Train connections & reservations

I’m hoping to travel from Faro to Lisbon, and the eurail app says a reservation is required, but I have to make that reservation in person at the train station. To me, this seems risky, because what if the train is full by the time I get to the station? This is the only train I can take, so I can’t risk it being full.Has anyone ever had issues with a train they were hoping to reserve being full by the time they got to the station? Is there any way to avoid this risk? I have a mobile pass, by the way, if that changes anything. 

I am trying to reserve our seats between Berlin and Krakow, when I am not logged in, I can see the price for the reservation, but when I log in, I get the message “Prices unavailableNo price results were found for this connection. It is possible that all pass holder seats are sold out. Please try searching for another connection or check 'More information' and try other ways to book this seat reservation. If no pass holder seats are available anymore you need to buy a separate full fare ticket to board.”Am I missing something?

Hello. For my first day of the trip I have paid for a seat reservation on the route Prague- Warszawa, euronight EN443 Prague 22:05 Warszawa Gdańska 08:52. When I want to enter this connection in the route planner, it is not offered in the Interrail app. So I don't know how to proceed to make everything work properly. Thanks for the reply. Karel Patak

Hello. This year my friends and I purchased the interrail global pass. We are trying to get to Budapest from Athens, but because the railways modernization of Serbia and problems with the scheduel in Bucarest, we are trying to find a route that avoids those places. Is there any way this is possible? Thank you so much :)

I’m leaving to go travelling in just over two weeks and the Interrail website keeps malfunctioning when I try booking seat reservations! It won’t let me press the ‘review my order’ button, there is either an error warning sign that pops up or the webpage just stays stuck. I’ve tried booking on three different devices and none of them will work. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else, if you have any advice or maybe the contact details for Interrail, because none of the numbers I’ve found online seem to work? 

@hhilppaa  to keep the “How to get reservations” post clean i will answer here.For which date are you looking?Did you follow the Nighttrain reservation manual?I just tried a booking for Friday the 15th July and iam able to reserve with the Interrail/Eurail discount how ever just one berth in a tripple sleeper compartment is left (the train is very popular especially during the Holidays in Slovakia& Austria)

I’m having issues pressing the “proceed to payment” button when booking my reservations. It seems greyed out, and unable to select. Can anyone help?

Hey everyone. I’m looking to make connections between Istanbul - Sofia/Plovdiv - Thessaloniki - Skopje - Belgrade. As showed in the picture, it should be possible to do so but when I look for trains in the Rail Planner, I can’t find any of thoses trains. I am looking for August, am I too early ? Or the trains connections have changed ? 

I am looking to book a National Express coach from London Victoria coach station after departing from the eurostar. There is guidance about how long to arrive before the journey but nothing about how long to allow  to get off the eurostar to st pancras! How long would you say would be safe enough? 

Hello guys, I bought a 2 month global pass and I was wondering if to get on the trains that do Montreux-Interlaken, so trains from the goldenpass you had to book a reservation, because interail's wesbsite says that it's not but it's "recommended". Why is it recommended?

Hi All, is anyone can help me. How to find a train from Portbou to Barcelona? Since I can’t see the train route in any website. I thought it’s the cheapest way to get Barcelona from france area. Is anyone have any experience with this route? how much is the ticket price from Portbou to Barcelona?

Hello! My parents and I are taking a trip to Europe next week. We purchased a 1st class EURail pass and have been booking the train rides that require reservations. Toward the end of our trip, we are taking night trains. I saw there are multiple sleeping arrangements available for purchase on the night trains. Could someone explain the difference between the 1st class 3 person sleeper and the 2nd class 3 person sleeper? For another one of our train rides, there is not a 3 person sleeper available and there is only a 4-person berth available for the night train. If we purchase the 4-person berth, will they fill the 4th spot or is there a way we could get the 4 person berth for only three of us? Also, will my dad be separated from my mom and I on gender-specific berths? Thanks so much!

  Hello, I’ve been looking for train tickets from Nice to Monaco. The ‘’Book a reservation’’ section says that I’m ready to board. Does this mean when I have interrail pass I can just hop in the train? And if it does, how do I know if there is any space in the train to get in? 

Hello,I have created a trip on the mobile phone app. I have now gone to reserve seat but it seems that the times of trains are different to the times on my trip. Then one journey just doesn’t exist on the reservation website. What am I supposed to do?For example- On my trip in the mobile app- July 31st- Torino Porte Susa to via Bologne to Arezzo- 8.10am arriving 13.09.When reserving the seats on the website the train is Torino Porta Susa via Firenze to Arezzo- 8.50am arriving 13.09 Different reservation price, long journey to connect in Firenze- not what we want to do. But the first train just does not exist on the reservation site. Really frustrating. Has anyone had any of these issues? Many thanks for any advice.Chris.

My partner booked a TGV train from Paris to Barcelona using an interrail pass. He could not at the time book a reservation . Is there a way to book one now? the Train is for 17th May Thursday. Thank You

As part of the trip my husband and I are planning, we want to take the train from Vienna to Istanbul (and back).I’ve done a lot of searching for the routes, and while I’m not yet sure of what our stopovers on this pair of long train trips will be, I do know that the trip is likely to involve trains between Vienna and Budapest that require reservations as well as trains between Budapest and Craiova and/or a train from Craiova to Vienna that also require reservations.The Eurail.com site indicates reservations will be mailed to my US address by registered mail.  How long roughly does this take?  2 weeks? or 2 months?  I ask because we will be flying to Europe on June 20, and I’d hate to buy reservations only to have them not get delivered in time.As a second question, I also have noticed that the information about international train between Sofia, Bulgaria and Istanbul, Turkey don’t seem to be available from Eurail.com and the “more information” seems to indicate that you need to buy the

I am unable to book a Eurostar train from London to Paris through the Eurail booking platform. The Eurail booking platform seems to be broken - I get an error message every time I try. I tried booking the same train reservation through b-europe.com, but I need a pass cover number to be able to complete the booking. My mobile pass did not come with a pass cover number, so I contacted Eurail customer support to request it. No response after 2 days.Does anyone know when the Eurail.com booking platform will be functional? Does anyone know how long I should expect to wait from Eurail customer support to get my pass cover number? 

Hi Community,I have booked reservation on eurostar from london to paris on 21st May. I want to change that to other date, Eurostart app allows me to do that, Can I go ahead and change the date? What will happen to reservation booked via interrail? Will it still show on interrail account? if the interrail account did not get updated, will my interrail pass get activated on 21st May? Thank you for help.Thanks, 

What is the difference between the three reservation options? 

 When checking trains, some are “included” and some have a cost for reservation. However, also in the ones that are “included”, it says “seat reservations required”. I am confused. Do I need a reservation for an “included” connection. I have a first class global pass. 

Hello! We have purchased the EuroRail German passes. Our last destination is going from Munich to Prague. We read that we can use this pass on the ALX 357 train but we can’t seem to book it through the EuroRail website. Can we use our German Rail Pass to travel to Prague? 

Hello!I'm traveling with a global pass (2month - 15 travel day), I have the mobile pass. I'm a French traveler. I've starting my trip and I'm currently in brussel. I need to be in London next week. However, when I want to book a train on the app, it is counted as an outbound ticket, because my train is passing through my country of residence. Is it normal? Thanks you in advance 

Hi, i will traveling in September from Austria to England. About the reservation in the train in England, is there duty or is all trains in England in the Interrail Global Pass inkluded?  Thank you! 

 I am trying to book a train from Paris to Nancy at 25/05 but at the app and website it shows it is available but when I click it is not, as a matter of fact I can't book any trains at this date and at this destination, and no one from support answers me. Anyone with the same problem or that could help me?
