Hi, As I try to reserve the seat from Milano to Chambery to go to Geneva/ Lucerne, I see that high price. Can someone guide me how to travel from Milan to Lyon or Geneva as I wish to travel to that side. Also, is it possible to get closer to Alps from Milan from a different route? Thanks
I’m thinking about using my pass to board the Vienna to Kiev sleeper, but I might prefer to do so from Budapest rather than Vienna.Of course Ukraine isn’t in the Interrail pass area, but you can use a pass to cover the section up to the border, which is really useful. This isn’t something I found out myself, it’s from this helpful blog: https://railguideeurope.com/nightjet-eurail/Anyway, to cut to the chase, the price from Vienna, for two passholders sharing a compartment, bought at oebb.at, is €114. However, this can only be bought from Vienna (not from any other station en-route) and the ticket can only be collected in person within Austria (so I would probably have to do the journey west-east, in order to have been to Austria first). To buy from or to Budapest, the only option is to go with an agency like Polrail, which doesn’t count any Interrail discount, and charges a whopping 1220zł (€270), plus whatever postage of the physical ticket costs to where you live (unless you collect i
My girlfriend and I bought an EURAIL pass and can't reserve a seat from London to Amsterdam. The EURAIL app will not let us boom a reservation for a train from London Pancreas to Amsterdam Centraal despite saying we need a reservation. To double check if the train was booked for pass holders, I checked both the farthest available dates with dates a few months ahead and before our trip and still can't make a reservation via the site. It appears the only way to have a reservation is to buy tickets which defeats the purpose of buying a EURAIL pass in the first place. How do we book tickets with the promised price of $34 per person? We even synced the pass to the trip which said it would be okay to reserve. The starting date is April 1 at 7:00 AM GMT.
Hola somos un grupo de 4 amigos, y queremos reservar para ir juntos en el tren. ¿se puede hacer?
Hi!I would like to book a seat for a particular train connection that I found in the Interail app. For booking I am always sent to the website, but there I cannot find my suitable connection... Can you tell me how else I can make a reservation for the connection ? Or can I theoretically go without a reservation? After all, I can already download the ticket for my connection, even without reservation. Thanks for your help!
Hello!i want to make a reservation for my first train which is Montpellier (France) to Valencia (Spain) with a change of train at Barcelone, but I don’t have the same informations on the website of Interrail and on the app : the cost on the app is 40€ and on the website it is 17€ for the same train. Also the website mentions I’ll receive a print ticket and the app does not.which one should I use ?
Hi, I am looking into the trainride from Hamburg (Germany) to Hirtshals (Denmark) and on the app it says that seat reservations are required, but when I have to pay it says it is optional? On the website it also says that it is not required.. Can I hop on the train without a reservation? Thanks in advance!
I am looking to travel round Europe for two months starting in late April. I want to reserve seats on certain high-speed trains but unsure how to do this without fully activating my pass. Is there a way I can reserve seats months in advance without activating my two months of travel?
I have a Global Pass and need to reserve a seat on Eurostar, but the timetables on the two sites don’t match! How can I be sure I’ll have a seat to start and end my journey? This question is too confusing for the chatbot to deal with!!
Dear community,I was planning a trip to Spain and Portugal in March with my Global pass. Now I checked some train connections on the Interrail app and saw that this seems highly expensive with obligatory reservations with fees around 40€ per train. Is anyone around or has any informations if there is any possibility to avoid these? Because like that I think I can’t afford this journey :/I’m looking forward to hear from youAll the best!anne

I mean from Venice to Paris with Trenitalia there Is no Seat available, on official website, according to my schedule. Does It mean i have to change my Plan?
Yeah reservations are sometimes a big moneykiller on your trips but if you use the Railplannerapp and click the avoid reservations option you will find often a cheap Route (mostly with longer traveltime and maybe one or two more changes. I will share some examples :)Amsterdam - Brussels Reservation free Intercity instead of expensive Thalysreservations. Time loss of 1 hour and arround 30€ saved.Brussels - Germany Take the Reservation free (4€ Reservation possible) ICE to Cologne/Frankfurt instead of Thalysreservation no big time loss but saved arround 30€Brussels/Ostende/Antwerp - Paris Take one of the few TGV´s or even more cheaper take a IC/TER to Lille and from Lille a TGV or IC to ParisParis - Germany Take a TGV to Strassbourg and then with a Regionaltrain to Offenburg/Karlsruhe and from here plenty of connectionsFrance - Switzerland Entry via BaselTake a TGV domestic till Strassbourg/Muhlhouse for (Basel/Zürich) and take there a Regionaltrain to Basel and from there any train to y

If I miss my connecting train, on which I need a reservation and have already paid for it, due to the delay of the previous train, can I simply take the next train without making a new reservation? Or do I have to make a seat reservation again for this train? And what if this next train doesn't go all the way to my destination (like the train I wanted to take), but has an intermediate stop and I have to change to a train where I also need a reservation? Thanks for your helpTeresa
I’m in Paris. I want to pick up someone from the airport CDG. I’m in Gare De Nord. Are there any trains that can get me there and back? I have the one month pass and she has the 10 day pass. Every time I try and book travel it says it’s not in the network. It has worked in every other country and city but not Paris? Can someone explain why.
It costs 68 euro pp extra to make this reservation. Is going to Italy required or obligated to make this reservation? We have an interrail pass
Is there a train from Seville, Spain to Faro, Portugal?

I find 2 totally opposite statements about reservations. Once Eurail says there aren't trains with mandatory reservation in Norway, but again Eurail says trains from Oslo to Bergen are. DB still says No and Vy says nothing - no sign R, no option only to reserve. I don't even see type of train.
Hi! We want to add trips to our already existing reservations but when we add them to the itinerary our previous reservations appear again. I just want to make sure we’re not charged twice for the previous reservations. Does anyone know how this works? Because i don’t want to remove them from the list, risking that they will be lost. Help with this would be most appreciated! Thanks! Happy traveling!
We are travelling from Holland to Vienna this summer to make a nice bicycle trip with our 2 daughters along the Danube to Budapest. It sounds great and easy to go with the eurrail pass. (Like the good old days) I’m just puzzled how and where I book our bicycles tickets in advance? We don’t want to spontaneously jump on a train and have to leave our bikes behind….Tips and advise most welcome! mirjam
We are looking for moving from Stockholm to Kiruna on train on July. I can see there are trains available the whole year but not on July. Anyone knows anything about it? Pretty strange
