Train connections & reservations

Hello everyone, I would really appreciate any insight or recommendation on what to do about this error. I’ve narrowed to when I try to reserve a seat for 1 of my family members, everyone else work perfectly, but every time I try to book for him, the error shows up. Thank you in advance!!  

Hi!Me and my girlfriend are planning to go on a trip with the Interrail global pass between July 4-10. We have looked up some routes, though on some days we have to change trains to reach our next destination. Our concern is that we may not we able to catch the next train if the first train arrives late due to the transfer time being 15 minutes. I have two questions about this:1:If we miss our transfer because the first train was late can we get a refound or some compensation on the seat-reservations?2: On the pictures below you can see the routes and the trains we would like to take. Do you think we can transfer from one train to another without any problems? Are delays greater than 10 minutes common on these lines?Thank you for your answers. 

I am travelling from Lecco to Ventimiglia in early September 2025.  The schedule in July has a direct train from Milan to Ventimiglia but the trains in September require changing 2-3 times.  Are the schedules that are there now what they will be for September or will they get updated again? Would prefer to have a direct train from Milan.

Hi, I’m trying to reserve a seat (have a global pass) from Milan to Nice on 21st August. I understand that reservations should be bookable now being less than 4 months away. The maninseat61 site says to go via Ventimiglia but no results come up. When I try to search for Milan>Ventimiglia in case the French trains aren’t reservable, it says I have to change to Torino but I thought it should be direct?Is there something else I need to try?

Hi everyone,I am planning for our first trip to Europe, and I have a few questions around seat reservations that I haven’t been able to find the answers for so far. I hope someone can assist me on this.1.    Apart from Eurostar, what other trains have limited seats available for pass holder? I will be travelling on the following trains:IC ICE EC RJX2.    When I book my seat reservations directly with the rail companies (e.g. OBB, DB, CD etc), do I have to explicitly specify that I will be using a Eurail pass? For DB and CD (Czech), I don’t see where I can select Eurail pass during the seat reservation process. As for OBB, I can only see I can add “Interrail/Eurail – Globalpass” as a “discount” during the process but I don’t know whether that is necessary/relevant. I am trying avoid surprises as much as possible, thanks for any assistance in advance. 😀ThanksJackson

For some reason, the website doesn’t let me delete a trip from my cart (a seat reservation I haven’t checked out). Because of that, it assumes I have used the two credits I have left, so I can’t book any other trips. 

I am trying to book a seat on my first leg from Leeds to London Kings Cross which is an LNER train. The Interrail planner says“Not available from Interrail.euThis seat reservation can’t be booked on our website. Check 'More information' for other ways to book.”Firstly, does this mean that I can’t travel by this train at all?I tried to book a seat with LNER who is the carrier on this train. There doesn’t seem to be a way to book a seat without having a ticket.Can someone tell me how I book a seat in this case?

I have manage to make a reservation for this section of the Bernina express. But since you are not able to add this section to your planner using the app, how do I proofe to the busdriver that I do have a ticket?

Hi, I am planning my summer vacation, but unfortunately it is constantly showing me:“You must split your journey. No connection” and so on. I checked the Finisch railway homepage and there are several connections there. Why cannot I plan it with Interrail Ticket? I am considering now not booking Interrail, but buying separately tickets. What do I do wrong? Thanks a lot in advance for your attention and answers!

I will travel with a friend in Portugal in June and we want to book trains. We know that seats reservations must be reserved in Portugal but can we book just tickets for the train without seats before, in a french train station ?Thank you

Myself and my friend booked a train reservation from split to slovenia andit had to be a paper reservation. The estimated delivery date is after we leave for our trip though. What can we do? Can we get a digital copy? We leave in 6 days so need to solve this soon. The reservation will arrive 2 days after we leave.

Hi all. My friend and I are traveling from Lisbon to Madrid on the 11th of July. I see there are no train times available yet (probably because it is far in advance) but can we expect there to be a train (+-9 hours) on that day? Or is it a more viable option to find alternative transport. 

I am booking a trip from Innsbruck- Ljubljana- Budapest-Vienna-Prague-Krakow-Zakopane-Warsaw. I want to book an overnight train from Prague to Krakow for sure, and potentially an overnight train from Zakopane to Warsaw. Initially when I booked my Eurail I wasn’t planning to go to Poland, so I booked a 5 day in 1 month pass (2nd class). For this new itinerary I will need 7 days in 1 month. Am I able to modify my pass and get 2 days added for an extra charge, or am I better off booking the other trains on their own?For the overnight train to Krakow from Prague it seems like the Chopin is the best choice since I would like a sleeper car and the Regiojet only has seats available. Am I able to book a sleeper car through a reservation for the overnight train to Krakow on Eurail, or is this not possible? What about for the train from Zakopane to Warsaw? Am I able to do this with a 2nd class pass? What would be the additional cost? Thank you for any information you can provide!

Good day, We are 2 travelers. Both passes are on my phone, and wevare travelling for more than a week without problems. However, now I need to book a reservation on a train, and when I want to add the second traveler, it says the surname and pass number do not match - while I copy them exactly from the app. Can anyone explain this, and please help?Thanks!

I live in the UK. What if I buy an interrail pass but then can’t get a reservation on the limited seats in the Eurostar? Is it maybe better to buy the Eurostar separately and then start the interrail pass on the continent?

Hi. I searched in Rail Planner found a trip detail as below:Venice S.Lucia (dep) > Rome Termini (arr)Time: 16.26 ~ 20.25The seat can not be reserve and trip is different from what I searched from Rail Europe web. In Rail Europe most of the trip shown "Rail pass doesn't apply for this trip".

Next July i'm going to do an Interrail trip in Germany with my friends, everyone bought their own individual pass but when we book reservation for a train at same time the system that assigns seats far from each other.Is there a way to have near seats?I also view that in the home page of my presonal interrail account there is the option to add people at interrail journey, but what exactly is this function for? does it allow me to book seats close together?I hope someone can answer me, if so thank you very much  

Hello Community, so I have a question. I will travel to paris on the 20th May. If I look for a seat reservation for the train from munich at 5:50am in morning. When I want to book it direct from munich → paris  i can not book it. When I book from Munich → Karlsruhe  I can book a seat (even if i dont have to) When I book the same train from Karlsruhe → Paris , i can also book Same for raileurope etc. When I go to Bahn.de it says that this train is not going from munich at all. There it says this train starts in Karlsruhe.  Does anybody know if this train will drive from munich to karlsruhe and then to paris? 😅Thanks you :)  

Hello  This Summer i’m traveling from Kemi to Helsinki. I know reservation are Not required and can only made by calling VR and costs 25% of a Ticket. My Question is, if I wanna reserve a Single Seat in the new Ekstra Relaxed Class, is the reservation cheaper, if I have a Interrail 1. Class Pass or the Same price with a 2. Class Pass?For Example:I checked the Price of a normal Ticket on the VR WebsiteFor Eko Class is 45€, with the Upgrade to Ekstra Relaxed Single Seat is 58€I think with a 2. Class Pass I have to Play 25% of the 58€ and with a 1. Class Pass? Also 25% of the 58€ or only 25% of the 13€, the Upgrade Price? GreetingsStefanix19 

I recently purchased an Interrail pass for Italy as a French resident. I am trying to book a direct train ticket from Paris to Milan for August 18th, departing at 9:46 AM, using this pass. However, I am encountering an error message in French that states: "Un ou plusieurs Pass ne couvrent pas ce trajet. Sélectionnez les voyageurs qui disposent d’un Pass valable sur ce trajet pour pouvoir réserver."Could you please help me understand why my Interrail pass is not being accepted for this route and how I can resolve this issue?Thank you for your assistance.

Hey, i’m trying to book my trip from Biarritz to Vigo. Every train however requires a reservation that i cannot book, it just says “No price results were found. Pass holder reservations may be sold out for this connection, but there are other ways to check for available seats—more info below our timetable.”I was able to book a reservation for every other trip, but i can’t book a single one for this one. Am i too late? Is there a different way I can book reservations? Hi, I'm travelling with my partner and we want to go from Bari to Milano on the evening of 1st of May. There are two lines with direct night trains leaving at around 21.00 from Bari which is perfect. However I can't seem to be able to reserve the 2p sleeper, only spaces in 4p couchette, which is not preferable for us. I have tried through app.italiarail.com but can't get it to work. Booking without Interrail ticket seems to work though, so I believe there are still beds available.  Would really appreciate some help or advice!  

I am looking for routes in Spain from Zaragoza to Vigo. (July)I can find the routes using other travel sites - even with Renfe trains but not through the Eurail site.  I have tried breaking the trip into segments and still no luck.Any tips or tricks?

HelloI booked a reservation a few months back via DB for the EC56 from Krakow Gl to  Berlin HBF. But now when I check the Eurail app/ site, that train isn’t listed. I have the Eurail 1st class global pass.How can I check that my pass is valid on that direct train?CheersJon
