Train connections & reservations

Hi I'm trying to look at a booking reservation for prague to krakow in july and it is coming up with prices unavailable. I have looked on the CD website and it also says there are no reservations available even though it is 61 days until the date of departure and before this is i could see the train information. I am trying to book a night train so i do need to have a reservation but am wondering if it is sold out and how it could possibly be as it isn’t even less than 60 days prior to the train departure date. Please help me !!

Hello, We are hoping to visit Cinque Terre in June. But do the trains between the 5 towns included in the Interrail card? We have 2week passes, for all day travel frist class. So we can travel every day of the 2 weeks we are gone. Do we need to purchase seperate Cinque terra cards? For 3 days its 47 euros pp. So I dont want to spend it if we dont have to. And I cany find it, and they dont show up in the app. Happy if anyone can help. Thank you. 

I am trying to book EuroCity 311 on 6th July from Arth Goldau → Venice and I’m surprised to see such a huge price difference for the exactly same train between bahn and OBB (see screenshots in comments)The price difference is EUR 55 on bahn vs EUR 109 on OBB. Why is there such a huge price difference for the same ticket? Am I missing something here?

Hi, me and my 2 friends (3 of us in total) bought our tickets separately. However, we’ve added our seats together for our trip. When I try and make seat reservations it charges me for 3 people. Do the seat reservations automatically upload to their own phone or to mine? Thanks 

Hi, I’m planning a travel in august this year. We are 3 family with children (16 person in total).I would like to group the reservation to ensure we can be together in the train.I saw that there was a limitation of 5 travellers when I want to do reservation via the website.Do you know if there is a solution to ensure we are all together in the train and the same train car (wagon)?Kind regards,Grégory.

i am very confused while trying to plan a trip to Europe beginning in Paris.  Here is our itinerary:9/11/22 Fly to Paris9/15/22 take train to Venice9/18/22 take train to Rome10/5/22 take train to Florence10/8/22 take train to ParisFly home from ParisI’ve tried the planner but still not sure which international pass to get or if these cities are on the pass.  Not sure where I would need reservations, confused about which train line to take.This is our first visit to France and Italy. Hi, I have a mobile pass for the upcoming summer. In the mobile app under My Pass I think I have been able to secure two trips so far. One Paris to Marseille and one Genoa to Zurich. Both required seat reservation fee of EUR 10. I have however not paid for this yet. How do I pay for seat reservation and confirm my spot on the train?

Hi guysMy boyfriend an I want to go from Thessaloniki to Sofia but we can't manage to find a way to do it. It seems that there is no train between these 2 cities ? Does this mean that we have to pay for a bus ? Or is there a way to go by train through Macedonia and/or Serbia that we don't mind visiting ?Thank you in advance for your help 🙏

I have the interrail pass and I’m trying to book and pay for my necessary reservations. It asks for my country of birth but it’s not in the drop down list menu. I am a British citizen and have a British passport but I was born in Ghana. Other people on here have had this issue as well. It would be helpful if we could type in our countries of birth like we can with the city. I leave in one month.  

Hi,I intend to buy the night train from Bratislava Hlavna Stanica to Prague Hlavni Nadrazi on EN476 train on 16/06 at 10:06 pm. On the app it appears as direct train and I need to book a seat. As you can see in my screenshots, the price for the reservation seat is from 3€ but on the interrail website the first option costs 40€. Taking this into account I went directly to the cd.cz site and realized that there was no possibility to buy a seat 6 bed compartment or only the seat without a bed. This happens not only in this day but all the trips I have searched. I tried to book a seat from Bratislava to Breclav and from Breclav to Prague, this way it is possible to book only one seat for less than 5€. - Can I buy these 2 tickets and travel continuously?- Does this route count as 1 day of travel or 2? Since the train is the same that starts at 22h06 and I never have to switch trains...- Is there a reason for such a long stop in Breclav, 2h30?- How do they track the number of days consumed o

I was tempted by the marketing and totally failed to understand own country travel.The objective was to take a 2 month global card and leave my French home to visit Switzerland, Italy, Spain and stop in at home, France,  for northern clothes to travel to the UK.  I now believe that I can only do 2 days out of 60 in France and almost half of my preferred routes use France.  Logically because France is right in the centre of all the countries.Am I correct in the residence travel rules?  They seem ridiculous.Has anyone got a good plan for such a trip?Thanks

Trying to book tickets for a train from Edinburgh to York on my mobile app. Trains leave like every half hour. Most require seat reservations, but several don’t. Reservations are only a few dollars so I’m thinking I’d like to get one just to feel like my seat is secure. I can’t figure out how to purchase it on app though. It says I need to do it in person. So confused.

Hey guys, I´ve got a big problem while I want to make the reservations which are necessary for my summer tour through europe. I want to take a train from London to Edinburgh on the 31th augsut and  back the other way late the next day but both trains can´t be reserved saying it cant be done by eurail. So i tried the other websites which should let me get my reservations like APC Rail and LNER but there it also isnt possible to get a reservation for both trains and now i don´t now what to do. Would love to get some help from you Thanks, Luca

Hi,part of my trip from Avignon to Rome (i.e. Lyon - Milan) is not in the Pass network as the planner suggests. Does this mean I have to buy a separate ticket (with Trenitalia) for this part of my trip? 

Hello,I’m sorry to ask if that was obvious, but for a reservation in a night train I didn’t get the difference between “berth” and “sleeper”. Do both have beds ? It’s the euro night reservation. Thank’s a lot ! 

What are the official websites/apps where I can compare train times to the interrail app for the following stations: Brussels Central  Paris Nord  Zurich Main station  Vienna Central Ljubljana   Venice Mestre Rome Termini eg. For Berlin it would be DB website or Navigator app.

My question is the following, once I buy the 4 days in 1 month pass, should I buy the tickets for the trip to Edinburgh or do I just get on the trains?If I have to reserve the seat, do I have to pay extra? Thank you!

I have been working for two solid days to secure a mandatory seat reservation on a train from Vienna to Utrecht that is a critical leg of my planned trip.Most of the time when I try to search for trains the search times out before I get a list of possible trips, and this is true regardless of what I enter for the origin and destination of the trip.  I just get a spinning wheel that eventually times out before any train connections are shown.On the rare occasions that the system shows me some options for the desired train trip, if I try to select the mandatory reservations and add them to my cart, the cart usually shows them as added.  But when i then try to purchase the seat reservations, I either get back to a spinning wheel OR the site logs me out automatically OR I get told that the reservations I selected are no longer possible.  When the last happens, I am not given an option to go back to the previous search and select either a different level of seat reservations or a different

I need a how-to.If I want to buy a mandatory seat reservation to use with my already purchased Eurail pass on a train that can be booked at https://www.oebb.at/en/ is there any way that I can buy just a Eurail seat reservation instead of a full price ticket?More generally, is there any way to purchase mandatory seat reservations to use with a Eurail pass from a national rail line’s own web site?

Hello,is it possible to reserve a sleeping compartment with an interrail pass 1. class? I have one, bute I can only reserve sit or couchette 2. class. At sj.se I only can reserve sit or couchette, for sleeping compartment I have to pay the full price.Can someone help me? I only bought the interrail 1. class because of using sleeping compartments. If this wouldt be possible, this pass has no sense for me. Thank you for your help!

Hello everyone!We need to travel from Lausanne to Venice in one day, preferably arriving in Venice  mid afternoon latest. When I try to book reservations on trains on the Eurail website, it keeps saying there is nothing available for this journey! It brings up the same message for every route into anywhere in Italy on that day! Help! It seems we are stuck in Lausanne! Can we board trains from Lausanne to Milan and on to Venice without making a reservation? I need to be sure we can do this so that I can book accommodation in Venice. We are travelling in June.Thank you in advance
