It looks also like every train is already booked. I wanted to book the train on 15:10. How can i make a seat reservation for this train? I hope someone can help me.
As I am now in FRance and travelled yesterday and then overnight to the south a few points to clarify due to recent topics raised. These are from trying out on the long-distance (purple) machines to see how it works and what is available. These machines work the same all over FRance. There are also blue machines for local tickets only without any REServation and the like.It takes a fairly long way but it is possible to make REServations as passholder (differntiated between IR and EU and for both 1st or 2nd). Set up trip, probably for ´later/other station´ then there follows a very long list of types of pax (age, help needed for handicap, etc.) and then a page for ´reductions´ (I always use the French text-you can set them to /en/ and mostly also /de/). Click on MORE/autres there comes the Ir/EU option etc.It will take a few seconds but then appears an overview on date/time chosen for connections and prices to pay. To my utter amazement sometimes it even showed 2 connecting TGV for 10€
I’m just considering buying an Interrail for me and my son for a 10-day trip from the UK into France and Spain. Last time I had an Interrail was 30 years ago - all paper-based, and very very few reservation fees!If we want a train journey with a connection (for example Granada to San Sebastian, which has at least 1 and maybe 2 or 3 connections) - do you have to make and pay for a reservation for every single ‘leg’ of the journey? For a journey with 2 connections, that would be E10 + E2 Interrail reservation fee on the app.. x 2 ‘legs’ = E24 just for reservations, per person? Is that correct?I have even read that you can’t actually book reservations on the Interrail app for Spanish trains, is that correct? So how would you do it - only in person at the station? It all sounds like a nightmare, possibly not worth it!!Thanks for any info!
After much searching, I have finally come to understand how miserable it is to try to use a Eurail pass in France. This was not the case last time I used the pass many years ago. I now have 2 first class passes, and I cannot seem to make any reservations for any French trains. Eurail claims that they can do it, but everything comes up “price not available” even months in advance. DBahn also has the same issue. B-Europe says it can’t find any trains. My first leg is 05/27 from Paris to Bayeux (small town in Normandy). There are multiple trains per day going that route, and there’s no way they’re all booked at this point. I have $70 worth of long distance charges trying to call SNCF (didn’t expect that from my phone plan!). I wait on hold for 15 minutes, and the automated system says something very fast in French and hangs up on me. Great use of time/money! I’m completely fed up with this whole process. I’m about ready to cancel the stupid pass, rent a car, and drive everywher
Hi! I am traveling using a global Eurail pass this summer for France, Italy, and Spain. I have a mobile pass and have paid for seat reservations on trains from Bordeaux to Paris and Florence to Rome. In the emails for our bookings they say we need to print out copies of our tickets, even though we have the mobile pass. Why is this the case and what will actually be needed when we board the train? The email says this: “Remember, you’ll need physical copies of your reservations to show the conductor on board the train, along with your eurail Pass. Showing this email won’t be enough, so make sure you keep your print-outs somewhere safe.” I just don’t understand why we’d need paper copies if we already have a mobile pass??? We’re also trying to find trains from Paris to Barcelona but now realize you must have a paper pass that is mailed. How realistic is it that we could book a train a few days in advance from Paris to Barcelona at a station in Spain in person when we get there?
Digging through the posts about Portugal reservations, I understand that I won’t be able to make my reservation until I am actually there. However, I am concerned about actually being able to get seats on a popular train route (Faro-Lisbon) for the dates that I want to travel. It’s all over the eurail website to reserve ASAP because clearly summer is a busy time. I won’t be in portugal until 4 days before I want to take the train (in July). I think I have read somewhere that Portugal does not have the same restrictions as France, etc, on the number of eurail passholder seats per train - can someone confirm this or help point me towards more information? Thanks! Also, is anyone else disappointed in the Eurail program for southern europe? I ended up just buying tickets for Spain individually and am going to just leave travel days unused because I was watching trains fill up before my eyes (for dates months out), because I had no way to book reservations and didn’t want to mess up destina
Hi! I’m thinking of buying an interrail card; however, i am not sure whether there are seats for the train i want to. If i search through the Interrail website, are all the trains I see available for reservation? Or will there be some shown that have already been fully booked? Thanks in advance! Best,Kaya
I am trying to book a sleeper from Edinburgh to London bu can I avoid the 20 mins of the night I leave being counted as a day of my pass? I leave 23.40..the app seeems to suggest I book it from the next station but I cant do that at a booking office
On the interail reservations page I cannot book and I cannot get any tickets at all fro this train on the Austrian rail https://tickets.oebb.at/ website - whether or not I put in the railpass discount. This is the 1930 from Vienna arr. Pris Est at 1094. Out of interest on the https://www.nightjet.com/ site there are no trains showing apart from Mondays and Saturdays, generally. Or so it seems to me. Any help in knowing if the train exists and how to book it would be welcome. Thanks
Hi we are travelling in July (mobile passes). Trying to book seat reservations on the train from Budapest to Bled. There’s a few changeovers and it goes through the night which is why we wanted to reserve for peace of mind. On the interrail’s reservation site it is showing one of the trains (maribor to ljubljana) as unable to book reservations for. I looked on the OBB website and it also won’t allow me to book ‘seat only’ reservations for this train (says ‘not available’). But on the interrail site it shows all our connections for this journey as ‘reservation not necessary’ ie we can just get on the train with our interrail passes. So should we just turn up and do you think we will get on the train without seat reservations? Or does ‘not available’ mean the train is already fully booked and we will not be allowed on? I’ve heard that especially in places like Slovenia seat reservations are really not necessary, is this true? Grateful for any advice thanks :)
Hello, I'm looking to travel from Milan to Zurich via st moritz in mid August.I can find the journey for today (may) but not August. Does anyone know why this might be? Thanks Emma
I’m getting this train in a couple of days and it says there’s no reservation needed. Is this correct or do I need a reservation. I don’t mind being on a longer train journey with more stops so am happy to not pay the extra fees.
we purchased 2 global pass first class tonight and then tried to book London St Pancras to Paris for May 31 .. none available May 30, 31 or June 1 .. this was the most expensive train on our trip and the pass doesn’t make sense if we cant get a seat. do we lose 15% to cancel same day as purchase? Am I doing something wrong with the reservation or is this something that happens a lot? This is the message I get iwhen trying to make the reservation ,,, Prices unavailableNo price results were found for this connection. It is possible that all pass holder seats are sold out. Please try searching for another connection or check 'More information' and try other ways to book this seat reservation. If no pass holder seats are available anymore you need to buy a separate full fare ticket to board.
So I’m looking to plan for a train from Palermo to Naples and it lists all these stations. How do I know which to pick? I’m not really picky. Is there a setting where it can list ANY in the city?
I want to reserve a window seat of Eurostar. But the SNCB reservation or Rail Planner app disabled to choose seat preference.I can choose window or aisle if Thallys is choosen. So it seems not possible to choose seat of Eurostar. So I am wondering to try reserve first without selecting seats. After e-ticket comes, can I change it to window seat? And how can be change?
It is my first time traveling with Eurail. I want to make sure that I will be able to get a train into popular cities at the most ideal times, but I cannot figure out how to reserve seats when they don’t require you to. I would prefer to have a seat reserved on every train I’m taking so that I don’t have to worry about not being able to take a train, is this possible?thank you!
Hi I bought my groups passes a while ago and have since exchanged them. Are the reservations that I made through interrail site still valid with the new passes. Can't get any reply from customer services Tia Martin
Hi, we’re planning our first trip to Europe and I’m finally figuring out the train routes. We’re switching train stations in Milan for a Paris to Rome route. I read online that you need about an hour to move from one station to another and that it’s only a 25-minute walk or quick bus ride. But I had no idea how much time it takes to get off the train and back on another. Our first train gets into one station at 13:49 (1:49) and leaves from the other station at 15:15 (3:15). Will this be enough time? Thanks for any help.
I'm trying to plan my holiday to Portugal. But I can't seem to find any trains between Madrid and Lisbon. Where can i buy tickets and make reservations for this trajectory?
Hi, I will travel from Perpignan to Valencia (via Port Bou). with a stopover in Barcelona Sants (25 minutes), a reservation is needed for Barcelona to Valencia.Question: is it possible to make a reservation for the Spanish trip in France (Perpignan)? If not: I see I can make a pre-reservation by phone, but I have only 25 minutes to arrange the reservation in Barcelona, I think that is not enough time. How can I do this? thank you
Hi, I’m trying to book a seat for my trip from Rome to Munich, but the Eurail booking system doesn’t work. I put all the necessary information, but don’t get any answer...
The planner in the App doesn’t seem to show stations in Sarajevo. Riga and other Eastern European cities. Does anyone know why this is ? I have a continuous global pass. Cheers
How can I book my reservation in the Train [NT300 from Hamburg to Stockholm on 17.07.2022]? I have two digital Global Passes and connected them to the journey. The booking System says “ Prices temporarily unavailable “ and i should try it in some hours. The reservation for the German [EC6] from Osnabrück to Hamburg is available.
