Train connections & reservations

Hello! So I have a problem trying to book a train. On the Rail Planner app, it's saying that a reservation is required for the train from Copenhagen to Stockholm, but when I go to book it with the Rail Planner app,it doesn't show the reservation option as it used to do before when I needed to book trains... So maybe I don't have to make a reservation? figure widget

I need to reserve the seat for an high speed train in Italy, that I found on the official schedule of Trenitalia. However, this train doesn’t exist on the Eurail schedule, so it’s impossibile for me to reserve the seat (I could do it probably in a train station in italy, but I’m not in Italy at the moment). What should I do?The train is a Frecciabianca, from Milano Centrale to Ventimiglia, leaving at 15.10 on the 13/12

 According to Rail planner reservation for this train is required. According to DB it isn't. According to what I know reservations are not mandatory for any regional trains. So what is true and what is false?   

Hello,I’m going to taking 3 rail trips in Italy (Fiumicino-Naples, Naples-Florence, Florence-Fiumicino) between Dec. 9th and 19th and am trying to figure out if the rail pass makes sense. Since it’s already just a few days in advance the individual tickets are getting expensive (I need some flexibility for two of them) and I’m tempted to get the pass, but I don’t understand how the timing on reservations works. I read in one place that you’re required to reserve at least 3 hours in advance, another place 24h in advance, and another that you can just reserve right before you board. The timing of one of the trips I won’t be sure of till the last minute (arriving flight) so it would need to be right before boarding. (Seems like advance reservations start to defeat the purpose of having the pass, in terms of flexibility.) Can anyone please help to clear this up? I’m probably missing something obvious….Thanks!Darren

How much would the reservations cost if I went from brussels to Croatia, which is I think a sleeping train from München to Zagreb. 

Have a mobile pass but when i try to book a train in the planner None have a purchase button?   I'm going munich to rithenberg ob def Tauber  dec. 16  Wanted the 1147a, on the 18th to basel on the 1105, 20th to zurich on the 1211, 22nd to Strasbourg on the 137p, 25th back to zurich on the 120p.  Not one has purchase option. I went to rail europe website like i was going to buy them 1 by 1 and they all show up as available.  What am I doing wrong? 

Hello dear membersI am planning for europe trip with spouse and 3 children using global pass starting from Gothenburg Sweden and going all way to Rome.Guidance on following points is required. 1. Is it comfortable to travel on europass with children on such long journey.?2. Sleeping berths or comfortable seats for sleeping are included in europass or i need to pay extra for it?3. Do i need to download all apps for trains or from a single app i can reserve seats.4. By night trains what do we mean in terms of seats?Thanks in advance  

Hi! We had to make some changes to travel plans due to COVID and I’m trying to reserve the TGV from Paris to Strasbourg in December 21st but it is not allowing me to do so, it seems that they are all booked all the way to February. I have a reservation on the return trip Strasbourg to Paris a few days later. Does that make sense, or is it an error? Thanks, Raaj

Hello, I am trying to book seat reservations for TGV for a group of people, some on Interrail and some on Eurail passes.  The Eurail/Interrail website will not let me book reservations for my entire group.  There appears to be reservations available when I look on the b-Europe site.  What is the best way to book seat reservations for my group?  Do I need a pass cover number?  Thank you.

Hi everyone, I'm heading to Lisbon from Seville on the 10th December and I've noticed that all direct trains have been suspended.  The rail planner app does show several options with two or three changes (I presume these are local trains). Can the rail planner be trusted or are all rail services to portugal suspended? Also, I have an EU Digital covid vaccination certificate - I presume that should be enough (as with my travels in the rest of Europe) or does portugal have stricter requirements? I know that a covid test is required if you travel by air. Not sure if the same is required for train travel.   Thanks so much in advance for your advice... travel during the covid world is doable but things change every day!

Hello everyone!I’m a bit stuck with the reservations. I have my global mobile pass, and I’m supposed to get back to Hungary from Besancon, France on the 5th of December, but it seems that Interrail is out of seats for the trains that I’m trying to book. Are there any other ways that I could book reservations for my trains? I’m having a hard time reaching the English speaking operators of SNCF, and I’m afraid I’m running out of time. Can you help me please?

Hello everybody, For a week now, I try to pre-book some of my trips but after January 15th, I can’t find anything (no matter what I’m writing). I even have some trip that are not out after December 12th. How is it possible ? How do you do to plan ? Thank you 😊 

Hello everyone, everything good?I'm having trouble reserving my seats.I will arrive in Barcelona on December 21st of this year, I need to take a train to Madrid on the same day and back to Barcelona on the 24th of the same month. I cannot make reservations over the internet.The same is happening for my journey from Barcelona to Paris on December 30th. From what I understand, trains departing from Spain need to be booked at the station, my fear is to arrive there on December 21st and not have any more seats for the trip, I already have a hotel and Eurail Global Pass reserved.Can you help me? How should I proceed? Do you believe I will get seats for the trips I mentioned? Thank You! 

Hello, I’m trying to reserve seats on the Barcelona-Sants to Paris leg of my Madrid-Paris trip (I know for the first leg I have to reserve seats in person at a Spanish station). On the Eurail website I try to use the reservation service, but it says the departure date is too close for the paper reservation tickets to be delivered to me at my home. It also says it’s too close to departure for the tickets to be delivered to my hotel in Madrid.  Unfortunately, I am not yet in Madrid to reserve the tickets in person, nor will I arrive until the night before departure. What options are available other than testing my luck at 5pm at the Madrid train station before a 10am departure the next day? It makes me nervous since the website says TGV limits eurail pass holders per train. I want to make sure we’re able to get to our destination. Any advice?

Hi!I just reserved (80€ altogether) some seat from Stuttgart back to Paris (via Brussels) and Paris to Nantes (where I live) for tomorrow, now that I am trying to add the trips on the app it says you have used all your journeys. I have used all my journeys but this is my inbound trip. I thought any trip that involves a city from the country of residence would make that trip eligible for inbound journey.  I very much appreciate your help. The trip is tomorrow and I just paid a hefty amount and I’m in a state of panic 

Hi! We are travelling from Venice to Budapest tonight (parting on 21h and arriving tomorrow, with a escale) and we wanted to spend only one day with the rule of >19h. However, in the app on eurrail It counts tonight pass as a day-travel and I suppose that tomorrow as Another. Does somebody know how to do It to only count as one day? Thanks a million!

good afternoon!  We are having trouble reserving our seats on the 31/12/2021 09:10 barcelona sants - 15:46 Paris gare dy lyon train (tgv train 9708).  The eurail page system gives me an error and restarts the operation.  Is it possible to make reservations for our seats with you?  We live in Argentina and for this reason it is impossible for us to go through the station at the moment.

Hello,I am wanting to get in touch with customer service to answer a question. I have provided a screenshot of the information on your page when I try and book a reservation on a train from Breclav  to Krakow glowny of the 4th of January. It states that the reservations may be full for pass holders. I am a pass holder so how can I book a reservation? Thank you 

Hello all, On this page, it is said that the pass holders can travel by bus to Prague from Munich or Nuremberg (see the screenshot) : https://www.interrail.eu/en/plan-your-trip/trains-europe/trains-country/trains-germany But I can't find more information, it doesn't appear on the page "benefits". And when I plan a "Munich-Prague" trip with the timetable, there is no bus. How can I have more information and book a seat ?And is it only for the Germany pass holders, or also for the global pass holders ? Thank you !

Hi,I bought a double interrail Global Pass of 5 days in 1 month.We have been trying to book the seats of the trains that require reservation from the Rail Planner app but when we try to log in our account to make the reservation it does not work. How can we make the seat reservation, is there an other option?

I have booked reservations for all my trains except 2 of the legs of 2 separate journeys. We are going from Lucerne, Switzerland to Paris and the leg of our journey from Basel Sbb to Mulhouse Villa did not require a reservation or have a way to reserve if we wanted to on the eurrail site. Same for our trip from Rome to Lucerne, the leg from Arth-Goldau to Lucerne. Is that something we just go and get on the train with our passes or is there somewhere we can book those? I would hate for the train to be full and we miss certain connections we do have reserved.

Passenger booked and paid for the 2nd class seat reservation through the Rail Planner app but the ticket is issued under 1st class. Will they have issue boarding since they are holding the Eurail Global Mobile Pass Flex - 2nd Class. Please find attached ticket copy and payment copy.  2.
