Train connections & reservations

Hi ! I just ran into this problem. I really wanted to take the nightjet from Munchen to Florence. But around that time there is construction work….Does anyone knows other routes that wil get me to Florence? Daytime trains are also fine..?  If i look on the planner app it says that there is a train from Munchen to Travisio and then Travisio to Florence. But the traincode also says NJ which stands for NightJet so that got me quite confused.. Can some one help me? Thanks! 

Hello, we just bought interrail passes for France and wanted to make a reservation through the Interrail reservation system for a night train to Toulouse. On the SNCF Connect website, there was the possibility to choose having a private compartment for an extra 45€, which is not available on the Interrail reservation site. So is it impossible to book a private compartment as an upgrade with an interrail pass?

hello there,we’re travelling through Croatia and Slovenia, two countries that only work with paper tickets for seat reservation. We’ll need 3 reservations. Can we avoid the shipping cost of 9 euro by combining all the reservations?Thank you for your answer,Fien

I am really concerned because I bought an eurail one country ticket for Spain and I don't know how to make reservations with Renfe from Costa Rica because I want to book all trains before I arrived to Spain. Please can anyone help me? I don't know if this is only possible being in Spain. If that is in that way this pass is not worth it for my trip

Yeah, what I said in the title really…These are among the most popular night train routes on the continent, and not only is July peak season on a normal year, but 2022 will also be the first proper chance many people have had to travel abroad since the pandemic began. Accordingly there will be a lot of travellers planning to use these trains in July, and this track work couldn’t really have come at a worse time. :-(I’m aware that quite a few of the more expert users of this forum will already have known about this, but hopefully anyone who didn’t - and was counting on these trains for their itinerary - will see this reminder and adjust their plans accordingly.One possible alternative option for those who had been planning to come from Munich is the Trenitalia sleeper from Bozen, but this is on weekends only and only works for those travelling to Rome.

I need to book a reservation via b-europe but have a digital pass - is it possible to get a pass cover issued? Worried the seats will fill up soon and I won’t be able to travel so as soon as possible would be great! Thanks in advance x

Hi there!I've got a question about the train connection between Athens and Patras. Me and my boyfriend would like to travel around greece with interrail. We would like to take the train from Athens to Patras, and then take the boat from Patras to Italy. I think the Interrail site is a bit unclear about this. Is there a good connection from Athens to Patras by train or do we have to figure it out another way?

I am traveling in July 2022 from Prague (Czech Republic) to Regensburg (Germany) and then from Regensburg to Strasbourg (France).While I am able to find trains for these trips (EC356 for the first trip and ICE228 / IC2068 / TGV9580 for the second one), Regensburg is NOT a “valid” option in the “PLAN YOUR TRIP” web page.I just wanted to know that the two train trips above are eligible if I purchase a Eurail Pass.

Can I change seat reservations for Italian and French use of Global Pass ?

I am trying to book 4 seats in the TGV starting at 06:52 AM on May 29 from Nice Ville to Aix En Provence TGV, and I can find that I need to book seats because there is a sign of "R" in yellow circle but I can't get any response although I click "1st class deat EUR 10."  Dest it mean that seats in the train have been fully booked?

I've tried booking reservations from Venice to Milan on June 15th. The only time thar comes up is an overnight train that takes almost 20 hours. I can find plenty of trains available on the rail planner app but when I try to reserve them on eurails site only one night train comes uk

I have purchased global rail passes for myself and my family for a Europe trip In July/august. I have run into a question about reservations. There are several nights that we would like to use the sleeper trains. I can see that we can reserve these through yours website service. I also know from making my other reservation that seats will be selected for me, but Is there anyway to ensure that we are booked in a sleeper car on these overnight trains, and not just in regular seats. It appears that both seating types are available on this train.

Hey guys!I have to take the train from Madrid to Leon and then from Leon to Vigo on Sunday (27/03). Both connections require a reservation. The app says I can only book the tickets on the spot at a counter. Does anyone have experience with this? Does it work well? Or is there any option to buy the tickets online after all? Thank you!!

I have bought a German Rail Pass for me and my boyfriend, because I found it is also valid for ICE-trains between Brussels and Köln (source: it says in the conditions “"The German Rail Pass is valid on the following direct routes: Cologne (Köln Hbf) - Brussels (Bruxelles-Midi) Cologne (Köln Hbf) - Liège (Liège-Guillemins)" and I found also confirmation here  German Interrail pass : Liège (Belgium) to Cologne (Köln, Germany) | Community (eurail.com) ).But now I tried to reserve us seats for this train, and it says “Your Pass or the Pass of a travel companion is not valid for this connection.”How can this be solved? Thank you!

Dear community, I have another question regarding my Interrail tour. I am travelling from Barcelona to Madrid with a train at 8 p.m. I was able to make a seat reservation for this train via Deutsche Bahn. However, when I tried to find this train connection in the Interrail app, it didn’t show up. What could be the reason for this? And will I have any problems if I travel with this train without that it’s listed in my app? (I have the seat reservation as a printed ticket though). Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi everyone!  New Eurail couple here and we are super confused about the seat “Reservation” required on most of our selected trains in our trip for MAY 2022….either the Eurail app says to do it “at station” and on countries’ train website it says “reservation impossible”also, the Eurail and countries train websites times, are often different …..Am I reading too much into this or is this difficult to get in sync?Are long night-train cabins worth it and how long before a trip can those be reserved?    

Hoe kan het dat het reserveren van een nachttrein niet lukt?Overal krijg ik een rood signaal, terwijl ik via bv de SJ wel kan boeken, maar dan is de nachttrein 4x zo prijzig, ik heb niet voor niets een 1ste klas inter/eurorail globall pass genomen.

I'm traveling with a group of 12 people this July.  Bought a 3 day France pass.  Tried To buy seat reservations, got an error message, discovered it's too early to reserve seats.  My credit card was charged for the full cost of the seat reservations though.  Not just a credit card hold, but a charge. My question is, do I now have some sort of credit to my account, so when I book these seats later, it'll show that I've already paid?  Or will the app ask me to pay again, in which case I should be trying to get a refund now?

Pls advise:Is there any direct train from Milan to Zurich? How long it takes to reach there? Is there any direct train from Zurich to Lyon? Hoe long it takes to reach there? Do we need to make reservations for this trips? Thanks  

Hello, I'd like to ask whether the European railway pass in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the cross-border trains in Montenegro, Kosovo, Serbia, northern Macedonia, Albania, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania can't be booked. I can't find it on the app. Then I see that the European railway pass has four free rides on the Greek islands and two Italian round trips to Greece, but there is no one when I click the preferential option for four domestic round trips, However, there are round-trip tickets in Italy, as well as European railway tickets. Many of them are operated by railway, but they will appear when scheduled/
