Train connections & reservations

I have my reservations but do I need a ticket too ?  Also nothing showing in my mobile app, I did all of this on my laptop.

We are trying to make reservation on the Eurail self-help page for a trip that is 4 ½ months in the future and keep getting the message “No price results found for this connection. Are we just trying to make the reservations too soon or is there another problem? 

Hi. Eurail pass is free for 4-11 years old children. Does it mean same is applicable during seat reservation? I mean can children under 12 years travel free in the countries where seat reservation is must?Thanks in advance

Hi there, I’ve been trying to work out how to ultimately get from Athens-Sarajevo! I’ve found buses from Thessaloniki -Skopje, Skopje-Belgrade and then Belgrade-Sarajevo.To do this I was hoping to get a train from Athens to Thessaloniki before 9:00 and arriving at or before 15:00 to be on time for a Thessaloniki-Skopje bus the same day. However, I think TrainOSE haven’t updated their website and therefore I’m unable to see a timetable or any trains from Athens to Thessaloniki on the 6th of July and so am unable to plan these connections. Does anyone know roughly how many trains go from Athens to Thessaloniki on a daily basis and if there are earlier trains (pre-09:00)? 

Hi guys,I’ve noticed on the TrainOSE website, that they do online booking:However in the ticket price there is no interrail option. On the rail planner app and interrail site it says in person bookings/reservations only, does that just mean the day of and would we be at risk of not getting seats if others can book online? Thank you all,Alexia

Traveling from CH to England next week and for the leg Strasbourg to Paris Est it says “reservation required” with the note “no results (Ergebnisse) found. Please try again or find an alternative booking method.” Does this mean there are no seats available?  (it’s the 8:52 to Pars).   On the subsequent Eurostar to St Pancras INTL it’s possible to reserve & book seats, as required.Grateful for any help.Thanks, Grizzly 

Hello! Some background context: I have never travelled in Europe and hence have never boarded any of these Eurail trains before. Also, my vaccination is not an EMA vaccination and hence is not recognised in all European cities. I thus make sure that my country I am setting off from and my destination country all accept my vaccination type.However, I am concerned about the issue of having to change trains during the journey, and would like to ask about the procedures that take place during changing of trains in a stopover country during the journey. Specifically, if I have to change trains in countries that don’t accept my vaccination type, will I be stopped from changing trains? Or is it that so long as I can board the train from my starting country, there will be no issue in changing trains in the stopover city i.e. vaccination status will not be in issue during the stopover?Thank you so much!

Now I have my pass is it possible to make reservations using British pounds? If not how does it work having a British bank account. Will I be charged extra? How does conversion work? 

 What train should I use if I am going from Berlin to Zurich? Do I have a night option?I will be buying a Globalpass.

Hello,I have an Interrail pass to travel in Portugal, with the intention of travelling in May. As I like to plan early, I was looking at potential train routes to travel around the country. I looked on the Rail Planner app to see how I’d book the routes I want, but it stated that a reservation was required. I then checked on the Interrail website and saw that for Portugal, reservations have to be booked locally at the train station. The questions I have are:Would I be charged extra for the reservation (it’s a first class pass so I hope not)? Is this definitely the only way of doing reservations (given that we’re still in Covid times, it’s odd that online reservations isn’t an immediate option)?Many thanks

Hi!I’m planning a trip for end of March and I want to buy a 7-day eurail pass. When I look for some trains (in this case Brussels-Paris) on the page “Book reservations” of the eruail website a lot of trains are indicated as “Some details unavailable” so I can’t book them and I can’t know the extra price for the booking of the seats. How can I be sure that I will be able to book these trains after having purchased the eurail pass?And second question, I will also use Fjord lines in Danemark. Do you know how I can have information about the potential extra cost of seat booking on these ferries? I cannot find a tool to simulate these purchases.Thank you in advance for your precious help!Manon

Do TER trains now require reservations?

I’m wanting to book night trains for my longer journeys but the rail planner app doesn’t offer any. I want to book them in the following places. Paris- Zurich Zagreb- Budapest Zurich- Bled Vienna- Krakow Krakow- Prague Does anyone know if there is another way to book night trains and if this is included in the interrail pass or not? 

I can’t find any connection to go from Prague to Athens, even if I try it with some stops in between. But looking at the map of all the stations interrail uses it seems you should be able to go from Prague to Athens. Can someone help me?

Hi I am planning on travelling from Lake Bled to Florence on the beggining of july but there is only one train available that takes 2 travelling days… In the app there are many more trains until june, is it because the schedule is not updated yet or because of covid or something? Also when I don’t know what it means when next to the seat reservation appears N/A, does this mean that there are no seats left/ the reservation is not needed?   Thanks!

I am trying to book some trains and noticed that many of them require paper tickets to be mailed which I won’t have access to while traveling of course, so I was planning on going into the train station to buy the tickets in person. So my question is, if I go to reserve my seats in person, will they charge me the price of a full ticket even though I have a Eurail global pass? Thanks:)

I notice that the train makes on stop for 3 minutes.  Is it difficult to change trains.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hey there,I’ve recently booked a reservation from Venezia S.L. to Klagenfurt Hbf via ÖBB and got a Mobile Pass. When I attempted to book the ticket on the Interrail Self-Service platform, there was no reservation available anymore. Because I needed to get that train, I tried to find another way to get that reservation via the ÖBB. I selected my age and in the discount tab “Interrail / Eurail - Globalpass” and booked the ticket there for 10€. When I recieved my reservation I’ve opened the .pdf and saw that there was no departure or arrival station listed. There was only this: “Tarvisioverkehr Pass1”. Did I book the right ticket?It’s the RJ132 on 04.03.2022.Thanks for your help :)

Hello, is there any app for interrial global pass where I can book tickets and see what places are available in train and in what dates?and from what dates the pass starts working? From the date I buy it or from the 1st of next month thanks in advance 

If I reserve the trip between Paris and Interlaken but my hotel is in Thun, can I get off the train in Thun or do I have to complete the ride all the way to Interlaken? 

I’ve tried planning my route using the rail planner app but can’t seem to find any night trains. Some of the train journeys I’ve chosen are quite long (7-8hrs) and no option for a night train is available. I don’t really want to be going on long journeys during the day so a night train is the best option, does anyone know how to find a night train if it doesn’t show on the app or anything that means I don’t have to travel long hours during the day. Thanks. 

I’m trying to book a seat reservation  in advance for June but I am having trouble doing so going from Edinburgh to London. I thought I could book in advance.

When i want to reserve a train from Milano central to Roma termini, there is only one possibility.But on the website’s Trenitalia there is many connection same day.How can i reserve with my pass please?
