim to Oslo and have to book a seat reservation for this trip. The problem is that I can’t find the self-print option. Does this mean I can’t choose to self print? That would be rather annoying since shipping adds like 9 eur to the total cost.thanks for the help

Goodevening,I would like to make a reservation for my seat place in the train. I’ve tried everything but it’s not working (the website). It says that the prices are not available and that I have to try it again within a few hours. How can I make a reservation? If it’s not working can I still go by that train? Hello, We have 8 passengers (2 families: 4 adults, 4 kids) booked on single Eurail Global Pass itinerary/order. We have 8 paper passes in our hand, here in USA. We are trying to make reservations on trains in France (Lyon - Paris, Paris - Brussles) and it only allows us to book for 5 passengers maximum. Is there a way we can book all 8 passengers at the same time? We tried to split the global pass individuals into two groups of 4, but are not able to do it on Eurail website. What is the easiest way to accomplish that? Our trip is in 3 weeks, and want to get reservations done in peak summer time. Thank you for your help. 

Hello,I’m trying to book a trip from Montpellier (France) to Paris (France), as part of my outbound travel day (transfer in Paris before going outbound).Interrail says ‘no prices available’ whereas I can see trips available on sncfconnect, so I’m trying b-europe. If I set ‘interrail pass 2nd class - France’, I have no results, but if I choose any other country, I’m getting results.Is that become the system cannot understand that it is transfer in Paris? Should I book by giving a wrong country?

It is said : prices temporarly unavailable - try in a few hours. Nothing change as the days go by. We are now planning our trip and thought of taking an ÖBB Nighttrain (Amsterdam-Innsbruck) where a seat reservation is mandatory. Since we obviously want to have our seats next to each others, I kindly wanted to ask if this is possible and, if yes, which steps we have to follow to be seated next to each other.Thanks for helping! :)
